Award Voting - for July 2012

JULY 2012 Award Voting

Put down the chips, Caroline! It's voting time!

If you can, please vote for every category though if you absolutely
cannot think of anything, you can skip them.

Voting ends June 30th. Each first place winner will get a small
banner to put in their signature and their picture will be up in the
welcome table. That means those who have banners now will lose
theirs when the winners are announced but don't worry, all award
graphics will be kept in a thread located in this section.

Also, when you go ahead and do your voting, we would love it if
you give us a reason for why you're voting for them. Thanks!
And make sure not to just vote for the same person over and over
again, and especially not yourself You can also give people
"honorable mentions" if you simply just can't pick only 2 people for
a category. Just mention them and although they won't be counted
in voting, you can still give them props!

Another little thing to keep in mind is that our votes are weighted.
This means that when we tally them, for each category, who you vote
as for first place gets two points tallied, and who you vote as for
second place gets one pointed tallied. That's just a little tidbit to
keep in mind when you're doing your votes

Note that for pairing it doesn't have to be all romantic, it can simply
be a duo or tag team.

Firstly, I am still working on getting to thread with all of you so my votes will be slightly biased. While I have lurked around in some of your threads when I'm bored, I haven't been able to nearly as much as I should, so I apologize if anyone feels left out, or like I am only voting for the same handful of people, but I don't have much to go on yet!

AND THANK YOU FOR VOTING FOR ME LAST MONTH! I was extremely happy to receive Male of the Month and it truly is an honor after only being a member since the beginning of May. SO..... err... on with the voting!

Female of the Month:
1. Iofiel - Chrissi is not only an active, experienced player but a kickass staff member who never seems bothered by my pestering >.<. I enjoy playing with her a great deal, she always gets CasMuse thinking! And Iofiel is just off the wall enough to get Future!Cas in gear, love it.
2. Evelyn We tend to thread a bit slower and I love the posts the both of us have done so far. At first it was a little overwhelming trying to fill another Cas' shoes, but kmy/evey is one of the first people I roleplayed with and it's excellent!
Honorable Mention: Jo Harvelle - When I am grinding my gears [and muse] trying to come up with content for posts Jo comes through with a long enough post to get them going again. And we Cas loves.

Male of the Month:
1. Dean Winchester - Well, Dean is really the only male I have threaded with besides Mikael. The thread we've got going with Iofiel is great and with all the drug indiced Angel type mayhem Cyn always keeps him IC, something I tend to struggle with at times. Sometimes I can hear Dean/Cyn's dialogue in my mind with Jensen's voice. Creepy, I know, but awesome!
2. Mikael - Aside from Dean Mikael is the only male I have threaded with. At first it was a bit hard to jump in where the other Cas left off, but Mikael's replies kept me on my toes and typing away!

Member of the Month:
1. Kmy - Firstly, I love you kmy. But that is not why I am voting for you. After plotting with you I can see how devoted you are to not only your characters but the board itself. I really enjoy threading with you and coming up with backstory, it always helps to have a side-muse XD
2. Chrissi - I haven't known you very long woman, but I also love you! Not only do Cas and Iofiel bounce HAHAHA off of each other perfectly, I love the fact that you are willing to hear my ideas on things and work together with me to create a raunchy, amazing back story for our characters. You are lurking as often as I am all the time and I feel as we've gotten along from the get go. You answer my questions without being snide, you make me beautiful feels and fanart, and if I wasn't married you'd be having my illegitimate baby.

Female of the Month:
1. Danika Pierce - Well aside from being a terrific charrie to begin with, she is also the only vampire Mik has sort of warmed up to.
2. Whiskey Kings - I do like the dinamic she has with Mik as a sort of "Uncle and Niece" sort of thing which I think has given me more room to manuever. In terms of RPing. And so Whiskey this ones for you..

Male of the Month:
1. Crowley - Chrissi just knows this character everytime I see a thread with Crowley in it I know that it is going to be interesting.
2. Dean Winchester - He is really very well played and to be honest I am actually looking forward to threading with him sometime down the road.

Pairing of the Month:
1. Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle - It seems that these two were a match made in some pool hall after one too many drinks. I do love how well they play off one another and I look forward to seeing more threads with them in it.

Thread of the Month:
1. Totally Normal - Aside from being one of the most interesting reaction posts so far. It is also shows a different side of each character.
2. Evil Angel - Any thread with Lucifer is a must see and the way each character plays so well against one another..Well this one is truly worth a look.

Member of the Month:
1. Kmy - Well this should go without saying Kmy has demonstrated her versatility as a writer and a seasoned RPer. And I firmly believe that she has more than deserved this vote.
2. The Staff - Yes once again the staff get my vote thanks so much for a job well done!

Female of the Month:
1. Elena Gilbert - Gosh, the poor thing. So much shit happens to Elena and it sucks without any doubt, but Mel does a fantastic job when it comes to stick to character with 'Lena, and always is willing to go along with some of the crazy ass thing she's thrown into.
2. Sage Leighton - Alice is just all kinds of amazing, and Sage is without a doubt completely adorable and I just want to give the girl a big bear hug. <3

Male of the Month:
1. Nick Cutler - I know I'm not very familiar with his canon, but from what I can tell, he's an awesome player! He's also extremely active and I feel like I always see his name somewhere or another, and he's just a great addition to the site.
2. Dean Winchester - Everyone kind of knows that Cyn is all kinds of kick ass and perfect with Dean. She's always super active and willing to thread with everyone, and I just adore her portrayal with Dean.

Pairing of the Month:
1. Jo & Dean - Apocalyptic reasons. *cough*
2. Evelyn & Castiel - I don't know if anyone else is stalking this thread, but I am, and I find it to be deeply amusing. They're interaction with each other is definitely funny, and I'm curious to see where it might go.

Thread of the Month:
1. there's always a choice (Damon & Rose) - JFC, have you read this thread? It just gives me a lot of feelings and I love those two so much and it's just so perfect that I could die.
2. the question (Ella & Lucas) - It's in the past and stuff, but it just gives me so many feeeels for them and I just ship them so hard and I wish everything could just be perfect for them and it's so cute and perfect and yeah.

Member of the Month:
1. Becca - She already knows that I adore her and I've handwritten her a page why, but I'm going to summarize here. Becca's always been a great and active member, and she's been sick lately but still stayed very on top of threads, and is always so willing to thread with everyone. I just love her to pieces.
2. Adam - Awesome awesome dude. All of his characters are awesome and well-played, and he's very balanced with his activity and willing to plot with others. Also, he's hilarious in the gif game. He definitely deserves some recognition.

Female of the Month:
1. Rhiannon Castleton - A red haired vixen if ever there was one, she knows what she likes and she knows how to get it. There's also the fact that there seems to be a layer of mystery with Rhi because of her keeping her real age a secret and why she retired from the old ones so early on in her undead life. Oh yes I'll be following Rhi's story closely!
2. Iofiel -I know I have voted this badass angel in the past, but the more I read her threads the more I want to know about this character. Also the GIF game with her is just all kinds of BAMF.

Male of the Month:
1. Nick Cutler - The character was all kinds of fun in the BH series 4, and the player has done an awesome job in portraying Nick here on NI. All of the character mannerisms and characteristics are all just spot on, and I just want to see what random thing Nick might do next.
2. Hadrian - I know our characters hadn't had a reason to thread yet, and someday I hope that changes because this character is just intriguing on so many levels. Plus his play by has played a roman solider before, and not like the overdone dramatic type you might find in a certain block buster movie *Cough*Gladiator*Cough*

Member of the Month:
1. Chrissi - Chrissi is just like her sister, she is an awesome person to plot with and just chat in general. Her characters are all brilliantly played and just want you to come back for more when you're either threading with them or just reading them. Also Chrissi has a sense of humour that just makes me smile every time.
2. All of the Staff - Every single player, with every single character makes this site a fun and active place to be. But every member of the Staff work there hardest to make sure everyone is taken care of and is made to feel welcome. They are unlike any staff I have come across before and they just are all kinds of BAMF just like the community and everything else that make this site a great place to be.

((I know it's becoming a bit of a regular thing, and next time I promise to vote for them. But once again I don't really have any ideas for pairing or thread of the month. So I'm gonna leave them out for now and maybe try and get nominations in before the deadline.))

Female of the Month:
1. Charrie - Dawn Summers: I've read some posts and am in one currently with her and I love how Martha has developed her. Character development is my big love.
2. Charrie - Willow Rosenburg: Excellent portrayal and I love how Willow is set in 2014.

Male of the Month:
1. Charrie - Dean Winchester: Excellent portrayal!
2. Charrie - Klaus: I enjoy reading the threads he is in and from only seeing up to season 2,maybe 3 onnetflix, I like the way Chess plays him and I want to thread at some point with Buffy and him [:

Thread of the Month:
1. Thread Title - Evil Angel: Cyn does Lucifer a little too well o_o This thread is on my Stalk List.
2. Thread Title - what doesn't kill you: it's just an awesome read in all, everyone portrays their characters well!

Member of the Month:
1. Member - Cyn: She always is on top of posts. Always.
2. Member - Becca: She is just like Cyn in that there is always a Becca post when you sign on in the morning.

Female of the Month:
1. Sage Leighton - I don't know what it is, but I absolutely adore Sage. Maybe it's a fox thing - despite how they're regarded where I live, I think foxes are amazing. Sage is such a cute little character. I can't wait to see what happens for her in the future.
2. Arabelle Wood - I've always found Arabelle to be a great character. It's unfortunate for someone like her to be turned into something she hates, but she responded to it rather well considering how things could have gone for her.

Male of the Month:
1. Nick Cutler - My second favourite BH character (second to George, of course) of all time. He's played so well and it's great to see what Dharke is doing with him around here. I'm looking forward to more from this guy.
2. Crowley - Easily in my top five favourite SPN characters. It's really difficult to rank those guys. Crowley has always been a fascinating character to me and to see him played consistently well is marvellous.

Pairing of the Month:
1. Iofiel && Castiel - So, this is the start of a whole series of things voted for because of the apocalypse. I just love reading how different people are taking to that whole scenario.
2. Buffy Summers && Willow Rosenberg - This is mostly down to apoca!Buffy/Willow. Despite how broken everything is around them, they seem to be able to function somewhat.

Thread of the Month:
1. There's Always A Choice (Damon Salvatore && Rose) - Damon having an atypical Damon reaction to Rose's ghost. He's not the only one being hit with ghosts, it's just entertaining to see how he tries to take it all in his stride.
2. All We Can Do Is Keep Breathing (Iofiel && Lisette Curtis) - More apocalypse stuff. It's good to see everyone's taken such an interest in the plot. It's just an example of people being forced together and getting stuff done for the sake of sanity.

Member of the Month:
1. Adam - It seems it's character switcheroo time for Adam, but I think he's more than capable of changing things up a gear for himself - Eric and Willow are still as great as ever. Keep it up!
2. Chrissi - She's got so much going on, it's a wonder she still has time for posts. Oh, and the graphics that keep popping out of nowhere too XD

Female of the Month:
1. Meredith Fell - Mandy #2 has just joined and is already zipping around being active and I have no idea if anyone's stalked her yet, but she's absolutely incredible with capturing Mere. Truly ingenious and I couldn't be happier that she decided to join NI, I really couldn't! <3
2. Alicia Beckham - Brand new and already on the ball! I'm looking forward to seeing her thread with Klaus, she's so active already; great show for enthusiasm, I really love to see it. (: kudos!

Gonna throw Bela Talbot on here as welllllllll. She's a flawless bitch. xD

Male of the Month:
1. Klaus Mikaelson - Chess is the only person ever who has succeeded in making me like Klaus. ... I don't know if you understand the enormity of this fact. But it is HUGE. Chess plays him perfectly, showing humanity in all the right places and to the perfect degree, while maintaining that epic villainy that we love about this dastardly fellow so much. Chess is simply incredible!
2. Tyler Lockwood - Much of the same as stated above should go here. I'm not a fan of Tyler, guys, but when reading Cyn's posts and seeing stuff through the poor kid's eyes, it's hard not to let him grow on you. Cyn's always been masterful with characters and I just wanted to take the opportunity to recognize Tyler, that moody teen, hehe :3

... I was gonna not do it but... I NEED TO MENTION MY MALE BOO. Damon Salvatore. There, I did it.

Pairing of the Month:
1. Buffy Summers & Willow Rosenberg - Was there ever a galmance so epic as this?

Exactly, Ric. Eeeexactly. These two have a friendship that's beautiful and I'm so happy to have it here on NI.
2. Damon Salvatore & Elena Gilbert - siludUKDSFDksfds my Delena feeeeels. Yols and Mel. STOP IT. But actually please continue. That is all.

Thread of the Month:
1. Blood, Death & Babysitting (Emery Matthews & Everleigh Mason) - Two awesome, top-notch original characters written by two very talented people put in the same thread? You got it, stalk-able.
2. To Our Advantage (Kyle Crowley & Bela Talbot) - It's juuust starting but it's so easy to sense the epic. Bela + WRH (Kyle, of all people) = ;-; yes. ... the end.

Member of the Month:
1. Adam - Adam is always trying to cheer people up. And he is so, so, so admired for it. Willric, I love youuu <3 You're such a crazy awesome writer and Willow is too cute for words! Can't wait to stalk more of your threads!
2. Mel - Guys, Mel's great, okay? I'm not sure what else to say. She's my adorable little Lena cub and Papa Ric loves her and I love her and there is a lot of feels and love and cheesy mushy family coziness when we write together and I couldn't ask for more from an Elena because... I love Ric's family man side and Elena and Alaric's relationship on the show was so prominent because she was so inspiring to him, always bringing out a healthier side of him (ironically enough.) I'm so glad we have such an amazing Elena on NI, I just am. <3

And I'm just gonna mention Chess as well because I NEED to. Anyone else noticed how she plays basically everyone flawlessly? Merci and Rhi are her own, so of course they're perfect, but the canons, too. I've never watched BH, but George is epic. Klaus = ksakdfhas. And then John Gilbert and Isobel, it's like, my jaw just drops in awe of this girl! Chess is ridiculously talented! <333

Female of the Month:
1. Elena Glibert - So, I just finished season 3 of TVD, and holy crap, this girl goes through so much!! And Mel just writes her so awesomely, I can picture Elena doing everything she does.
2. Willow - I love what Adam has done with Willow, especially in the apocalypse world! She is wonderfully written and so adorable :3

Male of the Month:
1. Klaus - Gah i just luff Klaus!! And Chess does such a fabulous job with him! Needless to say, awesome character, I love stalking his threads.
2. Castiel - haha oh gosh, I think castiel rocks! He's played very well, and I always enjoy reading through his threads. ^^

Pairing of the Month:
1. Jo/Dean - I am also doing this because of apocalypse threads, but ZOMG can you blame me?! Total epicness :_:
2. Arabelle/Klaus - I don't know why I find these two amusing. I just do. >>

Thread of the Month:
1. There's always a choice (Damon/Rose) - There are a lot of feels here, and I thought Rose was great, so it's nice to see these two interact again :3
2. Evil Angel (Giles, Lucifer, Elysia) - This thread is oh-so-stalkable!! Cyn does such a great job with Lucifer! As everyone has pointed out, maybe a little tooooo well... >>..... << haha Great thread, great characters and writers!!

1. Kmy - Kmy is so cute, I luff her! Her characters are very well written :3
2. Becca - Holy post demon!! In a great way of course ^^ she's always very quick with replies, and the replies are awesome!

Female of the Month:
1. Elena Gilbert - Okay this sounds really biased on my part, I know, but it's completely honest here - Mel plays an amazing Elena. Its just so much fun playing opposite her with damon. She is completely and totally devoted to her character and it shows.
2. Sage Leighton - there are certain choices made with this character - in the writing of her posts - that are subtle yet very fascinating to me. Something about the nuances makes Sage my favorite character of Alice's.

Honorable mentions: Bonnie Bennett (so on point and true to the characterization), Meredith Fell (for diving right into posting and being so active already!), Arabelle Wood (her transformation into a vampire was...wow.)

Male of the Month:
1. Nick Cutler - I had to vote for Cutler Nick Culter. From day one, RPing of this character has impressed me. Just dead on.
2. Hadrian - Kelsey has been with us for a long time as Hadrian and its just great to see this character getting out there more because - as I've seen recently, Hadrian is just awesome.

Honorable mentions: Klaus Mikaelson (because chess is scary good at capturing this character), Samael (obviously my male boo is great - but this month sarah has shown how truly psychotic she can be with samael ), Castiel (you're great this month too)

Pairing of the Month:
1. Iofiel and Castiel - i'm just going to reference the "people change like seasons" thread - which is epic btw.
2. Rebekah and Stefan - this relationship is so so so wrong but its so awesome to see this fleshed out on NI.


Thread of the Month:
1. people change like seasons and we are no exception (iofel, castiel, and dean) - I'm not going to lie, it fascinates me and impresses me that this group of talented RPers can come together - make quality post after quality post - feed off of each other so well - and keep the pace consistent in on thread. its just so great to see play out.
2. Memories that keep you here (stefan and elena...and damon) - okay blame my TVD bias and muse lately, and teeechnically I'm not in this thread except for about 2 posts. Everything else is just awesome no-holds-barred stelena angst.


Member of the Month:
1. Adam - There are so many reasons. Not only is he great with Eric Northman, Willow, and Alex - but very active and friendly to everyone. Not to mention, he's fun to RP with!
2. Danny - Yep, I'm nominating two of our guys here - because they truly are GREAT guys!! Danny is just a class act, amazing with all of his characters, and just an ease to talk to.

Honorable mentions: outside of pretty much everyone...i will mention chrissi, who has devoted a lot of time to the SPN fandom on here. Sarah, because of her bamfness and general awesome cbox swag (do not ask lol), kelsey, chess, castiel, mel, buffy - too many people!
