Award Voting - For May 2012

MAY 2012 Award Voting

Well, now that I've got your attention....

If you can, please vote for every category though if you absolutely
cannot think of anything, you can skip them.

Voting ends April 30th. Each first place winner will get a small
banner to put in their signature and their picture will be up in the
welcome table. That means those who have banners now will lose
theirs when the winners are announced but don't worry, all award
graphics will be kept in a thread located in this section.

Also, when you go ahead and do your voting, we would love it if
you give us a reason for why you're voting for them. Thanks!
And make sure not to just vote for the same person over and over
again, and especially not yourself :P You can also give people
"honorable mentions" if you simply just can't pick only 2 people for
a category. Just mention them and although they won't be counted
in voting, you can still give them props!

Another little thing to keep in mind is that our votes are weighted.
This means that when we tally them, for each category, who you vote
as for first place gets two points tallied, and who you vote as for
second place gets one pointed tallied. That's just a little tidbit to
keep in mind when you're doing your votes :)

Note that for pairing it doesn't have to be all romantic, it can simply
be a duo or tag team.

Female of the Month:
1. Iofiel - I just love her so much. Iofiel has so much personality and all of her posts are so well-written and engaging to read. Chrissi is a great rper and Iofiel is an epic character.
2. Woodrow Smith - God, I just love her. She's one of the most interesting and fun characters I've ever gotten to play with. Hez always has the greatest characters and Woody is just pure awesome.

Male of the Month:
1. Sam Winchester - Ghi captures Sam perfectly, even someone as difficult as soulless Sam. She gives him so much depth and his plotline is constantly interesting. Seriously, her Sam is amazing.
2. Alaric Saltzman - Sarah is basically the perfect Ric. She's active even when she has a lot going on and is always completely in character.

Pairing of the Month:
1. Illyria & Evelyn - A God-King and her priestess. I'm pretty intrigued by these two and their both played by such great rpers, need I say more?
2. Caroline Forbes & Damon Salvatore - They speak for themselves, really.

Thread of the Month:
1. Torn right open (Jo & Bela) - One of those threads I'm stalking. Two epic characters and conflicting morals, it's pretty awesome.
2. All abandon hope (Group thread) - Really, epic thread.

Member of the Month:
1. Becca - Because she's completely awesome? I think she's one of the most helpful and friendly members on the entire site. Not to mention, incredibly, incredibly active with consistently great writing.
2. Chrissi - Chrissi is so exciting and fun to plot and thread with. All her posts are amazing and she's full of awesome ideas. I just love her.

Female of the Month:
1. Jo Harvelle – On a scale of 1-Active, this sparky bright young woman is out there doing some fantastic threads with fantastic stalkableness to go with it all.
2. Sage Leighton – I’m not gonna lie, I love Sage as a character so very very much (not to mention I love Alice too!) But Sage is so damn adorable and a completely good sport for going on a date with Grumpy nuts! (Bobby Singer)

Male of the Month:
1. Alaric Saltzman – Because he is an awesometastic character that I can’t get enough of, everything about him just makes me like him, and Sarah plays him beautifully, I cannot fault her or this character at all..
2. Sam Winchester – It’s Sam Winchester, and he’s so well played, it’s hard not to vote for him! Seriously! I haven’t really given Ghi the appropriate credit, but I’m doing it now because she’s pulled back awesome style with this character.

Pairing of the Month:
1. Jo & Dean – I am determined to get one of my characters to throw them in a room and make them have relations because IT’S KILLING MEH! They are so awesome together it hurts so much ;-;
2. Alaric Saltzman & Arabelle Wood – Why?... Why the hell not? They’re like… omgg they’re so good in threads together and it makes stalking acceptable. I can’t get enough of threads with these two awesome people in.

Thread of the Month:
1. There Goes My Valentine (Dean Winchester & Rhiannon Castleton) – Dean + Rhiannon + Valentines = Happy Days. I mean c’mon, similar personalities, getting on like a house on fire, similar tastes. What’s not to love about this thread?
2. Birthdays, booze and… Puppies?(Arabelle, Alaric, Elena) – Early days I know but it’s made of so much adorable that even puppy!cas face has a run for its money.

Member of the Month:
1. Cyn – Do I need a reason? Like, fo’ realz? She’s so fast with replies, they are always tip top epic, she is the epitome of epicocity, and oh yeah, IT’S CYN… I think I’ve made my point.
2. Becca – Because Because Because Because Because… Because of the wonderful things she does! I love reading her threads and she’s always like so fun to read with all her characters and everything and I can’t get the words out to describe it properly.

Female of the Month:
1. Whiskey Kings - I know I am repeating myself and that Ghi had issues which kept her from being super active for the past month but I think that Whiskey deserves proper credit because she is a marvelous character - well-conceived and well-played, very consistent and she has something about herself that makes you d'aww and want to give her plentiful cuddles.
2. Ella Monroe - Becca is definitely a character guru, whether they're original or canon, and Ella is a really nice creation of hers. I love the whole history she has going (poor fiancee), as well as the whole werewolf-doctor concept.

Male of the Month:
1. Sam Winchester - Yes, I am going to repeat myself yet another time and say that Sam is awesome and Ghi is doing great at portraying the soulless creep factor he has going on.
2. Stephen Crowley - Because I simply had to vote for two soulless creeps this month? *cough* The real reason, though, is that Mandy somehow makes this soulless creep fascinating and, in a way, lovable (if you're the kind that loves bad guys). He is stalkable both because you want to see what new evil scheme he has going and to be there when the time comes for him to actually pay the price for all his deeds.

Pairing of the Month:
1. Jo Harvelle & Dean Winchester - Because they're all tense and angsty and all unsolved issues. Gotta love the tension.
2. Illyria & Alaric Saltzman - They make an odd/interesting team and it's always interesting reading smurfette and a human around each other - hilarity is bound to ensue at any moment.

Thread of the Month:
1. All abandon hope (group) - A very good idea and it's been well run - not to mention that everyone in it has been awesome so far. Pretty epic start to the apocalypse if you ask me and everyone should go read it if they haven't done so already.
2. Going under - Like I said above, it is fascinating seeing Illyria interact with humanity, even more so when she actually shows human emotions such as concern - and this thread has it. It can only get more interesting from the point where it's currently at.

Member of the Month:
1. Rabbit - Because she always comes up with awesome original characters and she's friendly, open to ideas, eager to plot - and she can type! How many rabbits can do that?
2. Becca - See last month's reasoning - especially ability to maintain herself active in spite of issues biting her ass. Plus - she's fluffly.
Honorable shout-out: Mandy, because she spoils my muse with her characters and ideas, and Cyn, for the fact that she's always eager to plot with everyone, irrespective of fandom. Not to mention that both are epic RP'ers.

Female of the Month:
1. Whiskey Kings - I know I've said this once before but this character is just so well developed, well done Ghi!
2. Woodrow Smith - Well she is obviously a rebel I find her so fascinating and look forward to seeing more from this character.

Male of the Month:
1. Rupert Giles - Because it's about time this character was paid it's due, and the way he is played is so perfectly in sync with whatever thread he is in.
2. Crowley - I'm throwing Crowleys name into the hat because Chrissi is doing such a bang up job with him.

Thread of the Month:
1. All Abandon Hope (group thread) - I could tell that alot of thought was put into this wonderful thread, the characters are caught between a rock and a hard place and of course the First is there to poke fun at their plight.
2. It comes with a price (Lucifer and Wesley) - Well these two have quite an interesting thread going and the writing is top notch, so this has my vote.

Member of the Month:
1. Kmy - Such an excellent RPer, taking on so many major BTVS characters is no small feat, so I do believe you deserve this!
2. The Staff - I will always mention our wonderful staff for their: dedication, patience, and willingness to make this site what it is today.

1. Alaric Saltzman - Ric needs all the support he can get...plus, Sarah writes him so perfectly ^^
2. Crowley - Why the hell not? It's Crowley and he is amaaazing! Chrissi does a fab job with this character!

1. Jo Harvelle & Dean Winchester - ...I shouldn't have to say why on this one, it's pure logic!
2. Alaric Saltzman & Arabelle Wood - It's slightly more ironic to me how their dynamic is working, particular since I know a certain future plot.

1. Birthdays, booze and...puppies? (Alaric Saltzman, Arabelle Wood & Elena Gilbert) - Alaric has a puppy now! Happy belated birthday, Ric :P
2. The Hunt Begins (Dean Winchester & Crowley) - I just think it's not quite getting the recognition it deserves to be honest.

1. Cyn - I just adore Cyn and the amount of effort she puts in even when she's super busy!
2. Alice - She's too adorable for words sometimes! Plus, she was very sweet when I said Klaus was missing from a video someone linked in the Cbox XD

Okay, so I was lazy with the reasoning this month xD But you guys all know why I vote for who I vote for; activity, writing skillz, consistently keeps in character, howmuchiloveyou, stuff like that. :3 anywho. /zooms away

1. Iofiel - She's just so freaking adorable!! I have much fun stalking her threads XDD She is also very well written!
2. Woodrow Smith - I love this character! She is extremely interesting, and fun to read ^^

1. Alaric Saltzman - ZOMG!!! I am now biased along with Sarah, cuz, frankly, Ric is pretty kick ass and SO HUGSQUISHABLEEE <3 Plus, Sarah writes him very well :3
2. Sam Winchester - Many of you have said it, so really, just repeating, but Ghi has such a good grasp on him, and makes soulless Sam fascinating and creepy. Gotta love it!

1. Damon and Elena Gilbert - Alright, I'm into season 2 of VD, and while I just can't decide where I stand exactly, I do have to say that I love Damon. These two are both wonderfully written here on the board, and zomg the TENSION. nuff said.
2. Jo and Dean - ... speaking of TENSION. Come on, do I really even have to justify why I'm voting for these two? XD

1. Abandon all hope (everyone down there >>) - Holy wow!! This thread is just pure awesomeness, I guarantee that I have been stalking this since it went up. You are all wonderful writers!!
