I begin by thanking you kindly for adding some information about witches. I'm very glad to see a different kind of magic than has had the spotlight for so long a la Harry Potter. It feels a lot more organic and...plausible, I suppose.

However, I still have a few questions, even though I'm assuming we're generally leaving 'magic' intentionally vague.

Does all magic need a tangible item like the bracelet or potion described or is it more of channeling energy through the witch herself? See, I had an idea for a character who works in a lounge as like a jazz singer who mainly uses music to conduct magic. (I don't know why, but I've always found the idea intriguing. Some musical terminology sounds magical in nature, I suppose.) She would trade in charms and potions as well, but passions lie where passions lie...and she's only be like a level five or somewhere around there. Nothing crazy.

I guess I just wanted to run this by the admins before I spent TOO terribly long writing an application. Is that kind of job even open? I figured she would work on Isla Alica rather than Imbibo, partially due to the existance of the gardens. (Claire holds a degree in Ecology and loves butterflies. How sweet.) And partially because it just seems classier and more likely to have some kind of tucked away lounge for old fashioned crooners.

Sooooo...yeah. Lemme know what's up with that and I'll get right back to writing!

I loooove that you asked this question. I had an idea for a brood of singing casino witches that charm themselves with siren voices. Ill probably post it later today. I'm not 100% on what youre asking, because I imagine the witch would need something a charmed instrument or voiceto make the sound.

Oh yes! I was soooo nervous waiting for the response.

I kind of assumed it was more of a natural ability that had something to do with the flow of spiritual energies and incantations under the guise of soulful lounge music. It would be very much like the ability of a siren, but with other subtle implications aside from seduction. Or, rather, alongside of seduction. That is, with the ability to sway emotions. It would be particularly useful at a resort (to put an audience at ease) or in the face of danger (to distract or dissuade an attacker).

Aside from that, I could also see using this ability to cast an illusion. It would, of course, be quite difficult and the results even then would only be so-so without something physical to sustain it.
