alizé e. jones
28. new yorker.
she's a rebel.
about her
Alizé (pronounced Al-iz-ay) was born and raised in New York city and she's been acting and singing for as long as she can remember. She lives in a tiny, one bedroom flat by herself in the city and spends most of her time working. Right now she's preparing for her big Broadway debut in American Idiot, which is scheduled to open in a few weeks. She's completely content with her life right now and is more than a little excited to finally be able to do what she loves. Her personality is a bit of an odd one. She's a very kind and friendly girl, but people tend to find her a bit weird. She can be extremely random and loud, which is a lot for some people to handle, so a lot of the time they just don't. She's not always like that, though. Something she really does enjoy doing is reading and has spent many a night cozied up in her apartment with a nice cup of tea and a good book. She's a very intellectual girl, but since she's so much to handle at times, she doesn't always come off that way right off the bat. Many of her flaws lie in her rather obsessive compulsive tenancies and strange bursts of anxiety she experiences at certain times. Most people know nothing about it, though, because she tends to keep things like that to herself. All in all she's a rather well-liked person, who just needs to spend a little less time on her career and a little more time on doing other, fun things for herself. She'd probably be a hell of a lot less stressed that way.
friends
Just because she's known to have an obnoxiously exuberant personality, doesn't mean that she's had any trouble making friends. Between moving from New York to Chicago for school and then traveling to a slew of other places for work, she's made a lot of friends in what she does. A big reason why she landed one of the lead female roles in American Idiot is because of the relationship she had established with the director on a previous show they had worked on together. As a friend, Alizé is typically someone you'd want to keep around. She's always up for doing something fun and is great with advice. A lot of the time she's so busy listening that she doesn't even take the time to deal with her own problems. She has never seen it as a problem, though, because she's a people pleaser and constantly tries putting the few close to her before herself.
enemies
In the way of enemies, Alizé doesn't have many. None that she could name, anyway. Sure she's experienced some bad blood with people because of the competitive nature of the job she holds, but she's never really had a full blown enemy before.
lovers
Alizé hasn't been in a relationship since she's gotten out of high school. Her boyfriend abused her sexually, physically, and emotionally...and after all these years, she's still unsure if she's ever going to be ready to settle down with somebody. Not that she's unwilling to try, because she is, but she's very cautious when it comes to these things and with good reason, too. Right now she just wants to focus on her career and isn't planing on waiting around for someone to magically show up at her doorstep. Her life revolves around acting and she knows that will probably never change, which is why it would be hard for her to get into a relationship, anyway. She doesn't mind in the slightest, though, because if it was up to her- she'd marry her job.

ABBY & ALIZE
abby is an arts journalist for the new york times - her focus is on theatre, her love is musicals, and while she can be an extremely honest, somewhat brutal critic, she's also well known for the fact that she makes a point of interviewing everyone in a production, not just the stars, and that she tries to become friends with as many people involved as possible. she gets invited to all the parties and such, usually as herself, rather than a member of the press, so if alize's been in the theatre world a while, it's entirely likely that their paths may have crossed, and if not, then abby will be wanting interviews in the run up to opening night.

ISABELLE & ALIZE
i don't have any great ideas for how they could meet, since isabelle doesn't go to the theatre, or anything like that, but i feel like alize could be a good friend for her. isabelle's quieter and less prone to having fun, but she understands the workaholic tendencies and the need to put other people before herself.

Abby + Alizé
Well, we obviously don't really need to think much in the way of getting those two to meet! Maybe they've exchanged a few words in passing, but never really got to know each other or never got the opportunity to talk really until the interview?

Isabelle + Alizé
They actually sound like they'd mesh together quite nicely. Perhaps them crossing paths can just be sort of a chance type meeting?
