FRIENDS
Vivienne tends to get along well with most people. She's very curious and well-read, and can talk about a number of different topics both mundane and supernatural. Most of her friendships are fairly superficial relationships, as she strives to remain a private person and prefers to keep personal details within a close-knit social circle. She loves meeting new people, particularly those with a supernatural inclination, and views it as the most productive way of keeping herself from getting bored.

LOVERS
When it comes to intimacy, Vivienne's motto seems to be "variety is the spice of life." She rarely stays monogamous for more than six months at a time, and moves through lovers fairly quickly. Few of these men are ever brought to meet her daughter or the rest of her family in New York, as Vivienne likes to keep an air of exotic mystery in her encounters. Plus, she does not want to confuse Adelie by introducing the little girl to a number of different men who are not going to stay in her and her mother's life.

ENEMIES
Though Vivienne prefers to make a positive impression on people, there are some who are turned off by her tendency to put her own needs before those of others. Her superior attitude, pragmatism, and general amorality have also caused others to dislike her, but Vivienne sees little reason to change based on the opinions of others. There aren't many that she considers actual enemies - mostly because she can't bring herself to care too much about those who don't like her - but the surest way to make an enemy of Vivienne is to harm her, her family, or her few close friends. And while Hollywood has made a number of mistakes in the past regarding voodoo practices, one thing they did get right is that crossing a voodoo queen is generally a bad idea.

Vivienne doesn't fit into one particular fandom, but I hope I've designed her well enough to interact with characters from all sorts of backgrounds! I may be a little slow responding to threads because I'm a full time college student with a job, but I'm very excited to play here and I hope to get plots going with all of you!

Hey, I like Vivi and I would love to play with her. The thought just crossed my mind, maybe Jared could come across her 6 yr old daughter then meet Vivi. After meeting them they could become close friends?

So I have Zahir here, who is also a very powerful Wiccan. He runs an illegal fight club where demons and other supernaturals fight in gladiator style combat. He's also the father of an adorable ten-year-old. Perhaps their kids go to the same school?

JARED: That sounds like a great idea! Adelie is an adventurous little thing who's liable to go running off the second she sees something that interests her, so Jared could easily find her running around in a park and bring her back to Vivienne, if that works for you?

ZAHIR: Works for me! They could meet while picking their respective kids up from school. And maybe Zahir has had dealings with her cousin? The shop that he owns makes most of its money catering to the non-supernatural community, but it of course also serves those with true power, so he could potentially find a market there for the magical items that he smuggles.

The store idea sounds good. Perhaps her cousin is a regular customer?

Plus, I like the idea of Zahir and Vivi meeting when they're picking up their kids. It seems so... normal xD

What's Adelie like, out of curiousty?

Vivienne Robichaud - March 30, 2012 02:36 PM (GMT)
That's what I love about games like this, because in addition to all the supernatural stuff going on, the characters have real lives that they have to keep up with as well. And her cousin Carlos could easily be a regular customer - he's a businessman, so if Zahir offers a good price, he'll usually take it.

Adelie is very much like her mother. She's an outgoing, adventurous kid who is just starting to learn what she can do. Vivienne's been training her to keep any psychic/mental abilities that she may have under wraps, and I'm thinking that with Adelie, she's going to be better with those than Vivienne is. Other than that, she's a pretty normal almost six year old. She loves playing with dolls, running around on the playground, making friends, watching cartoons, playing pretend, etc. She's smart for her age because she's been raised mostly around adults, and can come off as bratty and spoiled since she is at the moment the only little one in the immediate family.

Zahir al-Suyuti - March 30, 2012 03:46 PM (GMT)
Agreed! ^^

If Carlos is a regular customer, Zahir would definitely offer a good price.

Adelie sounds adorable! Not sure how she'd react to Bobby. He's a typical ten-year-old boy, who's recently started developing his families inherited powers (lie detection and species sensing). He's very open minded and ridiculously comfortable around demons. He has a cheeky streak a mile long and a tendency to be very, very honest.

I can see Adelie and Bobby being antagonistic toward one another at first, particularly since they're both smartass children. But after some initial fighting, I think they'd team up together and become pretty good friends. Also, there is a part of me that would not be surprised at all if, ten years or so down the line, the two of them end up hooking up, lol.

Zahir al-Suyuti - March 31, 2012 02:19 AM (GMT)
I totally wouldn't be surprised if that happened either xD

So... now for the million dollar question: who starts?

Vivienne Robichaud - April 2, 2012 02:16 PM (GMT)
If you could, that would be great! I've got a busy day ahead of me so I have no idea when I'd be able to get something up as a starter, but tonight/tomorrow I'll have more time to respond.
