The young woman spun the straw in her drink for the fiftieth time now and had barely taken a sip of it. The music was pounding around her and she was more than aware of the sweaty, panting bodies behind her on the dance floors. Her bright red, stylishly curled hair was loose over her shoulders and she had caught the eyes of many men watching her closely. She swallowed thickly and had to more than once tell them all to fuck off. She frightened off a couple, but there were a few of the daring that still sat there and watched her like some piece of meat. Natalya rolled her eyes and pulled out a cigarette and the bartender grabbed her wrist to growl about no smoking in the club. She slammed her hands down on the counter top and hissed about how Klaus wouldn’t be so happy when he found out that the man had even touched her at all, let alone threatened to kick her out. His face went pale and he staggered off to take more drink orders without returning to her. She blew out a puff of smoke and closed her eyes. The music blocked out everything now that she had one less sense to worry about, and even if the men were staring, none would even think to come up and try anything.

It was more or less known that she belonged to Niklaus to most people around them. They weren’t stupid when the two would walk in, Nik’s arm firmly around the redhead’s shoulders or waist, or even her neck. She’d been in there a couple of times just to do some work for him to keep herself busy because there was literally nothing else to do unless he made her do it. She was just there tonight to sit and look pretty until he was finished with business in the back, whenever that was. It was easy enough that she could just take the keys and walk back to the Mansion, but she knew better than that. She’d be in so much trouble if that were to happen. She didn’t even want to think about it right now. Her eyes opened and her vision adjusted quickly once again to the strobe lights as she spun around on her stool and leaned back against the bar to watch all of these desperate people swarming to one another; seeing who could take whom home first unless a fight broke out.
She snorted at the thought.

No one besides her, Tyler, Stefan, Bekah, and a couple other hybrids knew that Klaus even owned this place. He could tear every person apart in here and still bring in more to make more money from it. She bit down on her lip when she caught a glimpse of him over in the corner with some leggy blonde attached to his arm. She rolled her eyes and crossed her legs, she couldn’t even stand to look at him when he was like that. She raked her fingers through her hair and spun back around. Her drink looked absolutely vile now and she arched an eyebrow at the bartender and nodded at the glass, “I need a new one.” She stated simply and he just nodded before hurrying about, fixing her a different drink after throwing the other one out. She recognized the beat to this next song and it reminded her of this entire situation – it always did. It was probably her favorite song of all time, actually.

We gon’ run this town tonightttttt!

Yes, it sure as hell felt like the vampires ran New York City to her. They were the Big Bad’s around this place. She was just merely an assistant to one of said Big Bad’s. She catered to his every whim and honestly didn’t care about it. It didn’t bother her when he asked her to do the most pointless things or even just to sleep with him because no one else came home with them that night. This was why she was created, wasn’t it? To make him happy? To make him need her? She was honestly a fool and she didn’t even know it. She looked up again and caught his eye over the sweaty bodies and he sent a wink her way, but she stayed stone-faced and turned back to the bar and downed her whole drink in one go before ordering another.

She needed more friends, and she needed them now.
