This is Leyndarmal, a town on the northern coast of Iceland. While this might appear a town like many others, but it really isn't. A recent string of curious events has kept the town's people, and outsiders, well occupied over recent months.

town center
Shops, pubs, restaurant, hotels, a theatre; if you can take of it, it's probably here. The town center pretty well equipped though it's not exactly state of the art.

the local library
For such a small town, Leyndarmal has a surprisingly large library. In many ways the pride of the town, this library has a wide selection of books but is particularly well-stocked in the local history section.

the white church
This is the town's church. It's used for a wide range of sermons and other, town related activities. The building is filled with statues, paintings and other pieces of part picturing historic and religious events.

The town's outskirts border the shore of a large bay. Being both beautiful and peaceful it's a popular place for townspeople to relax and do some whale watching.

husavik
Husavik is a small city in northern Iceland, a few hour drive from Leyndarmal. It has about 2500 inhabitants who make their money with fishing, tourism and there's some industrialization. Husavik has, what most Icelandic people consider to be, the most beautiful wooden church on Iceland.

Raufarhofn is a small village about half a day away from Leyndarmal, sporting a grand total of 228 inhabitants. Like in most Icelandic villages, most people here make their money by fishing. The village once had a very productive export in minirals but the nearby mines ran dry. These mines are currently sealed off and empty.
