"That will be fine thank you”
Giles offered the blonde young woman a rather tight smile, feeling somewhat grateful for the fact that the transaction had been sealed and, soon enough, Miss Hart would be out of the book shop, giving him the time to try and understand what he dealt with, what gave him such a negative vibe concerning her. Another similar smile was offered to the young woman when she stated that she would be returning within three days to pick up the mystical item. Of course, only assuming he would not arrive to a definite conclusion that she was someone who should be kept from entering the book shop for a second time. Should that happen, then Giles was going to come up with a very convincing lie concerning his inability to deliver the artifact, then contact her and hope that she would not question whatever excuse he had come up with. Well, he was certainly running ahead of himself, wasn't he? ”Perhaps you should wait for the call confirming that the item is in stock before returning to the shop”, Giles suggested. ”I know how precious time can be and it would be a pity if there was a delay and you came all the way for nothing.”
A pitiful attempt to earn his time? Yes, that was exactly what it was. As long as she didn't read through it, the head Watcher thought he should be fine. ”Is there anything else I could interest you in?”, he questioned, waiting a couple moments before coming out from behind the counter, ready to walk Felix Hart towards the door in the (fortunate) event in which her answer was a “no”. ”It was a pleasure doing business with you”, the head Watcher added, like he did every time he was dealing with one of the clients who bought more than a book or incense. Whatever she was, if she could sense lies, then Giles knew that he would be in great trouble. Since she maintained a somewhat civil attitude towards him, however, the head Watcher suspected Felix lacked the ability. Lord, was he anxious to go into his office and try to find out whether any of his contacts dealt with a woman with this name or this appearance before. It irritated him to feel so convinced that he should be cautious yet to be completely in the dark about the reason why he felt that way. The instant Felix was out the door, Giles called one of the girls to take care of the shop and he headed for his office, beginning to brew some fine tea for him to savour while he tried to untangle the mystery concerning the young woman.
