WHO? : Klaus, Nik
WHAT? : ambitiously trying to create a new set of hybrids
this could be my great awakening BUT HOW WOULD I KNOW?
PICTURE PERFECT : Klaus has this constant air of confidence-that-could-be-misconstrued-as-complete-arrogance about him, which stemmed from parts of his noble background and from being an absolute one-of-a-kind sort of guy. He very rarely lets go of this air, preferring it if people respect him from the off. He generally holds himself properly, standing tall and proud. Despite how closed off he tends to seem, he has a very expressive face and his eyes in particular give him away, although, he is definitely not as bad at lying as Stefan is. Compared to how he used to dress, modern day Klaus dresses relatively low key: he doesn't were bright colours, everything he wears is relatively simplistic in design and everything fits him just so (nothing too baggy, yet nothing too tight). He now realises that doesn't need to show himself off as much as he felt he used to, his presence pretty much speaking for itself, so he wears clothes to fit the main purpose of simply making sure he's dressed.
EYE COLOR : vivid blue-green/vibrant yellow (depends on form)
HEIGHT : 5'11” (although, depends on form)
WEIGHT/BODY TYPE : quite toned and more muscular now than he's ever been/very muscular and hairy (depends on form)

LIKES : human blood, alcohol, Stefan, travelling around, living well, generally having a good time, having his family incapacitated and shut away, being right
DISLIKES : Mikael, not being able to make his hybrids, Damon, being made to look stupid, people getting in his way, being told what to do, being lied to, being double crossed
GOALS : Klaus main goals revolve around the creation of hybrids. He is obsessed with perfecting a method of doing it in order to create a new wave of hybrids because he believes that you don't arm yourself when a war has been declared, you build you army so big that no one ever dares to make the fight.
SO, WHAT ARE YOU LIKE? : Klaus is a relatively manipulative and devious kind of character, shifting and deceiving his way throughout most of history without much of a hitch. When crossed, he has a pretty wicked temper, having a tendency to lash out more often than not when he's angry, unable to contain himself. What makes Klaus more dangerous than your average creature isn't that he's an Original and a hybrid, it's that he switched off his humanity so long ago that, sometimes, it's difficult to tell if he was ever 'one of the good guys'. A combination of blood and alcohol is always a good way to get him to calm down quickly, having maintained a taste for the finer things in life. He doesn't think he has actually changed much from his younger days, simply adapting to the times and modernising himself where he needed to, which is what most supernatural types seem to try to do, but that isn't even for the necessity of fitting in in the world, more the necessity to keep on living the life he so firmly covets.
The lifestyle has chosen to lead for so long would have a lot of people thinking that he's just a mindless predator, when, in actuality, he's a quite intelligent, well spoken individual. He's had a long time to learn a lot of things, ranging from some deep book smarts to average life lessons. This combination of intelligences has made Klaus a relatively cold, calculating person, trying not to let anyone into his private secrets and thoughts, not willing to trust that many people. When he does choose to trust someone, he has to completely trust them. When he actually feels things, which is difficult to discern from when he's putting on an act, it's to an intense degree (for example, the trust he has developed in Stefan, although, that stems from knowing him previously and having never had Stefan let him down before because he compelled him before he even had a chance to prove himself trustworthy). It's very difficult to establish the geniune Klaus from the visage he puts on.

WHAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU SO FAR? : Niklaus (NI Wiki); Niklaus (TVD Wiki) + born in Eastern Europe to his mother, Esther, and an unknown man of a different species + was the eldest of his siblings, although his six siblings were all only half siblings + was close to all of his family apart from his land wealthy step father + his stepfather killed his father and his family out of spite, igniting the age of werewolf/vampire feud + put under the Moonstone Curse once he had become a vampire and learned about his werewolf heritage + in 1492, he met Katerina and planned to use her to break his curse, but she stole his moonstone and ran off + Katerina was killed and turned into a vampire, so he killed the rest of his family in a rage and started obsessing over an alternative way to break his curse + started his own legend in order to find the means to break his curse quicker and easier + along the way, he neutralised the rest of his family and has them stored securely + met Stefan in the 1920s, but compelled him to forget him in order to protect himself and Rebekah + attempted to break his curse, but had to fall back on his back up plan, which he believes to have worked + during this time, Stefan jumped in before he could kill Damon and pleaded for him to spare his brother + agreed to spare Damon if Stefan were to join him and be a true ripper again, a decade long bender, Stefan eventually agreed + during the second attempt of breaking the curse, Bonnie tried to kill him using magic + it was Elijah that prevented Bonnie killing him after he promises to bring back the rest of the Originals + left with Stefan on a journey to test out how his hybrids could be made + travelled the country, inadvertently making a trail of victims where he attempted to create hybrids + becoming increasingly annoyed that none of his attempts have created a successful hybrids yet, though enjoying his current massacre binge with Stefan + when they reached Chicago, he made Stefan remember everything about the good old 1920s + has returned to New York in order to investigate why his attempts to make hybrids aren't working

Sitting up fulling and snapping his head back, eyes closed, gasping slightly, Klaus stifled a low, satisfied laugh, his lower jaw quivering slightly as he swallowed slowly and licked the blood from his lips. He opened his eyes before lowering his head, still gasping slightly as he turned to his comrade who seemed to be on either his third or fourth 'helping', eyeing the brunette that was practically clambering all over him. He smirked devilishly at the sight before turning his attention back to the practically drained, red headed beauty in his lap. He helped her sit up, a false comforting smile on his face as he held her gaze, pausing briefly to take in her face again, placing both hands so gently against her delicate jaw before twisting quickly and violently, snapping her neck and letting her drop onto the floor by his feet. Since the Revelation, most would think that getting fresh blood could go either way, that it would either be extremely difficult or extremely easy to get, but when you didn't care about how you got it, that didn't even become a factor.
He picked up the girl's scarf, which had remained in his lap even after he'd sat her up and dropped her like a ton of bricks, using it to wipe away the blood from his chin. He stood, letting the scarf flutter from his fingers to the floor, crossing to the bar and jumping swiftly over it, landing with a dull thud on top of the bartender which Stefan had been all the more eager to take out first, a smirk spreading across his features again. It hadn't been difficult to take this place for all it was worth. It had been practically dead when they had arrived, he and Stefan had just brought it to extinction. One thing that annoyed him more than the lack of actual blood was the lack of anything decent behind the bar. He stepped off of the body beneath his feet, eyeing the various bottles above the bar, ripping a nearly empty bottle of Jack Daniel's out of it's place. He flicked the contraption off of the top before gulping down the contents, washing down his last 'meal' completely before slamming the bottle down on the bar.
He let his tongue slowly play over his lips again as he truly appreciated the slight buzz of the alcohol in his system before focusing on Stefan again. Despite his day to day failures, Klaus hadn't failed to notice that it had little to no effect on Stefan's mood or appetite, but had near enough completely dwindled his own. He had grown to enjoy having Stefan around and forcing his mood on him had begun to seem less and less fair. He couldn't take out the failures on Stefan as he felt he had done in the very early days of their travels. Stefan remembered everything now, there's was just a big gap between their first friendship and this renewed one. Given half a chance, Klaus' mind would wander, like it was doing now, riddling over what it would have been like to have Stefan around since the 20s, what would have happened had he not compelled him to forget, but compelled him to go on the run with them. He scowled, closing his eyes and shaking his head, he was selfish, but he'd had his reasons to leave Stefan behind.
He found himself looking at the bottle he still had a firm grip on. There was nothing left in it and it had certainly been the only thing left worth taking in his opinion. He lifted his arm and flung the bottle against the opposite wall, watching with a faint glint of delight in his eyes as it smashed into thousands of tiny pieces, showering glass over the floor. Pressing both hands on the bar top, he vaulted himself easily over the bar. “You need to finish up, Ripper,” he began, calling to his friend in a slightly bored and blasé tone as he picked up his jacket from where it had been hanging from the leg of an upturned chair. He shrugged it on, his back to Stefan, beginning to brush it off meticulously before continuing. “We should be moving on,” he added in a somewhat lower, darker tone. He was getting bored of things not working out, he wanted his true attitude and appetite back. He would work out why and soon, even if he had to kill everything that got in his way.
