REGISTERING AND APPLYING please register with a first and last name in all uppercase letters, like so: HARRY POTTER. that is the only way you should be registering, so i'm not going to cover the ways you shouldn't register. just follow that one rule, and you're golden. however, if you make a mistake, PM an admin and they will gladly fix it for you. when applying for your character, post your application as LAST NAME, FIRST NAME. again, if you make a mistake in titling your application, an admin will change it for you.
CHARACTERS there are both canons and originals allowed on this site. however, the only originals allowed are the new yorkers, not the people who actually work on the magazine. sorry, that's just the way the cookie crumbles. you are allowed up to four characters, and every other must be male. you cannot have two girls in a row. it must go either girl, boy, girl, boy or boy, girl, boy, girl. if you're going to kill off a character, or want to plan a pregnancy, please inform an admin before going off on a huge plot idea and starting to roleplay it. pregnancies and deaths and other big plots need to be approved by the staff. however, drama is loved. yes. we don't admit it anywhere else, but the admins love drama. at least in the roleplay world. the more drama the better. You may have up to 3 characters without anyone's permission, but if you'd like to add up to 4 characters, you need to ask an admin for permission. You will be granted this if you are already active on all of your current characters.
ROLEPLAYING there's no godmodding. just don't do it. otherwise, please be polite to the person you're roleplaying with. there's no need to fight or be rude. really. if you feel that there is a reason for you to be impolite, then there's obviously a problem and you need to involve an admin. each of your posts must be at least 500 words. i know, people have bad days. everyone does. however, if you make a habit of short posts, you will be in danger of getting a talking to. yes. a talking to. or even a time out. everything you write should be in third person, however applications may be written in first person (in fact, we prefer it). We also prefer correct capitalization and grammar in the posts (all lowercase is fine in OOC).
GRAPHICS no nudity, and don't stretch the board. those are basically the only graphics rules there are.
CBOX no advertising, no spamming, and no scaring guests off. now, i know that it's fun to scare people. but we like guests. they're nice. and sometimes, they join the site. so, there shall be no scaring of the guests.
