WHO? : Sev, Seven, if she really likes you she’ll also let you call her Sevvy. Occasionally Severus has actually gone under the alias “Rio”, and she will allow her friends to call her that. Angels may know her by her true name, Sachiel.

WHAT? : Fallen Angel, part-time hunter, student at the New York University, animal shelter volunteer.

PICTURE PERFECT : With her head held high, Sev seems to strut with self-confidence and yet with a cheery smile on her face, displaying her friendly nature. Despite Severus’s friendly demeanor she almost seems to strut with not only self-confidence, but some look of independence. She’s also defiantly no eyesore, with her beautiful youthful yet petite looks and her (slightly) copper-tinted skin from being partially Filipino and partially Mexican. Severus is one to behold, and with her youthful face one could easily mistake her for her younger sister’s age! Another striking feature that may hint to her unearthly species is her amber-brown eye mixture eyes. While her eyes are also stunning, they can be extremely expressive, although after all these years Severus has developed her own ‘poker face’. Able to pull off any serious look she requires. Overall people may notice that something is off about the young woman, and yet many shrug it off when they notice her friendly, bubbly demeanor.

Severus’s fashion style can change depending on her mood. Although typically Sev is very simple usually wearing either a graphic tee, striped tee-shirt of some sort or just a nice hoodie. On rare occasions you may find her wear a dress, although that is if it’s a really nice day. When it comes to pants, you will always find Sev wearing jeans (usually skinny jeans). Only in the summer you might find her wearing kakis, but even that can be rare. Severus also has a beanie obsession, and you can often find her wearing some beanie from her mass beanie hat collection.

• Family / Friends: The more the merrier! If you’re a friend (or family member) of Sev’s then you have a partner for life. Reckon you don’t go backstabbing her.

• Justice: Sev strongly believes in karma, you do something bad then you deserve something bad to happen back to you. She just likes having justice served.

• Rainstorms: She finds them relaxing to listen to, and she loves the smell of an upcoming rainstorm.


• Beanies: Sev has a vast collection of beanies, and you can often find her wearing them.

• Churches: They just make her feel safe, and at peace. (Naturally)

• Reading novels / Comic books: Sev loves reading, and she is especially a big fan of both the Harry Potter Series and the Mortal Instruments, this trait is something she has most defiantly inherited from her mother.

• Leadership: An old passion that Sev has had ever since her angel days. Sev just loves being in the position of power.

• Spicy food: Yum!

• Animals: Sev loves animals like crazy, and she is even a proud owner of a blue brindle American pit bull terrier / Catahoula Cur mix named Nemo. Sev has also made herself well known at the local animal shelter, and is a volunteer.

• History: Sev excelled in her history class, and now Sev has taken her love for history to a whole new level. Buying as many history books and watching as many history documentaries as she can as possible, Sev just finds it all fascinating.

• Goofing around: Sev is just plainly a geek when she goofs off, but in a good way. Sev just loves to goof around and have a good laugh, and to occasionally get a good laugh out of others.

DISLIKES :

• Aggressive Monsters: Ugh, especially the one that’s killing her family. Sev just wants to get rid of them all.

• Disloyalty: She absolutely hates it!

• Being confined: She’s not scared about being confined … it just makes her really uncomfortable.

• People who are hard to please: She’s had enough of that with her father!

• Cowards: She just can’t stand them.

• Alcohol / Being drunk: She went to one party, got drunk because of some dare … to put it simply, she never wants to experience that ever again. She also is disgusted by the taste of alcohol now.

• Jerks / Bullies: “Do I have to answer this one …? I just hate bullies.”

• Helplessness: Only once has Sev ever felt helpless, and that was when she learned her mother was dead.

• Loud sounds: Loud music, police sirens, honking cars, Sev hates those sounds. It’s already bad enough with angel’s ringing in her ears, she doesn’t need to hear all those loud noises too.

• Being told ‘No’: Sev just hates hearing the word ‘no’, even if she’s saying it to someone.

GOALS : Mainly Sev wants to be a good guardian for her younger half-sibling Mariah. While Sev does want to protect people from monsters as well, she also wants to live a normal life. Right now Sev really wants to just graduate from New York University, and would like to eventually get a job as a teacher. Although putting aside her normal goals, she does have one other major goal. Sev wants to track down the monster that’s killing her family and she wants to destroy it. Also … Sev would really like to get the voices (angels) out of her head at the moment.



SO, WHAT ARE YOU LIKE? :

Sev is naturally just a people-person. She cares about others, and does care about how she could affect others. Mainly people may find Sev extremely friendly and outstandingly sweet, with her bubbly personality and her great sense of humor. She isn’t afraid to show the world that she’s a sweet, friendly, happy young woman. Despite her friendliness anyone could easily see that Sev knows how to take care of herself, as she holds herself with some sort of confidence. This unmistakable look that tells others “I don’t need other people, I can take care of myself , but I love being with you all anyways’. Severus is naturally quite independent, and can easily take care of herself. She knows that she’s a strong and beautiful young woman, but she’s not going to boast about it. Sev is virtuous, having high moral standards, although not snobbishly high. This may have something to do with her angelic past, and her independent personality. Sev is respectful of others, and what they do. But she has a lot of self-respect, and all she wants from others is respect and maybe their friendship.

Severus is an amazing friend, and once you get close to her, you’ll have a friend for life. She’s goofy, she’s bubbly and she’s an amazing geek of a friend to have. Sev is extremely loyal to those she loves. Only once has she ever really ‘betrayed’ someone she cared for. Yet that was when she ripped out her grace. Her friends may know her as a sweet, humorous girl with an odd past that doesn’t stand in her way at all. Sev is especially known for obsession with reading books and comics, along with watching television shows, her favorite being the Office. Sev would also be known for being kind of a quirky girl, and to her human friends she would be seen as obsessive when it comes to mythology and anything that pertains to the supernatural. Despite her obsession with the supernatural, many would just see Severus as a young woman who really likes reading or watching stories. Nothing more.

Sev has retained some of her old angelic traits. She is a natural born leader, and loves to lead other people. She can also be extremely serious, almost seeming very cold, despite her often cheery behavior. Although seeming somewhat cold when she is serious, Sev is extremely protective of those she loves and is very maternal. She only does what she thinks is best for everyone. Sev loves organization, she loves to lead (although she can be somewhat controlling), she’s independent and she has grown to be somewhat stubborn. Sev also has a very good sense of justice, and does believe that if you do something good, something good will happen to you. If you do something bad, then something bad will happen to you.

WHAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU SO FAR?:

It was many millennias ago, Sev’s existence didn’t exactly start as she had thought. Long ago before the creation of mankind Sev was known as the angel Sachiel. Sachiel was a respected angel, and was high up in the hierarchy of angels. While she was nowhere near as high as the glorious archangels, Sev was known as a fierce warrior and utterly loyal to her Father. Sachiel was obedient and never questioned her Father. Sachiel was just another good little soldier, as she never questioned her orders, she just followed her commands and she always did her job well. She was loyal and angels respected her, there was no denying it. Sachiel was a good warrior, and would become a good friend to mankind. Sachiel would grow to love mankind so much to the point that going down in a vessel to protect humans with her garrison wasn’t enough. Sachiel wanted to be human. Sure, it would take forever for her to actually gather up enough bravery and the want to be human to rip out her own grace. Sachiel didn’t want to leave her brothers and siblings, but she hated being an angel. She hated feeling nothing, she hated having to look tough and showing no emotion to impress her angelic siblings. Sachiel felt this was the only way, this way she could have her own body and not some vessel, and so she could have a clean slate and forget her angelic past.

Born November twenty-fourth in the year 1992, born to Eleanor Santos and Agustino Santos, Sachiel had entered the world with a clean slate. Sachiel was named “Severus Luminosa Rio Santos” by her loving mother, being named after her mother’s favorite Roman Emperor, Septimius Severus. Sachiel, who would now go under the nickname “Sev”, was going to live your average human life. Or so she thought. Little did Sachiel know that she was born to one calm yet experienced part-time hunter for a mother and one obsessive yet skilled hunter for a father.

Sev’s childhood wasn’t too bad, actually it went quite well. Despite her absent father. She was raised with her mother in a tight-knit community within Salem, Massachusetts. Sev was socialized with many of the local kids, despite the fact that she was homeschooled her whole life. Sev wasn’t a part of any cliques in the community, rather she was just known as ‘Sev, the neighborhood friendly, quirky, bubbly girl’. She made many friends, and was friends with almost everyone. She was a respected kid, known for being extremely intelligent and very gifted. Sev knew all of her neighbors well, and often her mother Eleanor dropped her off at their neighbor’s houses when she would go out monster hunting. There were things that the neighborhood did not know about Sev or Eleanor. Even though the neighborhood thought they knew each other so well. Eleanor was a hunter, and Sev was a hunter in training. Yet despite her mother’s stern combat training, Sev plainly found her childhood odd, yet quite nice.

Sev was fourteen when she saw her dad for the second time. (Her first time being when she was an infant). She didn’t know much about her dad, other than he was just your average hunter. Well, an obsessive hunter actually, since he never had time for his only daughter. Yet Sev found the encounter with her father quite awkward, rather she saw her father as a stranger rather than her own kin. Despite the father and daughter’s odd relationship, Sev had other things to worry about. She was given her first opportunity to hunt, and she wasn’t only expected to accept the challenge and she was expected to succeed. Of course Sev wanted to prove herself to her parents, and so she accepted her first monster hunting case. Sev did not expect the case to be as difficult as it was going to be though. Within the first four days Sev finally concluded that it was a decent-sized pack of Ugenta vampires, who had been would be taunting humans and hinting to humans about their immediate death, and then of course the sadistic vampires would drain the human dry. Despite her best efforts, Sev’s father was not impressed. Which only drove her to work harder and try and make the man proud of her, she was desperate to impress her parents. Soon enough Sev herself got caught up in the case and eventually became bait, the vampires began to attack her and Sev was nearly killed. Thankfully though, Sev and her father destroyed the vampires right there. Yet despite Sev’s efforts, her father would still remain unimpressed of his daughter’s hunting abilities and would prompt Eleanor into letting him train Sev to be a hunter.

Sev was now sixteen, her parents were still deciding on who would train their daughter. Sev’s mother had been on a case, and was busy. She tried to pry some information about the case out of her mother, but Eleanor simply refused to tell her. She didn’t understand why her mother wouldn’t tell her, until one quiet winter day. Sev had come home from visiting the neighbor’s house, only to find her mother lying in her own pool of fresh blood. Eleanor didn’t die quickly, rather she struggled and she tried to fight back, only to have her chest torn apart and her heart missing. She swore revenge on whatever had killed her beloved mother, knowing that something supernatural was afoot. She tried desperately to find out what killed her mother before her father would come to retrieve his estranged daughter, yet she could never actually find out what had done it.

When Sev’s father Agustino came in, all she could feel was anger and melancholy. Agustino found her mourning over her mother, and he simply told her to suck it up and take it in, because death was just a part of life. That night Agustino would burn his deceased wife’s body, while Sev watched pitifully. Praying that her mother went to Heaven, and was having the best time there. That night she was restless, she didn’t want to live with her father. She didn’t even know him that well, other than the fact that they were related and he was an obsessive and narcissistic hunter. This was also the last time she would ever be in her childhood home ever again. Now the teenager would be forced into a nomadic life, something that would be extremely new to young Sev.

After Sev’s final night at her childhood home, she got to meet one more family member. Sev learned that while Agustino was out and about hunting, he had multiple affairs. One of them resulting in his new youngest daughter. She despised her father for the affair, but she grew close to the teen, who was not only her sibling but a child who knew nothing about a normal life. Sev would learn that her younger half-sibling’s name was Mariah. An amazing teen that was just two years younger than Sev herself, Sev grew close to Mariah and tried to play the role as her mother, her sister, and her friend. Now the traits that Sev was well known for in Heaven were beginning to shine through, her natural leadership, her protectiveness and yet her respectable and maternal behavior as well. Despite the fact that her true personality beginning to shine through Sev would never figure out about her past life.

When Sev was eighteen Agustino was working a case in Maine, yet many of the details were hidden from her. Eventually while working on a case Sev and Agustino got into a fight, and that tore the family apart. She left for a whole day with Mariah. Yet when they would return back to Agustino’s motel room the next day, they would find Agustino’s body lying on the ground in this extremely large pool of crimson blood. She found the body once again torn open in the torso, and she immediately realized that it was the same monster. Quickly Sev packed all of their things and moved to New York, she wasn’t sure why but she was drawn to the place. Perhaps it was the abundant amount of monsters? Maybe it was her hunter instincts kicking in? She wasn’t quite sure, but she felt safer once the small disgruntled family made it to the Big Apple.

Now just after a year of being recognized as an adult, Sev has been taking care of her sibling Mariah and tries her best to be a good mother figure to Mariah. She has somewhat given up on hunting, only going out on hunts whenever she feels the need or want to. She has also taken her father’s inheritance, which gave her enough money to get into New York University. She also happily has found an average human job as a waitress at the Watering Hole. Yet despite her attempts to be normal, she hasn’t helped but notice the sounds of people talking within her head. Severus can finally hear angels speaking, but as of now she thinks she may be slowly going insane and hasn’t told anyone about this. — Yet again who would tell someone else about their recent insanity?

Hey hun! Very, very cool character concept you have here. Just a few things to check out before I can accept.

The first is a bit nitpicky, but I'm a Harry Potter geek, so x3 The first book wasn't published until '97, so the idea of her being named after that particular Severus doesn't fit well, otherwise she'd be maximum fifteen which throws off a bit. You could always go through history stuff and find the name - Septimius Severus, Severus Alexander, and tons of others, have her mom be a bit of a history geek, maybe? That or change the name entirely, but it's up to you.

The second bit is significantly larger. You have it listed that her mom's a slayer, which well, doesn't make much sense. The chances of Sachiel being reborn to a slayer mother, for one, are super super tiny. And even so - her mom wouldn't have lived until she was sixteen. The latest she could have lived to was '96, when Buffy was called on as a slayer, since whenever her mom would have been called on, it would have been definitely before all of the potentials being activated. It just pretty much doesn't work whatsoever - I'd recommend just tweaking it so her mother was either just a human or a hunter.

Either way, let me know when you've made these changes ^^
