WHO? : Dru, Princess, Dearest, Pet (only for Spike)
WHAT? : Madness incarnate
this could be my great awakening
BUT HOW WOULD I KNOW?
PICTURE PERFECT : Drusilla tends to favor extremes in everything including her clothes. She'll look like an innocent angel in one moment and a sultry seductress in the next. She's almost always wearing dresses however, whether they are flowy and loose or skin tight. She prefers to have her arms bare but will sometimes throw a shrug or wrap over her shoulders for the sake of accessorizing. Her hair is usually down and in some type of soft curl flowing over her shoulders. She keeps her nails in perfect condition most commonly in some form of french manicure, however with either a black or deep red base for the white at the tips.
Her posture is always perfect and even after all these years Dru can't help but move like an elegent lady in flowing gowns. Her physical appearance is usually the first thing that gets everyones attention, with her perfect dark princess clothing and her graceful yet deadly motion. There is something oddly innocent and threatening at the same time in the way she moves. There is something in the way that she will reattract any attention that has wavered off of her by suddenly saying something unexpectedly violent or sexual that has left many people wondering if her behavior is unintentional or not. The bottom line is that whenever Drusilla is in the room everyone would be hard pressed to ignore her completely.
110/ tall and slender :
it's all noise to me
ARE THESE WORDS FALLING ON DEAF EARS?
POWERS & LIMITATIONS: Drusilla is gifted with the sight. She has clairvoyance, telepathy (in receiving vaguely), and the ability to read people. She has the power to see events that are yet to happen, and sometimes ones that already have. With some focus on her part she can usually clarify a vision that she's having but they usually come unbidden and take their own course with her. Her sight doesn't just come in the form of visions however, as she has been known to "hear" power, to "smell" fear, and to "feel" the trouble in the air before it comes.
Dru also has the ability to hypnotise people. She simply has to draw them into her gaze and from there she can pull them into her control. She's never really tested the limits of this power, preferring to use it to distract someone or to make them see what it is that their "heart" wants.
MY SKILLS: She was taught to dance when dancing abilities were rated one of the surest signs of good breeding and station. She's graceful and adaptable, switching from one style and era of dance to another with the simplest of ease.
While her precognitive abilities helps in reading the Tarot cards, there is still a skill involved in how to lay out the cards. Drusilla has been honing her skills to perfection according to the type of reading and the information thats being sought.
Her unnatural ability to read people has given her a substantial aid in social gatherings of the underworld. She's well known for her parties and how surprisingly smoothly they turn out. She's well aware of whom to invite and who would mingle best with who. All mostly without her conscious thought of course.
WEAKNESSES: She's easily confused and distracted by her own visions and perceptions. She rarely goes anywhere on her own so it doesn't usually present a problem. She's also known for snapping instantly back into awareness of what's going on around her without warning.
Dru has a very strong sense of family. Meaning of course her immortal family. It leaves her more susceptable to their suggestion and influence than would be normal. She will simply fall into step beside them or follow along with their plan unless something else catches her attention.
Drusilla is not very good at coping. If something is going against plan or isn't working out the way she wants then she becomes frantic and extremely confused. It doesn't have to be anything major going wrong however, and her resulting actions become more violent and erratic until someone presents a possible fix for whatever is amiss.
Her lack of connection with reality has left her a touch unable to judge her reactions appropriately. She would be just as likely to rip the eyes out of a store clerk for not being able to find the new shoes she wants, as she would be to laugh and walk away barefoot. Her erraticism makes her dangerous but it works against her more often than not since she has trouble keeping loyal cronies.
LIKES: Little china dolls. So pretty and delicate, like breakable little angels.
Dru has a special fondness for animals and flowers. Not such a strong fondness for them that she remembers to take care of them however. Her dismay at finding them dead is only topped by her confusion by it.
A well thought gift is something that brings a childlike glee to Drusilla's dark days. And with Dru it really is the thought that counts. Whether it be a still warm heart or the dismembered parts of The Judge, either way as long as it's for her then she'll love it.
DISLIKES : Old People; they're too tough, and get stuck in my teeth.
Churches will always hold a special place of horror and dislike in Drusilla's heart, even if she can't quite remember why. The horrors that she experienced through Angel's hands in the supposedly hallowed halls of first the churches and then the abbey have left her with an instinctive feeling of fear and dread surrounding them.
Dru doesn't like to be ignored. Not being in the center of attention is one thing but people not acknowledging her is something entirely unforgivable.
GOALS : (One of the driving forces in Dru's life is the idea of getting her family back together. Whether or not she's actively pursuing this particular goal or not depends on what else has gotten her attention lately. She's easily distracted into another plot of global destruction, kill the slayer, or simply taking a vacation. When she does have the chance however she does desire to have her family back to the way it was. Sometimes she recognizes that it won't ever be back that way with Darla dead, but sometimes Darla's death just seems to her to be another hurtle wich must be burnt to the ground.
Even though she may seem like nothing more than a random and dangerous creature, there is a method behind her madness that even she's not aware of. The undercurrent of Dru's seemingly disconnected series of endeavors is chaos. Sewing discord into the world and leaving a trail of devastation in her wake weaves its way through her history since she was made a vampire.
SO, WHAT ARE YOU LIKE? : I am a fairy tale princess from a dark and stormy night. And I am very good at throwing parties."
Dru's world is fractured by the constant bombardment from the visions and senses that she receives. The world can be a strange and confusing place to Drusilla, a place where things that make sense one minute do not the next. To cope with this Drusilla's needs and desires are very basic. She is tempermental and prone to fits and moodswings. Of course they're not really moodswings when your entire world changes from one moment to the next.
She can at times be a wistful dreamer even when dreaming of chaos and bloodshed. She lives in a state where everything is like a waking dream. Her graceful moves and lilting voice are oddly incongrous with the violent and often confusing words that come out of her mouth. Her own fitful connection with reality often shows in her unusual cadence and her disjointed mannerisms. It makes her a difficult person to talk to but if one pays enough attention and can decode her ramblings they usually find the most interesting things hidden away in them.
Her violence is undetered by the usual trappings of conventional thought, making the idea of plucking out someone's eyeballs or tearing out their throat both perfectly plausable outcomes. Her violence comes and goes much in the same way that her visions do. Suddenly and with very little warning. Once again those who pay close enough attention can notice the signs of impending destruction and can even occasionally head it off by distracting her in a very Dru specific way
realize that they no longer care
ABOUT THE WRONG OR RIGHT
ANY FAMILY? : I have a long dead mother, father, and two sisters. They're bleeding, bleeding everywhere, all in a dark hole in the ground. Where my Angel put them. My angel is Daddy dearest. There's also Miss Emily and Miss Edith (although Miss Edith is in trouble right now and isn't allowed to talk to anyone, because she isn't keeping secrets). Lovely pretty Grandmother is dead in the ground again all stones and dirt. She wouldn't stay, not once, not twice, didn't behave at all for mummy. But now she's resting quiet, shhhh. Poor darling Spike is wandering lost and alone somewhere in this city. He thinks he's alone, but he's never alone. I know he's not, the air tells me.
WHAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU SO FAR?:
Her humanity is still a mystery, only knowing that she had both parents and two sisters when Angelus and Darla first saw her.
Angelus saw her innocence and decided that she would be his target for his masterpiece.
After a cave in at a mine that she had forseen, Drusilla went to confession to seek the guidance of a priest about her visions and met Angelus for the first time. Angelus informed her that she was the spawn of satan and that she was doomed to hell.
Angelus pursued her and continued to cause a conflict between her mind and her power.
Angelus slaughtered her entire family, leaving Dru to survive.
On the night when Drusilla was taking her vows to join a convent, Angelus massacred every one and had his way with Darla in front of Dru before turning her.
Drusilla proved to be a very proficient hunter and seductress and her preferred victim of choice turned out to be young children.
After 20 years with Darla and Angelus Drusilla decided to sire someone of her own.
She chose a young poet named William, who became very attached to her and the two would soon split from Darla and Angel.
Drusilla was injured in Prague and Spike took her to Sunnydale for them to hide out and find a way to heal Drusilla.
Drusilla was eventually restored to health by Spike finding a ritual that would let the blood of her sire heal her.
Drusilla's restoration to health was marred only by Spikes injuries in attempting to get Dru away from the slayer during the ritual.
After her recovery, Angelus rejoined them for a while and the two men lathered affection on Drusilla.
Dru was helping Angelus trying to resurrect a demon that would destroy the world when they were betrayed by Spike.
After Spike knocked her unconscious and dragged her away from Angelus and the slayer, the two fled to south America where Dru decided to spend some time with other suitors.
Wolfram and Hart found Drusilla and brought her to Los Angeles so that she could turn a now human Darla back into a vampire.
Darla was very cross with Dru for siring her again before she realized that she was better off as a vampire.
Drusilla and Darla began to try and set up shop in Los Angeles, but Angel attempted to kill them by setting them on fire.
Drusilla returned to Sunnydale to try and get Spike to come back to Los Angeles with her so that they could get the family back together.
Instead of rejoining the family, Spike kidnapped Dru and threatened to kill her if the Slayer didn't agree to love him. Confused and scared of Spikes strange new behavior she fled Sunnydale and disappeared for a while.
the downwards spiral begins tonight
THIS COULD BE MY GREAT AWAKENING
Drusilla wandered disconsolately past the bars, strip clubs, and lounges that advertised proudly their vampiric heritage. Signs for vampire strippers, vampire DJ's and Vampire designed interiors accosted her from all sides. Bill boards displayed fanged supermodels caressing bottles peered at her in giant forms over the city scape. Normal looking college girls surrounding some nearly underaged loser begging to be bitten crowded her off of the sidewalk and onto the street.
She wrinkled her brow in confusion and put her hands to her ears to try and shut out some of the noise. That boy over there was pretending to be a vampire to get that girls number. That man over there was pretending not to be a vampire to get a different girls number. Dru paused in her wanderings to stare openly at what was clearly a demon, pretending to be a vampire in order to get some guys number. She wrapped her arms around her and began to rock slowly side to side as she tried to tune out the noises. All the whispering. Whispering little voices that tore through her head like a whirlwind. Lies, they screamed, it's all lies.
A horn blaring beside her tore her out of her own head and back into reality as a car screeched to a halt inches from her and the driver blared his horn again. Drusilla realized that she was still standing in the street. She stepped up onto the sidewalk and continued on her way down the street. She didn't understand what was going on with the world. One of the vampires that had been around her for a while now had told her that they were leaving. They were all leaving her because they had all come out of hiding now. They were "out", whatever that meant. He had said they weren't hiding themselves from the humans anymore. Dru didn't understand. When, exactly, had they been hiding? She had left not long after hearing this. She didn't know what drew her to New York. But she found herself stepping off of the train and onto the dirty streets of the Big Apple a few nights ago. She had found a place to stay easily enough, so many people wanted a vampire to rent from them. She vaguely recalled someone petting her and saying how nice it would be to have such a respectable long standing person in society taking care of their place.
Dru staggered to the side, stumbling into an alley way as the scent of raw power assaulted her. Her hands flew to her face and her back hit the wall as she reeled through all the sensations that overwhelmed her. She could hear, like through speakers far away and in her head, the blood of the humans around them pounding adn the sense of nearly limitless power course through her. And then suddenly, like a rubber band snapped back on itself, it was gone. A small sob escaped her lips, muffled by her hands, as she felt weaker and alone. A voice caught her attention and she dropped her hands to her side to look for the speaker.
There was a woman standing at the entrance to the alley looking at her with emotion. Dru's head tilted to the side as the woman asked again if she was alright. A shudder ran over Dru as she smelled the ladies breath drifting on the breeze to her. She smelled of musk, and sex, and blood. But not human blood. This was no vampire standing in front of her. This was a human with vampire blood making her lips red and succulent.
With only a fleeting thought of dragging this woman into the nearest doorway and taking her just to see what it would be like to feel how she felt, as she reacted both to Dru's touch and the blood coursing through her veins. Instead she floated past the woman and back out onto the sidewalk, watching the woman's eye's dilate as she brushed the exposed skin of her arm as Dru passed by. Walking on she found what seemed to be a quiet, dark little club with more familiar music. Slipping down the stairs and through the door she eventually found herself at a table with a bottle of something called "True blood" in her hand. The bartender and been kind enough to warm it for her but it still felt strange. She stared up at the news watching her interview a demon and listening to her haggle with someone else over the price of what she was calling "V". Drusilla raised the bottle to her lips and sipped. Her face immediately screwed up into an expression of distrust and she pulled the bottle back to glare at it. It had teased her, lied to her, the bottle had.
Confused Dru looked around the bar to see if anyone else was actually drinking this or if the bartender had decided to play a very ill advised trick on her. To her surprise she saw several people sitting alone, sipping from a bottle and staring up at the news. Her head tilted again slightly as she pondered them and their apparent taste for the bottle concoction. Lies, the voices whispered again, all lies. Drusilla frowned and set the bottle down. This would be so much easier if Angelus was here. He would explain everything to her. He always managed to explain what was going on around them in the human world. Of course, if she had her Spike then he would just make her forget about it all. She smiled a little as the thoughts of Spike's diversionary tactics raced through her mind. She leaned her head back and lost herself in her thoughts. She could hear him. It felt like he was right there next to her. She ran her hand over her arm where she could feel his touch. Suddenly his voice sounded loud and clear in her ear and her head jerked up as her eyes shot open. Spike was here. In this old new city. She smiled again as she thought of that. All of them together in this city. They were tied together they were, and nothing they could do or say would change that. They would see.
