This had not been Kate's idea, exactly. It made her nervous, having heroes around like they were on patrol. Maybe it was what they needed, but she still worried. The inmates didn't exactly have a lot of warm fuzzy feelings about superheroes. But. Everyone had to make sacrifices, didn't they?
Kate's next appointment was Tiger Punch, who had certainly been controversial in the news lately, but who wasn't? She couldn't judge him on that, not while dating Conner. She knew that she probably hadn't heard the whole story. Besides, it wasn't like people were lining up for the chance to restrain unruly inmates.
This what it had finally come down to - hired guns.
Stefan was pacing. It wasn't making him feel much better, but it's what tigers did, so he thought maybe it would. He felt uneasy, being here. He felt uneasy needing to be here. The fact that his...father could be on the brink of escape worried him more than he wanted to let anyone see.
The door hadn't opened, but Kate was coming. He could her hear her steps coming down a long hallway. He could hear her breathing. He stopped pacing and forced himself to sit down in the brown leather chair.

She smiled just a little and nodded. "Great. This way."
Kate led the way back to her office, quiet during the walk down the long hall. There was no point in making small talk. They were here for business - and she certainly didn't want to give the impression they had any time for small talk lately. Kate felt lucky if she could catch her breath anymore.
In her office, she shut the door and motion to a chair across from her desk. "So why don't you start by telling me why you're interested in being here?"
Stefan sat down. "Why would any hero be interested? I've spent a lot of time putting these men behind bars. I'd like to see that they stay there so that they can't hurt anyone."

"True, I suppose," she agreed. "It's different in here than out there, though. In here, you make yourself a target." Kate thought about Allen Jacobs and what they'd done to him. Maybe things would have be different, if it had been a PE officer - if it had been her. She tried not to worry about it.
"I hope you understand the commitment it is and that I can't guarantee your safety. These guys.. they aren't your typical supervillians."

"Okay." she shrugged. He could have it his way.
Kate cleared her throat. "I do want to caution you - lethal force is not encourage. Don't let them bring you to their level." Of course, they'd all killed someone before but it didn't change things. "You have to do what you have to do, but remember eyes are always watching you."
