Guide to Dynamic Time
Time works a little differently. We ask that players add a code at the top of their posts (as described in Rules). The reason for this? We work on a monthly rotation in a little something we like to call "Dynamic Time". Dynamic time means quite simply this: to not being stuck to one date, or one week or relying on the board's time stamp. This gives a greater control to both players and moderators in order to keep track of time or to forward time if we so wish it. The month of which we are located in is relayed on the sidebar under "Month and Weather'. This indicates the amount of time you have to play around within that month to post. That means you can have a post going on on November 1 and a post going on November 22 at the same time. You could even post at different times in on the same day in different boards. For instance, you could be posting November 1, 10 AM in Knotwood Forest, but then as your character moves throughout the day, you can post at the same time November 1, 10 PM in Celestial City. How is it that we keep track of all of this? Time trackers in Character Profiles. Every 1st (REAL LIFE TIME), the administrator pushes the RPG one month forward. That shouldn't stop you however from completing your posts from previous months. Dynamic Time works backwards (and it could work in the future, we just don't allow it). I hope this explanation gives you, the player some insight on how we run time within the IC rpg. |
