this could be my great awakening BUT HOW WOULD I KNOW?
PICTURE PERFECT : Pagan has the slim, athletic body of a young woman used to spending much time in the sun and surf. With tanned skin and toned muscles, shes light on her feet and constantly in motion. Long dark chocolate locks fall down about mid back but she often wears it up in a ponytail or braids because she hates it hanging in her eyes and blocking her vision. Clothing is usually demure but often times you can find her barefoot in worn jean shorts and a comfortably worn tshirt. When she does have to dress up, its simple and refined while being as elegant as possible. Shes just not a fussy person by nature but always classy and it shows through in her poise and style.

MY SKILLS: Pagan is a social bunny and loves being with people. Her work revolved around the ocean in California as a life guard but now she obtains that same interaction in nightclubs and bars. She loves the interaction and feeds on it while her family would like to just lock her in a padded room.

GOALS : Besides get out from under her adoptive families ever seeing eyes? She wants to become a photographer and become famous in New York, baby! She also likes to design clothing on the side even though its a little explored hobby. Someday, she'd like to show it off and maybe even have some of those fancy models wear them on the runway if she can't make a go of it in photography.
SO, WHAT ARE YOU LIKE? :Pagan is a hard one to nail down. To an outsider, she can seem cold and remote, especially when shes taking care of business. To those who know her though, thats just a shell she wears to protect herself from anymore hurt. Her mind still sees the night her family died and she will never rest until she kills every person responsible for it. When she is in a good mood, she can be playful and is always open for a dare but she pushes herself very hard. She feels like she has to be better than the boys and she never lets herself rest. For her, she constantly sees fault in her actions and she never gives up until shes done what she set out to do.
The flip side of this is that she does have a very feminine side that she hides away. She dreams of someday meeting someone that can make her feel alive and not just some sort of machine. She secretly loves to get dressed up in sexy clothing and watchs sappy movies like "Pretty Woman" and "When In Rome". Afraid that everyone would laugh at her if they knew this, she keeps it hidden except from her close close friends.

WHAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU SO FAR?: Born the only daughter of Spade and Teresa Macaffery, Pagan was taught at an early age how to control her shifting abilities. Because she was the only girl born to the pride, she was loved, adored and fully pampered even as she was gently brought into the deep waters she would have to someday navigate as the matriarch of her bloodlines.
As one of the premier leaders of the Chicagoland shifters, her family moved in some of the highest circles. They were a beautiful, graceful family and drew notice where ever they went so it was important that she learned from birth how to control her "furry" side. Her parents were diligent about keeping her out of the limelight until she was capable of controlling her powers and there are very few pictures of her infant years because of this.
After all, it wouldn't do to have their young daughter turn into a playful cub in the middle of a business dinner now would it?
Because of this, the young girl learned quick about the dangers of their lives and the opportunities it presented them with. The family had their enemies and there was always danger of exposure so security measures were always intense and she knew how to handle weapons almost before she could read full sentences.
Unfortunately, none of that helped one fateful December night during her sixteenth year.
During an annual holiday ball that her family gave, masked men busted in through their security and gunned down all of her family. In a move so shocking that it was later determined that someone had to have been helping from the inside, they deliberately went through the faces and killed anyone known or suspected of being related to the Macaffery clan.
As the blood spread over the pristine floor of the families huge ballroom, the masked men retreated from the house to disappear into the night. An explosion rocked the house shortly thereafter and the surviving guests ran screaming from the mansion even as the evidence of any betrayal was lost.
Only, the bad guys missed one.
From the darkest depths of her families garden, Pagan Elaina Macaffery stood in her boyfriend's arms and watched as her world crumbled. Held back against her wishes, she was forced to listen to the shots ring through her childhood home and then witness the explosion that destroyed everything she held dear.
It was purely by the grace of teenage hormones and a young couples need for a private corner that neither of them were in the house.
With wisdom born of instinct, Jaden Monroe pulled her from the garden and secreted her away to California. With his families agreement, her survival was kept a secret and she was adopted into their own clan as evidence of treachery began to mount. An autopsy on her families bodies showed that they were not shot with regular ammo but modified bullets containing liquid silver. Her family had never had a chance and the killers were still at large.
As the death toll mounted in the massacre, the threat to Pagan's very life mounted too. All bodies were accounted for in the final tally except for three. One was hers, one was a cousin and one was a brother. However, when none of those came forward, it became assumed that they were missed in the rubble or so badly mangled that it was impossible to find any piece.
And so the years passed with Pagan in the shelter of the Monroe clan. Someday she plans to find her families killers but its a waiting game.

What was a girl to do on a Saturday night when she couldn't hit the beach and she strangely had the night off? That is, what was a girl like Pagan to do when she managed to slip under the radar of her protective “family” and sneak out into the softly falling California rain to have some alone time? She went to the movies of course!
Standing outside under the awning, the pretty young brunette gave covert looks behind her as she waited impatiently for the line to move. Luckily, it was a short line due to the unusual rain so she was soon to the window and handing her cash over. Once she was inside the theater, she was able to breath a sigh of relief because she'd evidently managed to sneak away without anyone knowing where she'd gone. It was a true blessing in disguise for a girl like her who was accustomed to someone always hovering.
With her litter of “adopted” male siblings, getting a breather was like an act of god and she revealed in every moment even knowing she was going to pay for it when she got home. The lectures she would no doubt get would last for hours on end and then she'd be forced to put up with extra “guards” for the next millennium.
However, none of that bothered her as she headed for the quiet, cool theater and found a seat about mid way up. Having no clue what she'd actually bought a ticket for, she glanced down at the little slip in her hand and frowned. With her excellent vision due to her cat heritage, she made out the word “Dead” but it had been ripped in half so she had no clue what the ending was. Unfortunately, that word alone was enough to give her an idea of the sort of film she was about to see and it made her groan. Just her luck. She finally managed to sneak away from all the males in her house only to end up at a movie that they themselves would have taken her to see had she told them she wanted to go out. Damn it, Karma was a real bitch at times.
Sighing in resignation, Pagan slumped down in her seat and felt the vibration of her cell against her jean shorts pocket. Pulling it out, she saw the text message of “WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?” and grinned. Quickly texting Jaden back with “I'm fine. Just needed some air to breath”, she then turned it off and tucked it back into her pocket. She'd long ago taken the GPS tracker out of her phone so she knew they wouldn't be able to find her until she wanted to be found.

Just then, the lights began to dim and the previews rolled. Settling back into her seat, she ate chomped at her popcorn and was only half aware when someone slid into a seat a few pads down.
