welcome to knotwood.
Welcome to Knotwood, a medieval fantasy RPG. Two kingdoms who could not be more different from each other have joined by way of the political marriage between King Erikson Ravencrest and Queen Brynn Duskwither. Ravencrest, a near totalitarian society now must loosen its strict rules in order to fit into the more democratic kingdom of Duskwither. Despite this union, the lands of Knotwood are still restless. Not all are pleased with the joining of these two worlds and the people of both countries rest uneasy as rumor persists that Erikson wishes control over both lands completely. In a show of good faith, the two kingdoms agreed to create a joint Fellowship, a shining example of unity, trust and justice. The group consists of the most elite warriors of the kingdom an is led by members of both Royal houses. However, the rivalry between the two countries and their political views places hairline fractures in an otherwise sound group of young individuals. It can be agreed however that both sides want peace and both sides work diligently towards ensuring that. With the ever encroaching threats of rival factions, evil beasts and fantastical creatures of which the people of Knotwood share this land with one thing is assured in that adventure in this vast and amazing land is never lacking.

Maius 15, Late Evening.
Continued from here.

"That would be where I abuse the look to barter my way down to nothing but I wouldn't ever want you wasting your time." Her head pushed against the side of the door, honest in that any time spent thinking over the King and his behavior was indeed a waste of time. Her eyes rolled up at his words, a light scoff exiting her lips as she looked back aside towards the view. "Yes of course." She took a few steps forward, allowing her hands to slide against his sides to draw herself near. Andrika tilted her head up to look at him with a little grin as she pointed to a random direction, furthering the joke. "There. Enjoyable considering you adore bathing without the shades drawn. It was what made it so very memorable and kept my attention squarely ever focused in that area of the city."

"That, and the view would only ever be the things I would enjoy about this place. This is not my home. My home is in Briarwood." Her lips pushed together in thought as she did miss the area in which she had called home every time she came back to this city, which reminded her nothing more than her father's death. "I have a house there. It's very small, but I like it. When my time is up in the fellowship, and I've scared away every noble who intend to use me to higher their position in the court by marriage, I intend to return to that small cottage. There I will do nothing but hunt and fish all day..." Her smirk grew as she rose up to push a kiss against his lips. "Your home in the city, is that your childhood home? Or simply a home? I'd love to see it."

The woman's bare arms moved to snake around his neck, head tilting just off to the side to continue to kiss him along the side of his face as he spoke. In the privacy of her room she had little fear of anyone stumbling over them. She hoped he would show her, as being anywhere but here in the castle was the better option for her at the moment.

A smirk crossed his lips and he answered with an amused shrug toward his bathing preference, though his features turned a bit more serious once she mentioned Briarwood. He smiled a bit at the simple plan she had in mind for when her time with the fellowship was up, not one most of royal blood chose. Then again, she didn’t seem to relish in luxuries anyway. Pressing lightly back against the kiss, his arms enclosed around her lower back, a bit of a surprised look appearing on his features toward her request. “Really? I grew up there, but it’s really not that spectacular. The view really doesn’t match up with this.” he answered with a bit of smile as she kissed along the side of his face. “But I understand wanting to see it up close after watching from the distance for all this time.” The smile stretched into a grin, pulling away to press lightly on her lips with his own before breaking away so they could leave toward town. Leaving the castle was not quite a difficult thing to do considering there were only a handful of guards at the entrances and Drystan could slip by them through shadows and no one would really question the Princess.

Once she passed the last set of guards, the Assassin re-appeared from the shadows at her side, leading the way toward the area of the city he had grown up in. Summer was settling in and the air was warm, though there was barely a soul out on the streets considering the lateness of the hour. “My father runs an alchemy shop right next to our house, though that’s more his home now than the actual house is.” he said with an amused smile. “He sleeps there more than in his own room in case someone comes by at the shop late at night with some emergency. Happens quite a lot actually. Before I joined the fellowship, we used to switch and sometimes I tended to the shop and he slept in the house.” Drystan often offered, but Oswyn Hurst was a stubborn man. “Haven’t done that in a while.” he said as he had not been home for some time, though every time he was in Celestial City he slept at his own home. The Assassin turned to look toward the Ranger as he continued to lead them toward his home. “For some reason it doesn’t sound like you go often to Briarwood either.”

Andrika let her arms slip away from the Assassin, reaching up so that she could remove the crown. She didn't bother to change anything else towards her appearance other than this one small detail. The woman tossed it on the bed on the way through the room. If she was lucky, Hytia would steal it. As she moved through the courtyard, Andrika gave a small wave to the guards. While they could not wave back, she often got a grin or two from a soldier or two towards her acknowledgment of them. When the woman moved past the gates she gazed about. A smile widened as she watched him slip from the shadows, finding his way back to guide her through the city to where he lived. Curious by nature, she enjoyed hearing towards how others led their lives - where they lived, who they lived with, what their relationships were like. One question was never enough.

"So that's where your talent sparks from." She looked over towards him with just a small shift aside to catch a glance, a grin across her lips. "He sounds like a man dedicated to his craft?" Andrika looked forward, both of her hands reaching for the sides of her skirt to push it up as she realized how quickly she came to tripping in it after walking through a small pothole in the street. The Ranger looked forward and shook her head just lightly. "No. Not for quite some time. A year at least. I can only assume that my house is covered in dust with a small family of raccoons living inside of it. Dare I disturb such a happy gathering of creatures?" Her lips pushed together and she shook her head 'no'. "Perhaps I will go soon, then perhaps you will come and visit." A grin slid across her face at her invitation as she looked his way. "Plenty of space at least outside for your dragon."

A nod had been response toward his father being a dedicated man to his craft as that could not be more true. After his mother passed away, Oswyn had dedicated little time to anything else but the shop and his son, the two being linked at some point when Drystan was old enough. The Assassin listened as she spoke of what could’ve become of her house in Briarwood, an amused grin spreading his lips. “I’ll try not to be scared of the size it could reach just by thinking of that.” he said toward her remark on his dragon as the egg was clearly close to hatching. “If the raccoon family will be alright with my visit then I might take you up on the offer. If not… well I think I can find something to bribe them with.” A smirk crossed his lips as he always had a less-than-honorable manner of finding solutions even in hypothetical situations. The walk was not long, a couple of minutes passing before they entered an alley filled with houses and shops. There was barely a difference between them, an outsider would probably have a hard time distinguishing one structure from the other, but he was no stranger to the place. “Let’s see how the alchemy shop fairs.” he said in a much too amused tone as they paused before a relatively small shop with a large window to allow passer by’s view inside.

Even from the outside, the shop looked impeccably organized, something his father had a talent for, but it was mostly dark and empty due to the hour, just one candle barely flickering inside with a man lounging in a comfortable chair next to it, sound asleep. “Yes, the dedication to his craft in all its glory.” A small breath in amusement escaped at the sight of his father sleeping in the shop but he was used to it and knew Oswyn would wake if someone entered the shop. However, they didn’t and instead the Assassin led them just a few more paces forward, a modest house practically glued to the alchemy shop. An old looking key was taken out of his pocket, unlocking the door and the half-elf pausing for a second with his hand on the knob. “I know you’re practically bursting with excitement to see the place you have been spying on for so long, but do take caution and remember an Assassin lives in here.” he said as if to warn her of potential traps, but the grin on his lips revealed his jest.

Drystan opened up the door and entered his home, allowing her entrance before closing it behind him, second step being to bring some light into the place by lighting up, two lamps enough to have the room in sight. A small amount of furniture was placed about, the rest looking like a second alchemy shop, potion vials and books spread on every rack and table available, enough to reflect precisely who lived there. “Don’t be fooled by the small amount of dangerous things. The whole ‘assassin kit’ is well hidden in the floorboards in my room.” he said with a look as he nodded toward a door to the right that led into his quarters before he mocked to grimace a bit. “Ah, again I’ve confessed too much.” What was most distinct in the home was the pleasant scent lingering in the air, the aroma indistinctive to one in particular as it emanated from the mixture of potions resting there over the years. “The dragon might need to sleep on the roof but I’m sure they’re bound to have an instinct to adapt… that or I’ll wake up one day with large black scales suffocating me.” he said with an amused grin as he settled one of the lamps on the table and he leaned lightly against the flat surface. “Feel free on offering advice to avoid that. Or does Hootly take all the space and leaves none for Spitfire in your case?”

The woman pushed some loose strands of hair behind her ear and laughed, amused by the thought of actually bribing a raccoon. She doubted it would be so easy if indeed there were raccoons living there as they were rather stubborn creatures. Andrika stepped towards the window of the Alchemist shop, moving forward to look her hand cupped over her eyes to squint and see a little better past the reflection. She followed him to the second house, not having realized how close together everything was in the city. As she spent most of her time in the forests, Andrika had never taken the time to explore Celestial City as perhaps she should have. A smile crossed her lips followed by a light chuckle as he made assumptions on her excitement. "I'll take the risk." She repressed a louder laugh, if only to spare those around who were sleeping in the vicinity.

Andrika had not expected such a cavalcade of things piled up and strung about. It was a reflection of the Assassin and was something she found utterly charming. To her this place felt inviting because it had been lived in, with time spent doing things he liked, made clear by the scent lingering in the air and the use all of the items had gotten. The woman looked about the room, picking up a book to read the cover before she gently put it back into its place. As he shut the door and made his confessions she looked over one shoulder and simply smirked in response. She was already picturing the small beast in its gargantuan form. The Ranger didn't have much doubt that it would be at least the size of his home, if not twice that. "If you're a proper father than the suffocation seems more likely." Her body twisted around slowly to walk towards him, taking quiet steps to stand a short distance from him. "Against Hootley, my dragonhawk barely stands a chance therefore yes, it's true. The owl is the only creature that has ever shared my bed."

Andrika's bridged the small gap between them, her hands moving to hold lightly against his sides. Her head tilted up to look at him, small smirk there. "I like it here. It seems comfortable. Sparing the books and beakers, it almost reminds me of my home." She tilted back down, the gaze directed at the material of the clothes he wore, fingers crawling slowly towards an opening to slide her hands against his skin. Her soft brown eyes rolled up to stare him in the eye, her touch sliding around his waist under the shirt to the front of his body. "Hmm...shush now. I'm checking for traps." The Ranger's hands slipped away and she turned her back to him, arm reaching back to pull at the ribbon that kept the dress together. It unraveled enough that the dress sloped down her back to a greater extent. It was mostly pristine skin but she had a few scars, just like anyone else who fought from day to day. The woman shifted her body just slightly to look at him, fingers of the other hand holding up the dress. "...I can only guess. You are disappointed I have used a line you were just dying to try." Decorum was useless. Social standing as well. She really only knew what she wanted.

A slight smirk curved the edges of his lips at her answer, though looking more amused toward the fact that being a good caretaker would draw more affection from a dragon that could very well suffocate him by then. As the Ranger took her steps forward within the distance between them, this eyes needed to look slightly down, for a moment attempting to follow the pattern her fingers made across the formal dark shirt he wore that night for the ball. He smirked a bit amusedly before she turned around and pulled at the ribbon holding the white dress up. The fabric slipped enough to reveal the smooth skin underneath, his eyes following up the supple curve of her back to grin slightly at her words. “Very true. I had it prepared for the right opportunity and everything.” He grinned wider for a moment before he took a slow step forward to close the distance between them, one hand settling lightly on her hip as he brought himself nearly pressed up against her back.

“However, since it has been used on me, I can accept it.” The tips of his fingers ran up the exposed skin, trailing lightly up the subtle line with his eyes carefully following the pattern. The dim light emanating from the lamp left a faint orange hue around them, just barely illuminating the few scars that marred the otherwise flawless skin, eliciting a smile as it reflected her more than her title. As he reached her shoulder, he lightly brushed the curly brown hair to one side, allowing his lips to press against the back of her neck, the scent of lilac that came with her presence slithering into his senses. “But if you were to use a line that could’ve been my own, it might result that I’m the worst influence after all.” A smirk edged on the corners of his lips, felt curving the line of his mouth as he kissed along the soft skin along her bare shoulder.

His light touch sparked an array of feeling where his fingers traced. It spread just under the surface of her skin, the overwhelming sensation forcing her to bite down on her lip just slightly. A smile appeared just a few moments later, a quiet laugh leaving them as he spoke. Andrika's gaze pulled across her shoulder just as he brushed away the length of her hair that hung and pressed his lips against her skin. Want was something rare, and to be touched and allowing that touch was exhilarating. As he edged along her shoulder, she unwittingly let herself part from his touch so that her body could turn to face him. Both hands slid down the dark shirt he wore, her dress falling around her waist as there was nothing left to hold it up. She pulled at the material of his shirt, tugging it up over his frame as best she could to a point where he would undoubtedly be forced to remove the rest. The woman's arms moved across his bare shoulders to press naked chest against his, head tilted as her body rose to have the softness of her lips press and part lightly. Her hand settled against the base of his neck drawing him in further with a deeper kiss.

The Ranger pulled back, hands sliding to either side of his face as she stared up towards him, somewhat daunted but all too willing. "I refuse to fight you towards that argument. I will simply nod to agree." She smiled, pressing another light kiss, making a path as she spoke. "I will say nothing more and only ever listen towards your wants of me and act accordingly to them..." Andrika had though this through, more so after their last encounter. The Courts only allowed her so many freedoms. While she couldn't openly express who she wished to be with if that person was not of a royal decent, that would hardly ever stop her from actually being with him. This was rather clear for how much she had let her attraction escalate, willing to offer him what many others had been denied without even a declaration of emotion or feeling expressed. Her eyes rolled up to look him in the eye with all seriousness. "It is not the easiest of roads taken if one to involves themselves with me." Andrika's grip held him a little tighter as if what she said would drive him off, leaving her foolish to have said so in the first place. Her words were obvious but she had to express them. "Though perhaps after this you might find yourself quickly tired of me...then such statements become invalid." She grinned just lightly into a press of her lips against his, unafraid to indulge even if he was set to reject her.

The upward pull on the dark shirt compelled him to remove it entirely from his body, letting fall down to the floor and placing his hands to rest on her bare sides, leaning in to catch her lips with his own. He grinned slightly after she broke away to speak, arms idly enclosing around the Ranger’s smaller frame pressed against him to draw her closer. They have been vigilant with this around members of the fellowship or anyone else for that matter, something Drystan had been aware of from the beginning that they would have to do. Perhaps it wasn’t the easiest road but that wasn’t quite an obstacle in his mind. His eyes looked toward her features with a smile, holding back an answer for a few moments to press further into her kiss, pulling back only to speak. “I think you might be underestimating yourself.” The Assassin grinned a little as he trailed from her lips along the side of her face, pushing slow, light presses on the skin in between sentences. “My interest lies far beyond. So I don’t intend on running off scared. Easy road or not.” A small smile curved the edges of his mouth while he made a path down her neck, the tips of his fingers sliding slowly down her sides.

“In regard to my wants…” His lips returned on their trail to press back against her own, parting lightly as his fingers hooked in the upper hem of her dress to tug at it the rest of the way down from her waist. The white fabric slid to the floor to reveal the length of her legs, pooling at her feet, but not for long. Catching a light grasp on her hips, he guided them through the opened door that led to his room, his lips prying away only for a few moments in between presses. He derailed from the path just slightly, leaning her back against the frame of the door with his own body hovering close, directing his face in front of her own just a few inches away. “It does imply that you’re placing trust in an Assassin.” A small smirk overtook his features as he pushed another kiss upon her lips, voice gaining a quieter edge. “Very courageous… that Slythis doesn’t stand a chance.” The slightly amused grin was displayed for only a second, accompanied by a small breath to denote it before he closed the small distance between their lips once more, this time allowing his hand to roam up her exposed body, the surface of his palm delighting in the warmth of her skin.

Andrika felt relieved at his words. The Ranger never needed more confirmation than words spoken firstly because saying things twice was just a waste of breath. Her head tilted towards him as he kissed along her neck, her skin feeling a light shiver when coupled with the feel of his fingers sliding down her sides. As he held her hips, she let her hands slide over his shoulders and she pushed them up against his chest. A small breath escape as she the fabric fell away from her body and when his hands pulled at her hips. She used the opportunity to remove her shoes, her body loosing some height as she did so. As he gently pushed her back up against the door's frame she tilted her head up to let her eyes fall on the features of his face just an inch or so away. Andrika grinned in response to his words, his quiet words spoken so close in between the kiss prompting a small laugh. The laughter was silenced by his kiss and she responded by deepening it, her hands resting at his sides before they just barely slid under the hem of his pants. A grin crossed her lips as she spoke just as quietly. "I suppose it does imply that. Hm, part of me thinks you simply want me to catch a Slythis in hopes it might be a mother and you could raise a creature like that from birth...only adding to your army of treacherous creatures." Some soft laughter followed, fingers tracing down his sides as she did speak.

Easily she was lost in the patterns his fingers made against the surface, finding instincts take control of her actions. As her lips left his she grinned, brushing the softness of them along the space between his neck and shoulder and drawing them across his collar, all while pulling at what clothing was left on his frame. As she continued to press her lips where she could along his chest and neck, the woman pulled him towards the bed. Her own body walked backwards until the back of her legs hit the front of the frame and using her hands against his shoulders to steady herself she pressed her knees into the bed. Fingers curled around the back of his neck to drag him into another fevered kiss, pushing herself backwards against the soft surface of the bed, dragging him on top of her. All she had was instinct to guide her and little experience. In subtle ways that vulnerability showed by slower, sometimes unsure movements. Suppressed wants however seemed to overshadow those behaviors just slightly, coaxing him with the arching of her back and the touch of own hands roaming across the Assassin's frame wherever she could reach.

“I hoped you wouldn’t catch on to that.” he replied in the same quiet voice with an amused hint underlying in his tone as her fingers tugged on his pants. The light breath of laughter was drowned out by the press of her lips, relieving himself of what clothes were left on his body before following toward the bed. His quarters differed little from the rest of the house, simple with more books than furniture occupying the modestly sized space. As he felt the pull on the back of his neck he pushed further into the kiss, slowly leaning forward and lowering himself lightly on top of her, keeping his weight from becoming overbearing. He broke away if only to afford some air, one hand sliding up her side, making a careful trail across the exposed skin before settling on the side of her neck and allowing the tip of his finger graze lightly along the line of her face. For a few moments his eyes travelled over her features, a smile showing just before he closed the remaining distance toward her lips with his own, letting his frame lower itself a little further down against the bare skin beneath him.

He trailed away slowly from her lips, making a path down the column of her neck, along her collarbone and across the curves of her chest, breathing in the alluring scent and taking pleasure in the smooth, warm skin in the way. There was just a slightly drawn out edge to his gestures, careful patterns made along her body that were given a slower pace than his want demanded him to take. Once all clothes were discarded and tossed to the floor next to the bed, he brought himself in line with her face and his lips up against her own, a pleasant sensation spreading through him as he lowered upon the warmth her body. The touch of his hand roamed across the soft skin and lips traced along the side of her face, careful kisses trailed as he pressed himself against her, a steady control held tightly on his own body. He allowed himself to be guided by the rhythm of her breathing, mouth drawing patterns along her shoulders and the curve of her neck to end its trail upon her own, hovering close only to break away when breath was needed.

Her body relaxed under the subtle touch as his fingers trailed up across the bare skin and settled along the line of her face. She stared with lids partially shut though not directly into his gaze far too focused on his mouth as he pulled her into a kiss. As he lowered against her, she slid her thighs aside of his hips while her fingers drew aside his face and partly into his hair to keep him from straying too far. When he moved away she let a small breath out and relented her grip if only allow herself to be subjected to the satisfying pace. The Ranger stopped short of breath as he moved over sensitive areas, feeling a flush move through her limbs and her body felt warm and entranced to his motions. Where his drawn out movements made patterns, Andrika still felt the subtle imprints on her skin. Her body tensed for a moment as he pressed against her but seconds after she felt her frame melt underneith him, a thrill pushing through every cell in her body as he moved in tandem to the rise and fall of her chest.

Lips so firmly pushed against his she forgot to breathe as her want refused oxygen to her lungs which made her head felt light. The woman wanted to drown in the feeling, the tension inside of her building in ways her body had never felt before. The further they moved against each other the more she craved, this reflecting in her deepening kisses and the grip her fingers held against his back. Her arms wrapped around his neck, her cheek pressing against his as she held further against him as she found herself losing control of her own actions. Waves of warmth overtook her, every touch searing until her lungs let go and her body found a drawn out release. Her back pushed further into the bed and her arms fell back accordingly as she arched one final time before her body gave way completely. She was left with an utterly blissful feeling and when their bodies had to pull away from each other she finally allowed her lungs to take in greater breaths to catch up with herself.

The Ranger held no regret towards her actions. These things had meant something to her and was far more satisfying than what could have resulted otherwise."I can't ask you to lie about this but I trust you. Whatever your intentions are..." She smirked just lightly at the last comment, turning to her side and letting her hand fall aside his face once he had settled, kissing him in some form of physical confirmation of her lack of regret and confirmation of her trust.

The feel of fingers pressing into the skin of his back only heightened sensation, pleasant patterns drawn along the length of his upper body. The warm trails were absorbed into the surface of his skin the more they pressed against each other, lips barely leaving hers to trail down along her neck and shoulders. The control he had held over his own movements lessened until there was nothing but instinct leading him, body tensing and breathing growing harsher, lost against the warmth. It increased in intensity and rhythm until it reached peak, a pleasurable wave coursing through the entirety of his body, muscles tightening their grip around her slender figure and lungs releasing a heavy breath against the soft skin as her back arched one last time into him. Quick, long breaths were left in its wake in an attempt to regain the rhythm of his breathing, a calm and utterly relaxed state settling through his frame.

He slid away onto his back, head pushing back for a few moments as he indulged into the feeling. A small smirk showed itself on his lips as he heard her speak, feeling her hand rest on the side of his face and leaning himself into her kiss. “Well, since I’ve apparently kidnapped a princess from the royal ball and brought her to into my humble home, I suppose my intentions could be up for debate…” he said with an amused grin as both of those had been done after her request. The Assassin pushed the covers from underneath them, up and over their bodies. Knowing her social standing, he had no intention of derailing from the hidden aspect of it as he truly did not wish to cause harm or threaten her position in the court in any way for being with him. He had been aware that was something he would have to accept from the beginning. More so, he slid away after another light kiss was pushed against her lips, walking out of the room and returning a couple of moments later with the white dress in hand, placing it on a wooden chair before closing the door behind him, leaving no clue of her presence there to anyone who may enter his home.

“Don’t get excited, I didn’t get that to cross dress… again.” he said with a smirk in reference to something he had told her about as he slid back under the covers. The bed was not by any means large as his and his father’s lifestyle afforded only so much, barely fitting two though with her smaller frame, there was enough space. He shifted on his side and snaked his arms around her body to pull her against him. “You know, you can blame everything on the fact that I have a dragon now. Entirely irresistible.” he joked with a slight grin before he tilted his head to press his lips up against her own, the amused look still prevailing once he pulled back.

The woman laughed at his words, eyes rolling to the side slightly as it truly had been her idea to be taken in the first place. Andrika grinned as she positioned her body under the covers, pulling the sheet further above her chest. She watched him move away, her lips pushing together as she avoided staring completely at the man as he moved about and returned with her dress. A half smile pushed against her features, knowing such a gesture revolved around being cautious. The Ranger didn't want to be cautious in the least but thinking about it more deeply was sobering. The complication did not solely land on her shoulders alone. Those thoughts disappeared as he returned to the bed and she shifted to pull herself close as his arms circled her towards him. In their closeness she took in his scent and pushed her lips against his, a more blissful feeling returning to overtake her again.

"Oh, entirely so." The woman laughed, shaking her head 'no' as it was there were a great many different reasons why she was attracted to the Assassin. She wiggled just slightly next to him before she kissed him just under his jaw. "My bed in Briarwood is about this size, a little larger. Eventually there will be some away time allowed from the group and I shall order you there to protect me." Andrika smirked just lightly towards her little plot. "Though I'm not quite sure from what. Perhaps spiders. I'm deathly afraid of those miniature things. Crawling up my skin." The smirk grew just that much larger as her hand pressed against his back to pull herself as close as she could get. Her face burrowed into his chest slightly, her voice muttering. "I have decided that I shall never leave this bed and therefore by consequence, and considering the tight hold I have on you, you shall stay as well." Andrika laughed up against the skin, joking though in this position it was hard to argue with her logic.

A smirked curved the Assassin’s lips at her plot concerning his visit to her home in Briarwood, a light laughing toward the explanation. “Downright terrifying.” he said toward spiders with a grin stretching his lips, arms snaking further around her smaller frame as she pulled herself up closer against him. He let out a sound in mock of thought as she muttered slightly, his head directly a little downward toward the Ranger. “So in reality, I’m the one being kidnapped and held captive after all.” A smirk reappeared across his features though it was hard for her to see from her angle. “Mm, tricked and forced to never leave the bed. Truly a punishment for so foolishly believing Rangers have that whole honor complex you mentioned that wouldn’t let them resort to trickery.” he said though knowing very well that had been a jest when she had mentioned it. A light laugh escaped before he pressed a kiss where he could reach against the top of her forehead to then return his head back in its previous position.

The fingers of one hand trailed along the length of her back under the covers in an idle manner to enjoy the smooth texture under his fingertips. “I’ll gladly accept the position of royal guard for any time away from the fellowship. Those poor spiders will never see it coming. Unless…” he faked a shocked gasp and he pulled back a little to look toward her features. “…that’s just another trick to get me kidnapped again.” He paused for a moment before he shrugged. “I’ll allow it.” The Assassin pushed a kiss against her lips, a small grin left once he returned back in their previous place, arms keeping the warmth of her body against his own. “I’m just hoping Hootly will let me share your bed there. Otherwise I might wake up with a tiny owl pecking at my fingers and pulling at my hair.”

"At the very least you are now aware of how truly unscrupulous Rangers can be." She felt the press of his kiss against her forehead and she smiled somewhere in the mess of her hair that partly covered her face. "Hardly a trick when you're so willing." The woman teased as she slid a little higher up his body to where their lips could meet as he drew her in. As they pulled back she noted the grin and couldn't help but laugh at the mention of her pet owl. "He aims for the eyes. I trained him well." A devious smirk caught her features as to denote that Hootly's penchant for pecking at men came by her order.

Against the warmth of his body it was nearly impossible not to feel so relaxed that some tiredness overcome her but she knew she could fall asleep here and spend the night. There would be questions as to her whereabouts she could not answer truthfully though her mother Brynn had a way of knowing when Andrika was lying. Brynn had held back many truths about Andrika from Erikson, especially where it concerned her decorum. Andrika did not want Brynn to have to lie yet again. Her lips pushed together and against his chest, arms sliding up around his neck to pull herself higher again to see him face to face. "I honestly don't want to go back," The young woman tumbled her way to straddle him, sitting upright with a grin across her lips as she pulled some of her curly brunette hair behind one ear. "..but I can't fall asleep here. I would love to. I would. I think from now on, I'll have to spend my time in trees where neither of us can reach the other so easily. Can you climb?" Her lips pushed together with a little laugh, though she was serious about sleeping in trees.
