A night at the Improv you won't forget!

Yes, we thought it would be fun. Amelia Chen suggested, in one of those sessions at the mamak, that we do an improv comedy revue with me as director. At first I was hesitant, having previous directing experiences remind me of the eventual stress, but it didn't take long for me to agree to do it. I have also used theatre games in my basic theatre workshops. Now, I can finally experiment with these games to discover new material for performance and more importantly, to find like-minded individuals who will take on this journey with me.

So we discussed further.The result was a bunch of performers that are crazy enough to do the show justice, or at least try really hard. We have friends(Malik Taufiq and Ashraf Zain)that have worked with at least one of us in previous productions, the rest(David Chin and Farah Rani) were from the auditions but very eager. Creating the foundation (Who, What, Where),working moment to moment with one another onstage are only some of the things all of us have learned the process so it has been a lot of fun as a whole putting the show together. Hopefully the audience with have as much fun watching as we have been figuring the show out, but if we don't, then we'll just have to do what we have been doing the last few months, make things up as we go along.
