The Ultimate NI Survey V.2!

Hi guys! As promised we have a survey to call out all ideas you have for the different fandoms. There have been a lot of debate about different fandoms getting more attention than others. People seem frustrated that there's not enough plots devoted to specific fandoms (like Buffy centric plots and SPN centric plots), outside of cross fandom plots. In addition to what I've already said, I want to point out that we have not updated anyone's plots since November. We have a schedule set of when we will hold these surveys and you can read about that here.

As for plot progression that happens in between those times, I want to say that it really has been in the vision of the site for the players to take the reigns for their own character progressions. If more direction is needed within your fandoms, I encourage everyone to please brainstorm among yourselves to make things happen. It has always been a goal of mine within the creation of this site to have the players collectively put their heads together to make awesome plots and stories. So again, I encourage you guys to come up with as many plots as you want by utilizing the Major Planning board if you feel that plots within your specific fandom isn't having enough direction.

This should be a team effort guys - lets continue to make this site awesome!

Ways to Move Plots Along

• Utilize the NPC Section to create big bad. As stated in that section, the whole purpose of it is to create your big bad plot devices. Lets make our own Adam, or The Beast from Angel, or our own Azazel. It will help give fandoms some direction outside of mixing with other fandoms. Create a monster, create a big bad demon, use your imagination
  
• Read peoples plotters in the RP Request Section. Make a point to just skim a few people's plotters just to see where connections can be made and what ideas can be made with other characters in relation to your fandom. For instance, if some is a cop, then that character can fit easily in other fandoms without it being 'cross fandom'.
  
• Also take any opportunity to think of plots on your own and add on to other people's ideas. This is the most important way - again, this is an "open" plot for a reason, to give you guys some control over what you want to see on the board. So if you play a main canon in one of the fandoms, then help lead the initiative to get the fandom plots going independently. Subplots don't need to be approved by staff unless it shapes the entire make up of the plots already put in place or disrupts the "world" drastically - if you feel iffy about it, again just ask. Other than that, you can go crazy.
  
• Utilize the First Evil. The First Evil is an open NPC for anyone to play and is specifically from the Buffy fandom, but can be used for any fandom. The Best thing about the First is that he can shake things up for anyone. The First could have a ton of followers to defeat. He really is our big big bad. Let's use him The same thing can be said for Lucifer in SPN - there's gotta seriously be some serious devil worshipers right? LOL
  
• Utilize the Plot Grab Bag. I made this thread so we can all collectively brainstorm epic plots that any fandom can use and expand on at any time. We used that to come up with the Past Regression plot so lets keep it going!
  
• Take initiative. Yes, even though we update the site plot every once and a while doesn't mean you cant progress things on your own as the show advances, especially if it doesn't involve any new canon characters and makes sense within the board. For example, in TVD - Alaric Saltzman's ring that allows him to be protected from supernatural deaths started malfunctioning. If Alaric's player wants to, she can find ways to incorporate that into some plots going on in the fandom at large or just a small group of characters within the fandom.
  
• This is a collaborative effort and we need everyone's input, and the first way you can do this is to let us know what you want to see happen with this survey.

About the Buffy/Angel Fandom

If you have not heard before - the reason why we don't allow this site to be completely comic book canon is because it simply didn't fit into the original vision of the site. Writers of the comics get a lot of free reign within the medium - freedom they were not allowed on the TV show, therefore a lot of the things that happen in the comics might not be realistic to the TV shows. That said, we do want to include somecomic ideas and characters to progress plot, and shake up things up within the Buffy/Angel world. From these ideas we will pick and chose which ones we will allow on the site and if your idea doesn't make it, please don't take that as personal bias against you or the Buffy fandom at large. This site was never based on the comics, and we want to achieve a kind of 'hybrid medium' when it comes to the TV show and the comics. How? Well we can shape and mold and blend the comic ideas into our own, change things up and add things to it to fit the site. We are using the comics as inspiration rather than 'this is canon. follow it.'

I hope that clears things up and that everyone keeps this in mind for the survey.

About the SPN Fandom

Staff collectively decided not to go the Godstiel route because 1) it didn't seem to be favorable amongst many SPN fans and 2) most importantly, there are a lot of opportunities for "god like" characters on the board as it is and we want to try to avoid more as much as possible. In addition, in relation to the fandom mixing, some confusing discrepancies might be made against other God-like figures, such as "the Powers that Be." In place of the Godstiel plot, we encourage you all to think of ways to work around it and let us know in the survey.

We have also allowed SPN vampires under the condition that they have to injest vamp blood then die in order to become a vampire, and there is no cure at all for vampirism. SPN werewolves were always allowed but we will make them more known in site documentation such as the wiki.

Also, we are working on getting a Castiel (as we always have).

About the Being Human Fandom

Last survey, we asked if we should include USA's version of being Human. We got mixed opinions and indifferent opinions so we as staff decided not to include it. Originally, we felt that the plotlines between the two shows were so similar that only one version was needed - and usually its best to go with the original. This seems to work well.

About the Vampire Diaries Fandom

We decided not to include TSC (the Secret Circle) in our bag of fandoms because we felt that the 6 fandoms that we have already were enough. We don't see ourselves adding anymore fandoms to the board at this time. (Put this in the TVD section because TVD and TSC seemed to be joined at the hip lately lol)

About the True Blood Fandom

We're working on getting a Bill Compton and Russell, I promise! lol
In the meantime....

1) Given all the debates going on, staff has discussed an idea to create a 'plotting committee.' The purpose of this committee would be to thread stalk the entire board and brainstorm ways for characters to intermingle with other characters/fandoms outside of their own - then inform players of these opportunities. Do you think this will be helpful and if so, would you be willing to join this committee? If it won't be helpful, why?

A) Yes I think it would be helpful, and yes I would be willing to join the committee


2) What are some things that the NI RPG is doing right? (As in, what stuff are you really liking, what is keeping you around, what would you like to see more of?)

A) The whole community as a whole really is just great, along with the staff, just great on every level; the plots that are in place so far are good as well. As for what I’d like to see more of, maybe one or two more Canon characters added to the list (Especially Being Human list). Also maybe more attention focused upon ‘The Authority’, perhaps try and bring in a few vampire factions that have been mentioned in the True Blood show.


3) Is there any thing that you feel would improve the site as a whole (please try not to repeat things already said in the suggestions/questions thread as well as other issues already discussed such as TSC, ICC, DoHTML, etc )?

A) Nothing really new or that hasn’t already been discussed or talked about


4) Any other comments about the site that you want to say that the staff should know?

A) Awesome community, Awesome Staff, NI FTW!!!

BUFFY/ANGEL

NOTE - PLEASE READ: Review the "About the Buffy/Angel fandom" portion of the original post before completing this section.

1) Are there any ideas from the comics that you think would be good to integrate on the site? Remember, try to envision your suggestion happening on the show first (in TV world). If it is likely to happen, then ask yourself how it effects (if at all) the way the NI world is set up and if it meshes well, lets hear it! Remember if your idea is not used, don't take it personally.

A) The only idea I can think of that is from the comic, is where Buffy is taken 200 years into the future, and finds that the world has almost been overrun by vampires. She also finds Willow, who has become immortal through magic, dark haired and covered in veins again, only this time it’s sent her kind of insane and mad. So maybe this could be adapted to be like another dimension, where things have turned out a lot differently than they have in the main dimension, and set 200 years ahead of the main dimension.

2) Should we NPC the comic "canons" that were added to the canon list the last time we had this survey? Especially since they haven't been taken?

A)If they can help with the plot etc then sure

3) Any other ideas/comments about Buffy/Angel fandom?

A) Other than maybe seeing more Buffy/Angel based demons and creatures, nope I can’t really think of anything else to say about either fandom.

TRUE BLOOD

1) I still have the Authority committee going and no takers lol. It would help me a lot if I could have a committee of members to help plot for the Authority. You don't have to play a TB character to be in it but you have to have watched TB. If you have seen the show, would you be willing to help plot for The Authority? It would involve checking a committee board and brainstorming ways to 'command' the AVL for site plots as needed.

A) I would love to help out with The Authority in any way I can, I have Eric of course, and I also have two more character slots, I could use one to create an Authority based character, either Canon or original, which could serve the Authority in any capacity.

2) Any other ideas/comments about the TB fandom? I know we're still waiting til the summer until the next season starts but if you have any ideas to help draw players to pick up some of the canons that would be very helpful!

A)Maybe add one or two book based Canon’s to the current list, characters which haven’t really been seen in the show, but have great potential to develop into well rounded characters. Or can be brought in as ‘Baddie of the week’ type characters, which the main characters (from every fandom) have to deal with/kill off.

((I have omitted the shows I don’t have that much knowledge on, I hope that’s alright))

I thought I best put a note on the top of this and remind you lovely admin that I did warn you that I was holding back my ideas for this survey to save conflict and the like, so be prepared in order to spend a good long time having to read what I have to say :P I just hope that I am as constructive and cohesive as I was last time :/ here's to being a 7 out of 10 in attitude, about a 6 out of 10 in muse, but a 3, maybe 4 out of 10 in health today ><

A) I think it would be pretty helpful, but I think it would be only helpful if the committee had like a person per fandom or something like that. This is because I think that an overly large committee would defeat the object of the site having an open plot – one of the things that attracted me to this place was that the creative vice belonged to each character. I have already said I will happily volunteer for this as I have no qualms about thread stalking and I'm just the volunteering sort of person.

2) What are some things that the NI RPG is doing right? (As in, what stuff are you really liking, what is keeping you around, what would you like to see more of?)

A) I'm honestly liking all of it, apart from the sudden need to bicker over simple requests. There's only so much the admin can do to make everyone happy. I would like to see more members throwing big plot ideas at the admin as it's a pretty enjoyable experience since they all seem to have their heads screwed on properly and can work out the kinks with next to minimal effort, as long as you're willing to listen to what they have to say and not take it as a personal attack if they don't like something.

3) Is there any thing that you feel would improve the site as a whole (please try not to repeat things already said in the suggestions/questions thread as well as other issues already discussed such as TSC, ICC, DoHTML, etc. )?

A) I think more stuff in the Muse Centre could possibly help as the biggest thing people seem to be struggling with is their muse and, well, that's what the admin put the board there for. If people aren't utilising it as a resource when they are apparently museless, then they need to start doing so. The truth about muse is it's a state of mind and there is actually never a point which a person should say they don't have muse – you just have to get writing, even if it's rubbish and something will spark.

I think that there should also be some sort of focus on developing spelling and grammar checking abilities as I know, for some people, English isn't necessarily their first language. I realise that to some people that probably doesn't seem like a big thing, but the common comments the admin put on applications is about spelling and grammar. I think I've helped out at least one individual with this and he has actually improved greatly with actually very little input (I <3 Adam ^^ my little OOC progeny, hehe)

4) Any other comments about the site that you want to say that the staff should know?

A) I absolutely adore you guys and I think you're doing an outstanding job in trying to make everyone happy, even if it doesn't always work out. There's only so much you guys can do without having to bend over backwards and upset other people in the process. It's very difficult to find a totally happy medium, but I think that's what this place has most of the time. I always offer and it still stands that I will help out if you guys ever need an extra set of eyes and another form of input or whatever.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES

THINGS TO NOTE: We will leave Original Family characters out of the equation since there is a plot planned for opening the coffins and I believe requests have been made not to advance the plot in that way. We will automatically include Meredith Fell and Bonnie's mother in the canon list.

1) Should we kill Bill Forbes? It is in canon, and it appears as though this canon might not be taken up by anyone. What do you think? Why and why not?

A) I'm not sure we should just kill him outright as I believe Becca was keen to do a few things with him. I think if anything, he should be made into an NPC character, so then if anyone needs him for scenes for the time being, that he can be called upon and used as a resource. I personally do enjoy the daddy/daughter conflicts, I just don't get Bill that much to take him up as a character (sorry, Becca *pouts*) and there is only so many characters I can take :P

2) Should we send Jeremy Gilbert away, as done in the show?

A) I talked with Mel about Jeremy and I suggested to her that she should see if Jeremy could be made into an NPC character (I'm obsessed with NPCs at the moment it would seem) and that I would happily volunteer to write for him as an NPC, regardless of how much the little dweeb annoys me :P I just think because he's not really been explored that having a few scenes with him and Elena and possibly other people before sending him away would be more ideal for story.

3) The NPC ghosts - Vicki, Grams, Mason - seem to be underutilized/not utilized at all. Should we keep this in the plot for later opportunities or scrap the idea?

A) I think, considering the Hellmouth plot line that Mandy has put up, that they should be transferred to that plot, so then they have an expiry date as keeping them as NPCs is just a waste of character slots. I realise that there's no limits to NPCs, but having them open as full time NPCs and not being used is a bit of a waste. I just think that considering that plot, they would fit a great deal better there and would be more easily accessible as part of a grander scheme.

3) Any other ideas/comments about TVD fandom?

A) I think everything is going well now that we have a bit more of a steadfast Elena and a few others in the main section of TVD characters. I just want to apologise for the slowness of me advancing Klaus, but I have every intention of having all of the hybrid stuff somewhere closer to complete by the end of the month (when I say 'complete', I mean watch out, Tyler, you'll be my lackey soon enough) and getting a few hybrids on board to start building Klaus' 'army'.

I would also like to take this opportunity to mention the people that have wished to have Klaus in their backstory. I was approached by Jared, who was actually pretty reasonable when I said that the story he had in mind wasn't very viable, but I would happily negotiate with him (I look forward to having you on board, fella ;)). I was also approached by someone who was not a member, who seemed to take it very personally when I said that she needed a good reason to involve Klaus in her history.

I realise that as the bad guy, Klaus is probably the one people think 'oh, yeah, he'd just kill this person and this one', when in actuality, much as he seems to have no emotional depth or any desire to have any true connections other than with his family, he's a little more complex than that and saying he just killed your family for no good reason would not happen, simply because if it doesn't affect him or benefit him in any way, Klaus isn't just gonna turn up at your house and eat you.

In short, if you really want to plot with Klaus, I'm all for it, but please, seriously, don't take it personally if I scrutinise your motivations. I just want what's best for each character wishing to get involved with him and the rest of the canon and having a solid groundwork behind the plots makes for a better experience in the long run. Klaus is as important to me as any of my characters and I'm sure people can understand that and feel the same way about their own.

A) I honestly don't know the full story behind the comics, but I think if people could pick ideas from it to through into the BtVS/Angel plot lines of the site, then it will help with the advancement issues that people from the canon seem to be having. As long as it's a viable idea and can help the site's version of the canon advance, then I think it would be a terrific idea to have the input of those who are more versed in the BtVS/Angel comic plot lines.

2) Should we NPC the comic "canons" that were added to the canon list the last time we had this survey? Especially since they haven't been taken?

A) I think that would be a great idea as they were a suggestion to be added to the canon list, but since they haven't been used, they should be shifted to the NPC character list. I think if, after that, they are not utilised as a plot resource, then perhaps the idea of using the comic canons should be reconsidered once again. What's the point in making the suggestion, getting the result and not using them as a resource within the plots throughout the canon?

3) Any other ideas/comments about Buffy/Angel fandom?

A) None what so ever at the moment, other than I think that there is actually plenty going on with characters within the fandom. Sure, there may not be any direct focus on plots within the canon as a whole, but there is definitely more than enough going on with BtVS/Angel characters that currently trawl all over this site. I think the lack of central plots for the canon is based around not having some of the key characters – if they had them, I think they'd be golden.

"HUNTING AIN'T EXACTLY A PRO-BALL CAREER."
SUPERNATURAL

NOTE: Staff has decided to remove Raphael from the canon list and use him as an NPC in order to progress plotting.

1) We want to hear any ideas on what we can do to move the SPN plot forward without going the Godstiel route. This is the exact same question we asked in the last survey and we still need suggestions. How can characters in the SPN fandom get involved on NI - what kind of plots can we do?

A) I honestly think that the Supernatural fandom is actually holding it's own at the moment. I think they really need to focus more on the issues with Lucifer and Crowley, if they're not going down the Godstiel route and particularly since it was a part of the NI Supernatural line. I hear the Leviathans is a really gruesome concept, having seen a few bits and pieces of them through accidentally being sucked into watching Supernatural in order to spend time with my mommers.

2) The Horseman hasn't been utilized in the NPC section. Any ideas about what could be done to use them in the SPN plot?

A) As much as I don't know about the Supernatural canon, I thought when the Horsemen went up that some sort of outright war was going to be started within the plot (within the plot, guys, not within the site...all for entertainment purposes and all that). I was interested to see what the canon was going to do about them, since I have an avid interest in the Four Horsemen concept. If you want ideas on how to use them, maybe refer to The Crow: Wicked Prayer (kinda bad movie, decent concept with the Horsemen).

3) Any other ideas/comments about the SPN fandom?

A) As you're perfectly aware and I tend to remind people like all of the time, I'm not that well versed in Supernatural, which would possibly make me one of the best sounding boards for ideas if the admin can't make the decisions surrounding the canon. I would be the one to ask the obvious questions and possibly help spark the ideas. I dunno. I just thought I'd throw that in there. I would also like to take this opportunity to say that I am going to be versed in Supernatural in the next couple of weeks, so watch out!

A) First off, dude...I said I'd help with the Authority :P I would happily plot of the Authority and check the committee board and various other things required of being a bad ass, especially since the AVL are a pivotal point of the site's TB plot, yet it currently underutilised ^^ if we could get more people involved with the AVL to be used as puppets by the people in the Authority committee, then we could see a few more interesting ventures as far as that is concerned.

Another point, although, perhaps not a particularly big one, with regards to the Authority is that I do have big plans, albeit quite vague plans at the moment, for Rhiannon, despite her not being a Ugenta vampire and would be interested in following up the idea of whatever or not the Authority would take interest in her if she actually came out about her age and her Solemus vampire social standing. Part of her being in the AVL is her interest in the Authority.

2) Any other ideas/comments about the TB fandom? I know we're still waiting 'til the summer until the next season starts but if you have any ideas to help draw players to pick up some of the canons that would be very helpful!

A) I think, considering the gaps in the canon list with regards to which of the TB characters we actually have at the moment, it becomes very difficult to try and plot anything on a large scale. I think those that are here at the moment are making the best of what they've got, so I applaud them for that. If we could just get a few more people on board with playing TB characters, then things would spark really well. I think it's more likely to happen when TB comes back on this summer, but it's unfair to make the canon wait that long.

"EVERYONE DIES. ACTUALLY, CAN I START THAT AGAIN?"
BEING HUMAN

NOTE: As with season 4, we will automatically add Tom McNair to the canon list but will hold off on adding Hal and such until a few more episodes have passed. Old One and Elm Wolf info has been added to the wiki.

1) Should we kill off Herrick or should we keep him alive and have him work with the coming Old Ones (given that Herrick might be an unpopular canon for people to pick up)?

A) I think, given that he's been pretty unpopular thus far, that we should have him permanently killed off, perhaps work it into the existing BH plot that he didn't come back at all as I don't believe there's been any advancement on that as far as he is concerned. I think bringing him in would offset anything that the BH fandom could possibly be falling into since we have the full compliment of the main four at the moment. As much as he would make for a big plot element, I think we could think of something better for BH.

2) Any other ideas/comments about the BH fandom?

A) I would like to take this opportunity to really speak up on behalf of my canon. Since I was like the first person to take and hold a BH character from the start of my time here, I feel it is my duty to be the loudest voice about it, particularly since no one else who's currently in the canon has done thus far. I think this canon is the one that is actually quite segregated from the other canons and something to tie it in with the others would be just the movement it needs.

I think in terms of the new season, it is just worth waiting to see the season out before bring Hal or any of the new characters in. I am really interested in Hal being integrated into the canon list though, considering Rhiannon and the standing I designed for her, but I'm more than patient when it comes to his inclusion. It gives me plenty of time to deal with other issues in Rhiannon's background before throwing a spanner like Hal into the works.

I'm actually thoroughly looking forward to Tom being included since he and George are so different, yet so similar at the same time. They're two sides of one coin are those boys and George would love to have another werewolf to point in the right direction as I've always thought that George would regard Tom as a sort of younger brother of sorts. Tom amuses me no end, regardless of how dimwitted some people think he actually is.

With the new season stuff, another reason behind suggesting we should wait out the season is that the seasons are actually only eight episodes long and this season promises to cover the Solemus Old Ones better – something that I am particularly interested in and totally invested in developing since, in technical terms, Rhiannon is one. I think exploring the Solemus Old Ones would also be good for character development with Mitchell and the introduction of a kind of 'council' of Old Ones.

I think with the Old Ones, that perhaps integration or even opposition with the Authority would be a quite interesting concept, especially since the Authority are pretty elitist in their views of other vampire. I think combined, the Solemus Old Ones and the Ugentan Authority would be a forced to be reckoned with, since the Solemus know all about the cover ups of vampires and the Ugentans are all about bringing them out of their coffins. Although, on the flip side, having them as opposition could create some interesting sparks...

A) I think it would be a good idea, I also see how the whole valentines day date thing went and honestly I wouldn’t have seen Sam and Sameria meeting before but now I totally see them becoming allys (well once he’s got his soul back). Why not get a group together to encourage this sort of interaction?

A) I love the mixture of the fandoms, I like how hunters from SPN can stand next to slayers and kill things.

Also I would love to see a short post section, somewhere we could go to just quickly put up smaller word count posts to wrap up stuff that needs to be done but not necessarily get a long thread all to itself.

A) I defiantly want to see the whole Leviathan plot, hell that’s something totally world encompassing. Also would be great to see a few more Urban Legend plots for not only SPN but for the rest of the other groups to deal with.

2) The Horseman hasn't been utilized in the NPC section. Any ideas about what could be done to use them in the SPN plot?

A) Death in particular can always be used to slap a soul back into Sam and of course torture Dean with, since it seems like he loves torturing Dean.

A) I’d like to see some SPN deities used as NPCs, like one or two, since they are grand fun. Heck they don’t have to even be Winchester related, who is to say that, for example, Eros doesn’t have a matchmaking service in NYC somewhere and feels sorry for old Ric and decides to hook him up?

A) I reckon a plotting committee would be a great idea, especially for the development of cross-fandom plots. I’ve seen it work on other sites and I think it could help further integrate the fandoms. I’d be willing to be part of such a committee!

A) The community on NI is possibly it’s greatest asset, as well as the awesome plots. I’d probably like to see more stuff with the weres, and maybe even something involving fairies?

A) Personally, I think while we’re waiting it might be an idea to incorporate some of the book series elements into the fandom. Like, for example, including a couple of book canons (Quinn and Amelia Broadway come to mind!), maybe even the possibility of a were/shifter revelation. It added an interesting twist to the books and I think it could be something that could be overreaching in all fandoms. As to drawing players in to pick up some of the canons, the best thing would probably be to spam places like caution and advertise the board on True Blood boards?

A) I think it would be very helpful, certainly a way to make sure all fandoms have a chance to not only be involved with things going on around the site but with each other as well. I'll admit still being somewhat new myself and not very familiar with other fandoms I've been a bit timid about branching out outside what my character is personally comfortable with. I think for this idea, there should be a several people, a couple as 'experts' of each of the five fandoms. Though I personally only know tvd I'm obsessed lol and I'd be more than happy to be part of this. 


2) What are some things that the NI RPG is doing right? (As in, what stuff are you really liking, what is keeping you around, what would you like to see more of?)

A) I'd hate to be so vague but honestly, I can't think of anything being done wrong. This site is amazing and even after only a month it's easily become my favorite place to rp. I honestly want to applaud the way everyone just makes this place work, crossovers and multifandoms are really hard to pull off and this site makes it look so effortless.

A) Honestly I don't see him being taken but just killing him off, I'm rather hesitant to just say yes. Sure I have Elena in my head totally and one hundred percent against this. I think Caroline'a player(in this case Becca) should have a stay and if all else fails he could be a possible npc.

A)  Another thing I'm honestly not sure of, I adore Jeremy, I really do. I was upset that they sent him away but I completely understand why and I do agree with the reasons.,I'd love the chance to actually do something with him first before (if) he gets sent away.

A) I think for now keep them around, at least for the plot coming up and I think they should be kept around. Honestly I think them not being used before is because there really hasn't bee a reason to do so.

A) Ideas, I don't have any at the moment...but as far as comments goes. I'm going to beg and plead that we not completely go in the direction the show is right now. Really anything post waking up the originals(as much as I love them) the writers are making me hate the show and I'd hate to feel that way here too.

A) I'm going to be completely honest here - I think that this is a good idea, and I definitely want to be involved, but I also feel like if it's handled badly, there's the potential for people to feel left out. I feel left out enough as it is with some of the larger group plots that are going on, being involved in big threads without being included in the discussion of what they're about or the purpose of my character being there, or not knowing how they're going to end and therefore what frame of mind my characters are going to be in for threads set afterwards. Knowing that there's potentially a whole board I can't see where people are discussing things that could affect my characters would bother me. Maybe this could be solved by making it so that any discussions could be viewed by everyone, or something like that, but to me a committee implies that it's going to be closed off, and that could potentially lead to feelings of cliqueiness which obviously we all want to avoid, even with 'reporting back'. So, yeah. I think it could definitely work, but I also think that there are potential issues that other people haven't picked up on so far.

And also, so far, everyone has said that they would want to be a part of it, which makes me wonder if it's really necessary for it to be a separate thing entirely, instead of just a brainstorming board where people can comment on their threadstalking - ideas without them being fully formed plots, and the like. It's not a committee if all the core members are on it, you know?

A) Activity, the variety of characters, the community, most things really. I know I've had issues lately, and they've kind of escalated into something so much bigger than I thought they would, but I really do love everything about this place.

A) Just more staff guidance on the overall plots for all the fandoms. A) I really, really want a couple of threads with Bill. Like, desperately. It would help Caroline's development so much. However, I know that it's unlikely that anybody would take him as a main character, so I'd suggest letting him be NPC'd, and hopefully someone will be happy to do a couple of daddy/daughter torture scenes with me, because they're always fun - and he could be used again after Tyler's been sired and made into a hybrid. I think ultimately he should be killed, but I'd really like the opportunity to do those things first - and maybe even play out his death a bit, with the talk between Caroline and Elena, and the scene in the bedroom and everything. So yeah, my vote is for NPC'ing him for a while, and then ultimately killing him.

2) Should we send Jeremy Gilbert away, as done in the show?

A) I don't think that it's quite as necessary, given that sending him away was so he'd be safe, and vampires are everywhere now, and it would also throw off any potential members who'd like to play him, but at the same time, given that he's not around, I think it could definitely work. Perhaps, again, if someone was willing to NPC him with Elena before sending him away?

A) Leviathan - I know that there's a plotting thread for that already, and progress is finally being made in that area. I still think that Castiel could potentially 'betray' Team Free Will by working with Crowley and then have to be forgiven, but that's dependent on getting a Cas. I think something about the leviathan getting into the AVL, for example, could be quite an interesting route to go - I don't know if they can possess vampires like they can humans since it's obviously not been explored in the show, but we know they like positions of power. And I've not discussed this idea with anyone because I literally just thought of it haha.


2) The Horseman hasn't been utilized in the NPC section. Any ideas about what could be done to use them in the SPN plot?

A) I don't know if there are any current plans for how Sam's going to be resouled, but Death could definitely be used for that.

A) I would love something to do with the Croatoan virus - maybe there's a small outbreak somewhere in the state that's contained by hunters, but it leads to freaking out and media panic, perhaps it could even be something that the Leviathan stage to tie everything in together while they're wreaking havoc? I don't know, but I love huge things like that, so. xD

A) I think it would be a good idea. There are a lot of fandoms here so getting them to plot together would be quite interesting. I’ve read about the valentine’s day thing and though it was amazing. Perhaps something in the line of throwing random characters together in different situations could be fun. I wouldn’t mind joining the committee but I don’t watch all the shows that are played here.

A) The site is lovely, and the wiki thing is so helpful. There is a lot of interesting things on it.

A) I’m all for NPC if they can help the story move along

A) I’m not sure if it has been done before and if it’s has sorry to mention it again. But perhaps we could bring the gentlemen from Hush again? I think it could be interesting to see how all different characters react to the lost of their voice.

A) I can’t think of anything at the moment.

2) The Horseman hasn't been utilized in the NPC section. Any ideas about what could be done to use them in the SPN plot?

A) perhaps, bring famine? I know that with the Eve plot most supenatural creature went mostly crazyish but later on we could have the human do something like that. Or perhaps bring War in and have people turn on each other?


3) Any other ideas/comments about the SPN fandom?

A) None sorry I have not watch the current season.

1) I still have the Authority committee going and no takers lol. It would help me a lot if I could have a committee of members to help plot for the Authority. You don't have to play a TB character to be in it but you have to have watched TB. If you have seen the show, would you be willing to help plot for The Authority? It would involve checking a committee board and brainstorming ways to 'command' the AVL for site plots as needed.

A) I wouldn’t mind helping out.

2) Any other ideas/comments about the TB fandom? I know we're still waiting til the summer until the next season starts but if you have any ideas to help draw players to pick up some of the canons that would be very helpful!

A) Advertising, advertising. Lol. I know boards like cautions only allows you to request I think it’s four charrie at a time but perhaps we could get a few members to request differents charries and bump them when they can? I don’t mind taking care of advertising for more members.

1) Given all the debates going on, staff has discussed an idea to create a 'plotting committee.' The purpose of this committee would be to thread stalk the entire board and brainstorm ways for characters to intermingle with other characters/fandoms outside of their own - then inform players of these opportunities. Do you think this will be helpful and if so, would you be willing to join this committee? If it won't be helpful, why?

A) Yes, I think it'd be very helpful, and it'll help people connect with more characters and explore different opportunities. Sure, I'd be willing to join


2) What are some things that the NI RPG is doing right? (As in, what stuff are you really liking, what is keeping you around, what would you like to see more of?)

A) I love all the people on this site, and I really do enjoy when we get big plots up on the board for big groups of people to join in. I know it's hard to incorporate big plots a lot, but those are pretty fun. Also the staff does a wonderful job in keeping things running smoothly.


3) Is there any thing that you feel would improve the site as a whole (please try not to repeat things already said in the suggestions/questions thread as well as other issues already discussed such as TSC, ICC, DoHTML, etc )?

A) Um, nothing really comes to mind... I think the site is going along great.

A) Unfortunately, I don't know much about TVD's plot as far as the show goes, I've only seen a few episodes, so I don't have any real opinion about this. If it seems like no one wants to take him up, then I think it's fine to kill him off.

A) Well, when we did have a Jeremy, I liked having him around... It provided someone new for the younger characters on the board to interact with.

A) Um... I think it could be interesting to use this as a later plot opportunity.

A) Ahh sorry, I haven't read the comics for Buffy... but I do feel like there's a lot of ideas from the show itself that we could use or tweak to our own liking. for example, when Bamfy was around, didn't we have an idea for the guys who steal everyone's voices?? (can't remember their official name... >> )

A) No real opinion here. It seems that people are more likely to make an OC instead of taking a canon, so adding more canons could be a waste of time.

A)I just want to take a second to thank Gavaldon/Fitch’s player for the initial idea! And yes, I think this is a very good idea. I think that there are a lot of people on the board that either a: don’t have the time or inclination to thread stalk, b: have trouble with working out details on plot hooks, c: get nervous about approaching other players, or d: tend to not be the one to make the first move in plotting in general – and all of them still want plotty goodness, and this might be a way to help ease some of those troubles.

I am happy to volunteer to be part of it. I think that perhaps it should be something that people can sign up their individual character’s into, to keep the people that don’t want to be overwhelmed by threads or don’t want to feel pressured, or want to be entirely self-regulated and have their own plan in mind don’t end up caught up in other stuff if they don’t want to be, etc. Perhaps it could be added to the claims section, with the other signups that members are required to fill out after they join, which could all be linked to in a base application reply code so that they can be immediately peeked at by new players who especially have trouble sometimes getting themselves worked in to put all their eagerness to good use.

2) What are some things that the NI RPG is doing right? (As in, what stuff are you really liking, what is keeping you around, what would you like to see more of?)

A) Well, there are a number of players here that I am fond of which helps, and there are a lot of the rp-ers on this site whose writing and interaction with them have inspired me to write more, and better, and to involve myself more fully on the site than I have been in a long time. The long reaching plots that I have in store for most of my people have me excited, as does the parts that everyone else has to play in them.

I’ve said it before, the integration of all of these shows into one place is a huge draw to me, and I am looking forward to seeing how things shape in the next couple of months.


3) Is there anything that you feel would improve the site as a whole (please try not to repeat things already said in the suggestions/questions thread as well as other issues already discussed such as TSC, ICC, DoHTML, etc )?

A) There’s not really any answer here that I can give here. It sounds really cheesy but I wish everybody could just get along – it’s supposed to be fun. I just want everyone to be happy!

4) Any other comments about the site that you want to say that the staff should know?

A) I love it here on NI. I love the plot potentials offered by all of the canons and originals and bad guys, and pretty much everybody I’ve talked with I’ve enjoyed chatting to and plotting with. I hope to see it continue to grow in terms of members and plot.

A) I didn’t know he was dead. Yay me. I say that should be weighted by those most involved, aka Caroline especially since that’s a personal involvement and she’s an active player with who knows what plans for him. =P I think NPC for plot purposes would be the best way to go?

A) Again, I think that’s something that the Elena and Bonnie and Alaric group should get to work out? NPC seems like a good solution to this and then could be taken off, like Bill, when sent away or whatever they decide to do with him?

• the Seed of Wonder – I am thinking, if we wanted to incorporate any aspect of this, it could be something that is under the active Hellmouth that could stir the Master into awakening and possibly, we could incorporate that into a site plot that would be something similar to the Eve situation but for the witches and magic users on the board? Pulses in power, or instabilities? Or insights, dreams, and such? It would require some tweaking, but I think that it definitely has potential especially as a tie in with the Hellmouth seals as that plot gets worked out / developed?
  
  
• Harmony’s Talk Show – Harmony Bites. Okay, so clearly this would need a Harmony to spearhead it orrrr, we could find someone else that might be willing to do something like this was; in the series she out-ed the vampires on her talk show and bumbled her way into trouble as usual, but if not Harmony’s version than maybe someone else, like Jessica Fox or someone else that might be used as an npc and possible little mini interviews of AVL figures or police or news casters or… whatever?

2) Should we NPC the comic "canons" that were added to the canon list the last time we had this survey? Especially since they haven't been taken?

A) I think that might not be a bad idea for those like James and the Witch at least – they are pretty powerful and somewhat unusual, and perhaps there could be a notation in their NPC forms that states that they could be potential full blown characters if someone is interested in picking them up in the future?
I have had a few thoughts on other canons for the Buffy and Angel show too of late;

• Bethany – Rabbit, the telekinetic would be assassin that Angel and Wesley helped escape from the evil clutches of Wolfram & Hart.
  
  
• NPC; the first Slayer – for dream and vision quest purposes – with all of the awakening of the thousands of Potentials, it would make a certain amount of sense that she would be stirred, especially with the stirring of all things ancient and demonic that happened lately with the Eve plot it could have drawn her spirit out.
  
  
• Vampire Yakuza – There was a cult of vampires (I can’t remember exactly which ethnicity or if they had a name for themselves – you’ll have to bear with me as I try and remember details of the comics, it’s been a few months since I’ve read them and my brain hates names.) who were a Japanese Mafia type organization; they had gambled some of Dracula’s tricks from him – the mist form and wolf form, off the top of my head – and were set about trying to find a way to undo the “Calling of the Potentials” spell that Willow cast that awakened all the Slayers. In the comics, they had a plan to steal the Scythe and use it as a focal point to undo the spell, making all of the Potentials human again – I think that (barring any sort of time travel or extreme stuffs that went on in the comics) they could make a very interesting group of opponents for the Slayers in particular and the fringes attached to them. Perhaps the leader, and a couple of them could be fleshed out briefly enough for a canon listing and the remainder of them could be lumped into an npc listing?
  
  
• Riley Finn – He left Sunnydale and Buffy and returned to try and (as best as I can recall and dig up) re-vamp (no pun intended) the Initiative and make it into something that was less… ‘evil overlord’ and more actual military like operation to help curb the monsters – this could be particularly handy given the out-of-the-coffin status and having anything that was government funded could have potentially lots of plot devices. Even if it was taken the privatized route, it could be interesting to work out, are they working for something like the Church of the Sun, or something like an older group, something like the Free Masons or something? There’s a lot of potential for how this could go. Point of reference here as well for Initiative planning.
  
  
• Sam Finn – (pb Ivana Milicevic). Riley’s wife, not much is mentioned about her, but could be interesting to see on the board especially if we get Riley and the Initiative in action.
  
  
• Graham Miller – a fellow Initiative member, the one that urged for Riley to be re-recruited and had a desire to work as part of the re-formed demon hunting group.
  
  
• Roger Wyndam-Pryce – He was a good antagonist and anti-hero for some of the personal interactions with the Angel group, but there were also rumors about the rebuilding of the ‘old-school’ style of Watcher’s Council which might prove interesting, in terms of seeing how they would deal with the overload of Slayer and try to cope with the vast conflicts between how things are being done versus how it was always meant to be; it could also offer an alternative to the slayers that don’t like working with Buffy, or want something more personalized, with the one on one Watcher vs Slayer principle that the ‘official’ Council proposes.
  
  
• NPC; the Master – If the plot suggestion below about the Seed of Wonder is considered in any degree, the Master could become an NPC used to stir up trouble around the Hellmouth in New York if we shift the location to the ‘active’ Hellmouth in New York instead of the (mostly) inactive one in Sunnydale.
  
  
• Anne Steele (Sister Sunshine, Chanterelle, Lily) – she is a recurring figure throughout Buffy and Angel, and with L.A. destroyed, I think that it’s pretty likely that she would have followed the surge to New York? Especially since she and Gunn had their talk the day that L.A. went to hell, and her desire to help where she is most needed. She also has a grudge of her own against WRH that could come into play.
  
  
• Potentials mentioned; perhaps a brief listing of other potentials that were mentioned in the show as a starting point? Caridad. Chao-Ahn. Leah. Rona. Rowena. Satsu. Shannon. Vi(Violet). Rogue; Simone Doffler.
  
  
• NPC; the Judge; Drusilla had restored him, but then the Scooby gang interfered and he got tossed to the four winds again – possible bad guy that could be returned.
  
  
• Whistler (possibly an NPC?) – another conduit of the PTB? (possibly redundant, but he was well liked and useful throughout the two shows).
  
  
• Willy the Snitch – could be a good canon or NPC for a demon type bar that was more inclined to the dark side, and he always proved a good squealer – aka source of underground info (side note, it could be the bar that the Broker is doing his business in! Silly me for not thinking of that sooner)…
  
  
• Dana – the crazy Slayer. Probably just for an NPC spot, given her nature, but it could be an interesting plot point to throw in at some point to see what has become of her with her care under the ‘new’ Watcher society and treatment and care?
  
  
• David Nabbit – a minor character, but an amusing one. The rich software developer with a taste for real life Dungeons & Dragons and a need for companionship that could easily be fit into the New York life.
  
  
• Doctor Sparrow – the doctor that worked for L.A. WRH and worked on upgrades and mental and physical implants, etc, their own version of Dr. Frankenstein; a follower of Illyria that fled before he could be killed, and held his own grudges against the AI team.
  
  
• Justine Cooper – her twin was killed by a vampire, sending her into a self destructive cycle that Holtz took advantage of to use her to help in the plans surrounding Connor, etc. She was held captive by Wesley during his isolation from AI and was released as soon as she aided in successfully recovering Angel.
  
  
• Nina Ash – werewolf that was helped and consequently saved and then offered protection by AI at WRH. She and Angel were romantically involved until he sent her away, in theory, for her own safety at the end of the show.
  
  
• Rutherford Sirk – an ex-member of the Watcher’s Council who worked for L.A. WRH branch as a translator and prophecies expert, and authentication expert, and so forth. He worked briefly with Eve and Lindsey
  
  
• NPC; Transuding Furies – the trio of witches / sirens / oracles that helped Lorne and others in the city with spells of protection, and had a particular fondness with Angel, implying a more intimate relationship between him and their trio. They spoke in tandem, finishing and starting each other’s sentences, and could be a potentially awesome resource for the good Wiccas of the area in finding out information, spells, setting up protective barriers and what not.
  
  
• Virginia Bryce – the daughter of a powerful Sorcerer, and intended to be a ritual sacrifice, she dated Wesley for some time before not being able to cope with the potential danger and death at every turn.

3) Any other ideas/comments about Buffy/Angel fandom?

A)

• ’Traditional’ Watcher’s Council. – relating to Roger Wyndam-Pryce, and the original way that the Watcher’s Council was organized and run, there were things in Angel that led to the suspicion that the Council was going to be getting up and running again, and that clearly that did not approve of the way that Wesley and Giles and Xander were handling things and wanted to stick to the more traditional methodologies and training methods, and encouraged more of a selective process for the Slayers and for the one on one ratio of Watchers and Slayers, and the more rigid training and such.
  
  
• ’New’ Watcher’s Council. – headed currently by Giles and Xander and dealing with the potentials all over the world there are branches everywhere, such as the one headed by Andrew, etc. that could be fleshed out a little and recruit other Watchers and do the helping and finding of Potentials and integrating them in, training sessions, filling them in on how things are supposed to go and the keeper and spreader of news and information and research etc. Could also possibly find a way to tie in with select recruits of the hunters or at least of the hunters ‘network’ and information gatherers and research team?
  
  
• Hellmouth – I think that ideas for the Hellmouth ‘seals’ could be a whole series of mini-plots for the board, particularly the groups that are familiar with some of the bad guys and way that Hellmouths work and have experience in fighting them. I do not have any specific recommendations for these seals except for the ghost plot here, but I think that a lot of the wandering bad guys npcs and mini plots could be worked into an overall ‘countdown’ towards the apocachicken of the Hellmouth. If anyone has specifics on this, I started something here to ruminate and brainstorm!.
  
  
• WRH.—Shameless plug here. Also, this is a bad guy organization with waayyyyyy far reaching hands and pockets and powers and plans, so seriously – anything and everything that they can be involved in, we so want to see them tangled up in, and they need more players and characters so we they can take over the world!
  
  
• Hell-A. – I think this could be another utilized tool from Angel & Angel comics --- It was the pivotal point of the Great Revelation but there hasn’t been much that I’ve seen at least in the way of follow-ups. L.A. is a demonic-infested, vampire-lurking, cesspool of badness, abandoned buildings, stragglers, and demon-lords with grudges to bear, and just… all kinds of Bad Things that could be used. There could be tie-ins here with Supernatural demons / cracks to Hell, cracks in time maybe? – hunter heaven – initiative base of operations, demonologists, religious nuts, vampire covens, all sorts of craziness that could be lurking here / spring up from here – and then there are, I think, some unanswered questions like, what is the government doing about it? Is it barricaded off? Is it cordoned off to protect people, or is it being described something like a natural disaster or an explosion or something like the Raccoon City / Umbrella Corps / Resident Evil cover-ups? I think that this could have a heavier role to play with a little tweaking and brainstorming from everyone maybe?

Just so you know, I am not 'ignoring' or forgetting the others, but I was running out of room and wanted to get up what I had.... I will post the others in a reply later tonight after I work on some posts!

A) I like the idea. With so many characters it is hard to keep up with what is going on outside the plots directly affecting your own character(s). Maybe the plotting committee could post suggestions on an open forum for feedback from all members. That way if others had ideas that could be of interest then it could be taken into consideration. As much as I would love to join the committee, I don't have extra time outside of my RL to stalk threads.

A) This isn't a big thing, just an observation based on previous experiences with other sites. With the monthly voting, maybe it could be better if people submitted their nominations to the admins via pm. Then the top vote receivers can be put in a poll where people can vote between the top 2 or 3 choices. I feel like this may bring in more involvement with the voting process. I have seen this used on other sites and it has worked great. The element of surprise could be refreshing. Just a suggestion. Other then that, nothing else.

A) I think Jeremy has something to offer plot-wise. He also could easily intermingle with characters from other fandoms. If there is no one to take him then I don't see why he couldn't be an NPC character until he's picked up.


3) The NPC ghosts - Vicki, Grams, Mason - seem to be underutilized/not utilized at all. Should we keep this in the plot for later opportunities or scrap the idea?

I say keep them around for now and re-evaluate at the end of the current season.

A) Sure, if there is a way they can fit into plots.

A) I know you said that you're working on finding a Buffy and Angel. Luckily I have been able to work out some different plots on my own with Dawn. But, it is hard to go for eight months without having a single thread with Dawn/Buffy. If the title characters to BTVS/Angel aren't filled, perhaps they could be NPCed so that plots can be advanced. Or if you find someone, you could have a trial period where they have to post so many posts a week to prove that they're active.

1) I still have the Authority committee going and no takers lol. It would help me a lot if I could have a committee of members to help plot for the Authority. You don't have to play a TB character to be in it but you have to have watched TB. If you have seen the show, would you be willing to help plot for The Authority? It would involve checking a committee board and brainstorming ways to 'command' the AVL for site plots as needed.

A) Sure, I don't mind helping.

SOME SITE WIDE STUFF TO DEAL WITH

1) Given all the debates going on, staff has discussed an idea to create a 'plotting committee.' The purpose of this committee would be to thread stalk the entire board and brainstorm ways for characters to intermingle with other characters/fandoms outside of their own - then inform players of these opportunities. Do you think this will be helpful and if so, would you be willing to join this committee? If it won't be helpful, why?

A) I think that this could be really awesome just as long as people are openly discussing it. I think that if there is a committee, it should be open for everyone to see. No one really wants to feel left out and this could open up that door. There’s already been instances where plans are made without really telling other people what they need to know and I think that’s where things cross the line from helpful and fun to annoying and frustrating. But, on that note, I would like helping out if this was an option. I just think that it should be something very open and inclusive. Especially if we want to keep people from feeling left out. Not to mention, if you’re discussing certain characters or plots, it’d be nice to shoot the people that are being discussed a line and keep them aware of what they might be interested in.


2) What are some things that the NI RPG is doing right? (As in, what stuff are you really liking, what is keeping you around, what would you like to see more of?)

A) Even though I had my complaints recently, I still see more right than I do wrong on the site. The members here are awesome and the staff too. I love how active it is and how easy it is to be involved in threads. I love the mix of characters and the friendliness of the site in general. There is a great group of people here and a lot of fun plots.

A) I think he should be NPCed for a while. I know Becca wants to do things with him and I’d really like it if he were around after Tyler gets turned into a hybrid. Since he was an important part of helping Tyler want to break that sire bond for Caroline. But, after he has a little bit of action in the plot as an NPC, I don’t see why he shouldn’t die the way he did in the show.

2) Should we send Jeremy Gilbert away, as done in the show?

A) I think having options on the canon list, even when they might not be taken right away isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And I realize that he doesn’t seem to be taken at all, but there is always a chance that he could be taken. At the same time, you could send him off if he’s not around and if somebody decides to join, they could always make up a reason for him to come back. That wouldn’t be so hard. So, really, I don’t have an opinion on what should be done here.

A) Maybe put them in the Hellmouth plot? I don’t really know here.

A) Personally, I’m really iffy about the comics. I’ve read most of them and while I liked them, they didn’t feel like the show to me. It was very surreal in a comic book sort of way. So, I can’t think of anything that I would want to see. But, I think people who are more involved with the Buffy/Angel fandom have a better opinion than I do. They could probably find ways to make it sound more ‘realistic’.

2) Should we NPC the comic "canons" that were added to the canon list the last time we had this survey? Especially since they haven't been taken?

A) I’d say NPC them unless somebody wants to take them. I’m not sure a lot of people know the comic canons, so they might have less of a chance of being taken.

A) I’d like to see more of it. We don’t hear much about AI really, and it’d be interesting to see what they’re doing and how they are working on the problems going around, I think it’d be cool to see them tied in more to other areas of the site.

A) Instead of Godstiel, I think that Crowley and Lucifer gunning for purgatory could work essentially the same. If Lucifer wants power and Crowley wants purgatory anyway, not to mention he wants to get rid of Luci too, the two could essentially have a similar dynamic to the Castiel vs Raphael plot of season 6, all while not destroying that that war is still going on. I think there could still be betrayal and interesting dynamics swimming around that plot. But, all we need is to open purgatory to get the leviathans out and I think that it would work out pretty well. Also if we get the leviathan plot underway I think that could tie SPN all over the place. The leviathans have a way of infiltrating everything. So, there could easily be a leviathan in the AVL, W&H and of course our buddy Dick is a pretty powerful figurehead. And I think leviathans could definitely affect fandoms across the board and really tie them into NI.

2) The Horseman hasn't been utilized in the NPC section. Any ideas about what could be done to use them in the SPN plot?

A) I imagine the horseman are pretty pissed about being defeated—aside from Death, of course, since he wasn’t defeated, nor on the same plane as his other counterparts. So, I think that they could be integrated either because of the apocalyptic nature of the site where the Buffy/Angel & SPN fandoms are concerned, or it could be a return once they have the strength and being upset over how things went over last time could go forth and pick up their jobs yet again. Of course, when we left three of them they were severely weakened and without their rings. There could be someone stupid crazy enough to want to unleash them back onto the world again. Having some pissed off horsemen could be fun, and I’ll hit each one.

Death – Death was always a little independent of the rest of the horseman. He doesn’t fall under the same rules and constructs really. He was older, stronger and he wasn’t interested in the apocalypse the way that they were. Plus, he’s still out, being Death, doing his job...etc. Specifically, Death can be used for Sam’s soul. We need to get that back in him and we can basically follow the same plot that SPN had when it involved Death. Dean is going to find out Sam’s soul is missing, so he could easily summon Death and he could come and screw with Dean and restore Sam’s soul. I don’t think now that he’s unbound to Lucifer that he would aid the apocalypse as much. Not like the rest of them.

War – I would like to see War utilized. In the show, he made people appear as demons to one another, but given the plot of NI, he could always do the same thing, only with vampires this time around. For those that fight vampires, he could turn them against each other, if they all happened to be in the same place. Or it could be on the outskirts somewhere and pull in a lot of people to help, only to turn against each other. And I realize there are a few problems with it being vampires that they see. But, the general idea is to set characters on each other, characters that are supposed to be close.

Famine – I don’t have much of an idea for famine. He was so easily angered, so I think that him coming back would be a terrifying sight. It might be interesting to see how different characters react to the spell he puts over them. An interesting play into what our characters are craving the most.

Pestilence – This combines a couple of ideas really. The first being that I would really like to see croatoan again. As far as someone that could help it be released again, I think he could easily be someone that would do it. Then, we could have a media frenzy and panic over the virus. Basically, that’s all I have for that.

I don't know how any of those would work in the long run, but I think they could absolutely be used some way on NI.

3) Any other ideas/comments about the SPN fandom?

A) URBAN LEGENDS. That’s all. I think we need those.

A) I have seen an informal version of this done on other boards before and I think it's a solid idea. I'd be willing to join this committee because I've always loved keeping up with plots and helping to brainstorm them, or brainstorm ways other people could get involved. I think it'll help to get a site-wide involvement going into member-created plots, which will only strengthen everyone's love for the board and the stories we write here.


2) What are some things that the NI RPG is doing right? (As in, what stuff are you really liking, what is keeping you around, what would you like to see more of?)

A) I think, aside from blending the shows together very well, the site does a wonderful job of playing out existing story lines in unique ways. The writers here are fantastic and those playing canon chars are spot on. It's an inspiration to be around such great RPers for once! And, also, the admin are some of the most helpful people around. I know if it weren't for Lian and Yols, I probably wouldn't have made it this far on the board!

A) I think that if we do have a plotting committee, it'd be helpful to give monthly rundowns of some of the plots taking place in one central location. It can be hard to keep up with everyone's plots, and if there's one place people can go to read up on small blurbs about what's happening in every corner, then people would know what could/could not be inadvertently impacting their characters. That's pretty much the only thing I've got though.

A) I agree with what other people have been saying here. Keep him around as an NPC, let Becca carry out her plots (or whoever else needs to carry out a plot with him), and then cross that bridge when you come to it. I think if those who have a plot with him decide it'd be in their best interest to kill him off at the end, by all means.

A) I agree with what a previous poster said about the need to send him away not being as strong since vampires are everywhere. Still, he's a pretty absent character right now (and from my understanding he has always been kind of absent). Maybe we can figure out some sort of story for why he's so MIA that the next Jeremy could pick up on and change up. It also would explain why he's been gone.

A)As big of a BTVS/Angel fan I am, I have never read the comics and I kinda don't intend to. So I'm not much help here.

A) To piggyback on what Martha (Dawn) said, I think the canon chars here need to hang out more! The Scoobies are so scattered these days. :\ Maybe if one isn't taken up, then they should be NPC'ed until they are. I'd like to see those relationships played out on the board again, especially Dawn and Buffy. From the last couple of months alone, Buffy's got a lot of catching up to do on what's going on in her sister's life!

Thanks guys for all the feedback. Just so you know the staff is working on some MAJOR changes, lots of exciting changes, thanks to some of you all's ideas.
