Title: Deep Breaths and Jerky
Arielle Zabek - September 13, 2011 09:51 PM (GMT)
Arielle took the long route home, finally returning to her dorm, where she started to climb through the window. She could have turned into a cat so she would be small enough to just fly in, but right now her head was so full of thoughts that she wasn't sure she could handle being a cat. People were much better at complex thought, and sometimes you just had to think things through before you could move on. It was one of those days.

Arielle crawled in on one of Addy's world famous pacings, and this one was one to put all of her past pacings to shame. As Arielle came in, though, Addy was still making her way away from the window, so on Addy's return trip, she saw Arielle already in the window and Addy jumped about three feet into the air.
"HOLY SHIT!" Addy said, holding a hand to her chest to make sure the damn thing didn't come flying out. "Where the hell have you been? I've been looking everywhere! You just, you know, jumped out the window!"
Arielle Zabek - September 14, 2011 12:49 AM (GMT)
"Ah... It is fine. I can... do that." It was okay. Arielle wasn't sure how far she could fall and not be hurt, but it was pretty far. Also, she had her broom. So, no problem, right? Except.
"I did not mean to worry you. I am sorry."

"No, no, I know," Addy said waving her hand. She sat back down, "It was just really sudden, and you were really freaked out." She picked up Arielle's phone, which Addy had put on her desk after she'd found it the third time she tried calling Arielle. Addy tossed the phone to Arielle.
Arielle Zabek - September 14, 2011 12:55 AM (GMT)
Arielle's claws extended as she snatched her phone out of the air.
"Yes, I... Had..." A bad day? Not really. A weird and confusing day? That was closer to the truth. And. "There was a green woman in the park. She said her name was Beatrix."
Adaline Decker - September 14, 2011 02:01 AM (GMT)
"Wait, you saw Beatrix? Beatrix Potter?" Addy was in awe. She'd heard stories of the crazy dryad of Metro City her whole life, and knew a number of people that had allegedly come in contact with the lady, but this was still incredible. "Damn, I wish I'd been there to take some pictures! And she talked to you? What did you guys talk about?"
Arielle Zabek - September 14, 2011 02:04 AM (GMT)
"...Yes?" Apparently this Beatrix Potter was a big deal... Who would have known?
"What did you guys talk about?"
"Ah..." Yes. That. And. Stuff.
Adaline Decker - September 14, 2011 02:13 AM (GMT)
"Well?" Addy looked at Arielle expectantly, "I mean, did she only ever really talk about trees? Oooh, does she make really bad tree puns and not know she's doing it?"
Arielle Zabek - September 14, 2011 02:16 AM (GMT)
"Um... No." Arielle turned around to lean her broom against the wall so she wouldn't have to look at Addy.
"She was... very helpful."
Adaline Decker - September 16, 2011 11:50 PM (GMT)
"Oh," Addy said, not really sure what to do, "Well that's good. At least you didn't get kidnapped or anything."
Addy was at a serious loss as to what to do. She wasn't sure what was going on, not really, and she wasn't going to jump to any conclusions. However, she also didn't want to press the issue. The last time she had, Arielle had jumped out the window! Addy figured that Arielle would eventually tell her if she needed to.

Arielle nodded, then turned around, looking at Addy.
"I am sorry." What else to say? She didn't really want any more questions answered. Beatrix had told her more than enough.
