The woman reached out a hand with sun dried berries that Belthazrin eagerly licked into her mouth. When Vivienne asked of her sons she sighed and shook her head. The horse nudged her for more of the treats and she dismissed it with a slap of its snout. Belthazrin made a grunting noise. Asren smiled.
"My boys, Avo and Demnaar are men now but drive my caravans like fools. They sank my Hipphants back in sandpits not far from here competeing with eachother. Ill have to get help from proper herdsmen in the city."
Asren's interest was piqued and he stepped out from around Belth's flank. The harsh valley ahead rolled slightly with few hills but one could see far as the sun provided. Not far from where they were Asren spotted the sandpits. "Shall we lend our services, your highness?
I can see them from here they only need the proper application of pulled ropes - perhaps urging for the beast."
"Your friend's voice is a kingly one, Vivienne." The old merchant wore a knowing smile. " I want not trouble a royal union with my sons' foolishness but if you do go, please teach them rather than let them watch. Their father has been gone and should have taught them that way
cycles ago. Blessed be your trails lord and lady. This horse is too fat also."
Belthazrin snorted and Asren patted her nose. He looked to Vivienne. "Apologies. There was no fooling that one."

“The horse is not fat, she’s just thick with muscle” Vivienne said as she leaned forward the snorting Belthazrin as she stroke the mare’s main. “If we are to assist we should do it soon, darkness approached and the dessert hounds approach. The lack of water has left them with little to no food so it’s best to be haste.”
She straightened her back to shift to allow to Asren to get upon the horse behind her. Hitting her heels onto the horse’s sides it began to move quickly against the sand. The horses of Emmersend moved quicker than from other lands for having to run against turbulent sands where their hooves would sink. Vivienne wrapped the horse’s reins around her fingers to lean forward to help the air against them to allow speed to take over.
The two men stood at their caravans with dumbfound looks upon their faces, one singing a bottle to their lips. The hot fiery sun against the skin and turned to see the two approaching on seeing the queen eyes went wide. Demnaar who had the bottle in his hand was the one to bow to his knees first in regards to the presence of the queen to then wave his hand to Avo who followed, bowing his head sheepishly.
“Your Highness, we did not mean to sink the caravans into the sands. We were attempting to be speedy to arrival and-”
“Stop with your foolish excuses and get some rope. What type of respect do you show to your mother by nearly delaying sales for the very money that brings clothes to your backs and food on your table.” The two men were left startled at the fact the queen in a motherly fashion was scolding them. “Now, listen carefully and do not make a mockery of yourselves. Next time, I’ll leave you to the dessert hounds.”
