Ohey, Court has a second character (finally!)

This is Lincoln Rhodes, though if you wanna call him Linc that works too. He's 20 years old, and from California. LA, to be exact, and he would give his right foot to be back there right now. Okay, not literally, but he's currently working as much as he can to save up and head back home. See, his mother's sister lives here in Bailey and a few years ago she ended up needing surgery on her stomach, so getting around wasn't going to be very easy for her. Fortunately, around this time Lincoln's parents were having yet another infamous fight and his mother decided that a little bit of space was what they needed, so she packed up herself and her only child and moved out to Bailey to help take care of her sister. Linc's dad is still in Los Angeles (he's an agent for some rather big name celebrities), and while he and his wife have since reconciled, he refuses to move to Bailey, and his wife refuses to leave, having fallen in love with the small town. They're currently trying to figure out something, but Linc doesn't plan on hanging around waiting for those two to work out their differences. He's been stuck in the middle of nowheresville for two full years, and it's driving him crazy.

His parents won't help him get back home, though, because part of the reason why he'd gone with his mother to Bailey to begin with was thanks to the crowd that he was starting to fall in with in LA. He wasn't exactly doing anything bad, but there was always this threat of it happening, especially when faced with the flashy movie star temptations that he was exposed to thanks to his father's clients. Linc was supposed to finish his senior year of high school here in Bailey, but he dropped out so that he could start working full-time and afford his way back to where he belongs. But, as much as he hates it here, this place has been his home for the past two years, so he'd be lying if he tried to say that there weren't some things that make this place bearable...

And that's where you all come in!

FRIENDS

He can be a really good friend, but he's a big city type of boy and he tends to clash a lot with the townies here in Bailey because of that. His idea of fun is generally not the same sort of thing that people who've been born and raised here think of, and, truth be told, he's more likely to find any small town activities, like festivals or whatnot, quaint at best and simple at worst. But if he has a good reason to bite his tongue on the issue, he can and will refrain from possibly offending someone who really, really loves this place. He isn't a complete snob about it. ;)

Folks with big dreams/aspirations/experience outside of Bailey will likely be the best match for him in terms of friends because they know what he means about wanting to get out of here and back to the "real world", as he calls it. So if you'd know what he meant by wanting to just get away from here, you'll find a kindred spirit in that regard really quickly. He also loves driving, so if you'd be up for a road trip someplace or you just like to drive around you should be his friend because I say so. :3

Annnd since he's from LA, he knows the party scene. So if there's a party to be had in Bailey, he'll be there, whether he was invited or not. >>

Any other ideas for being his buddy are more than welcome too, so toss them at me!

ENEMIES

Linc is extremely competitive, so right off the bat if your character would get their kicks trying to one-up him, he's not gonna like you. He's very focused on what he wants, and if you stand in the way of that, he'll do whatever it takes to get you out of the picture. Whether this means that he's openly hostile towards you, or he'll play up the "friend who is scheming behind your back" angle...it really depends on the person. But he was raised in an environment where people backstab and sabotage each other for roles all the time, so it's really not surprising that that is how he thinks problems should be handled

Also, while he doesn't go out of his way to get into physical confrontations, he doesn't shy away from them either. So if you wanna fight him, he'll fight right back. (but he has such a pretty face, no one should want to hit it, right? >>).

Finally, he's really resentful of being in Bailey, and finds it so...beneath him. Well, not just him. He thinks that it's beneath everybody and cannot understand why anyone would actually want to stay here, so if you're extremely proud of your home town, his attitude toward it is going to piss you off, no question. The way he talks about LA in comparison to Bailey makes it seem like he's arrogant at times, but he doesn't think of himself that way. He just genuinely does not understand the appeal of such a small town. If he notices that he's really pissing someone off with his comments, he'll drop the subject with a "never mind, didn't mean to get you all worked up", but there's a reason why he finds himself drawn to those who are itching to get out past Bailey's borders as well.

LOVERS

Well, he had a handful of these before coming to Bailey, but unless your character was in LA two years ago I'm not sure if any ex-girlfriends might pop up here.

Other than that, he's WIDE OPEN for plots!

OTHER STUFF

...Yeah I don't know about this part. Maybe he pissed off some teachers when he dropped out without graduating, or you're his neighbour in the apartment that he lives in now (since he's refused to live with his mother and aunt once he learned that his mom didn't want to leave Bailey) orrrr co-workers orrrr yeah...I dunno, but if you've got ideas, I wanna hear them. <3
