welcome to knotwood.
Welcome to Knotwood, a medieval fantasy RPG. Two kingdoms who could not be more different from each other have joined by way of the political marriage between King Erikson Ravencrest and Queen Brynn Duskwither. Ravencrest, a near totalitarian society now must loosen its strict rules in order to fit into the more democratic kingdom of Duskwither. Despite this union, the lands of Knotwood are still restless. Not all are pleased with the joining of these two worlds and the people of both countries rest uneasy as rumor persists that Erikson wishes control over both lands completely. In a show of good faith, the two kingdoms agreed to create a joint Fellowship, a shining example of unity, trust and justice. The group consists of the most elite warriors of the kingdom an is led by members of both Royal houses. However, the rivalry between the two countries and their political views places hairline fractures in an otherwise sound group of young individuals. It can be agreed however that both sides want peace and both sides work diligently towards ensuring that. With the ever encroaching threats of rival factions, evil beasts and fantastical creatures of which the people of Knotwood share this land with one thing is assured in that adventure in this vast and amazing land is never lacking.

DATE: Martius 20, Early Afternoon
WHERE: Eastland Falls
TAG: Fellowship members

She was here, right where she was supposed to be, waiting to meet those who would be the ones she would travel with for... a while at least. There was one thing that was always certain in her mind, things could change and no matter how far ahead you planned, most of the time those plans came to naught. Still she hoped that this journey would be a good one over all, with more happy memories then sad. She was glad that there was peace now. Or really a form of it, things were not as settled as they might seem, old grudges die hard after all. And both sides had many of those.

She herself, had been in the army, and fought against Ravencrest. While she didn't have anything against those who were from Ravencrest, she did however loose friends in battles with the other countries army, and also cause losses on the other side as well. Tinúviel was more nervous than anything, she didn't want to cause a rift in what could possibly be a cohesive group because of her past, but there was nothing she could really do about it, other than worry.

Which she did, and it showed in the little lines she had scratched into the tavern table that she was sitting at. Taverns were not her favorite places, she often had to deal with men wanting things from her and the owner of the bar also wanting something, though usually it was just an order and the money to purchase that order with. So far in this tavern, because of its slightly more "up town" feel, she hadn't had to turn anyone in to sheep yet, but she knew that eventually, she would be tempted. For one reason or the other.

Eastland Falls was one of her favorite places in the entire Kingdom other than her home of Briarwood. She took her time walking in the streets and she hoped that she wouldn't be too late for this meeting. Perhaps Kael was there first, perhaps not but it would be nice to arrive before him as she often thought that he was the type to scare off recruits with what she referred to as his 'permanent scowl'. With a deep breath in she pushed the doors to the tavern open and she looked about. An elf with fair skin and long dark hair had been the description given to her where it concerned identifying Tinúviel Lúthien

Andrika had little fear entering any bar, be it high scale or low scale establishments because she both loved liquor and enjoyed a good fight despite her upbringing. The woman looked about before she saw a woman to fit the description given and Andrika made her way through the old men and soldiers to take a seat across from the elf. She extend a hand in greeting. "Andrika Bowen." That was the name that Tin had been given, as Andrika rarely used her real name in public for obvious reasons. "You must be Tinúviel Lúthien. Pleasure to meet you."

Tinúviel felt a deep sense of relief as Andrika introduced herself and sat down. The other woman was clearly more at home in this environment and that made it easier for the mage to relax. Plus two women were harder to approach than just one, the odds of her having to change a man into a sheep probably just dropped by half. "I am she, I'm glad you were able to find me, I'm not overly familiar with Eastland, I thought I was in the wrong tavern for a while there." She smiled softly. In all truth she was ready to get the meeting of the rest of the team over with, for once you knew who you were dealing with, one could prepare herself and make less of a bumbling entrance.

"Are we to meet everyone somewhere else then here?" If they were to leave, Tin would hardly mind, rather she would be happy to get out of this establishment. To walk the streets and possibly meet up somewhere.... outside. She was very much a person who loved the outdoors, other then when it rained for three weeks straight and everything got soaked through. Then no, then she preferred a roof and a warm bed.

"Ha. No worries." Andrika said, lifting herself and her arm up to motion for a bar wench to pass them two drinks, as indicated by her fingers. She settled back into the chair and turned her attention back to Tin, nodding to answer her question. "They are preparing for our trip across the sea to Ravencrest." The young Princess stuck out her tongue and made a face towards even uttering the word.

"I simply wanted to meet you first before introducing you to the remainder of the group. As I see my step-brother isn't skulking about, therefore I assume he's been caught up in some more serious business and has left the introductions to me." She put her hand in her chin, fingers rapping up against the side of her face as the bartender came to bring them two glasses of Alwyr Red, an elven wine. "So. Our last mage had a problem where it concerned randomly changing us into sheep. Now, if you have such a problem with your abilities, I would suggest that you only direct it to Kael. He'll never mind. A good sense of humor that one..." Lies, but oh, the look on his face when it would happen? Priceless.

Tinúviel listened to Andrika speak, settling into her seat a little more, fine with conversing for a short while. Why not? After all it was best to get to know people on a one to one basis. At the mention of Ravencrest, she found herself strangely curious, while she had been in the war, she had never fought deep into enemy territory, in fact, she had mostly fought on the Duskwither side of the boarder.

Andrika then mentioned her step-brother, whom she had been told was co-leader, but for now in her mind it was in title only. It wasn't he who was here, still he probably was busy with something important that required his attention. "Skulking? He's one of those is he?" a mild smile found its way onto her lips. The drinks then arrived and Tin took a moment to take a sip and savor the lovely wine, the only redeeming quality about these places (sometimes) were the drinks.

The past mage was brought up, and Tin raised an eyebrow. A mage that couldn't control her spells, or at least one of them, would be a bit if a bother. That was for certain, and though she didn't have that problem, she still could see the humor in what Andrika was suggesting. "No I don't have that problem, but not everyone has to know that, now do they? She lightly chuckled, "It can be our little secret." Yes that spell could create the most hilarious situations... ah the memories.

"I have seen him laugh once but children started to cry at the sound." Andrika mostly teased, as she did have respect for her fellow Ranger but teasing him was too much fun. She took a sip of her drink and leaned her elbows against the table, nodding to agree to keep this among themselves. "At the moment, you'll be the only mage we have so we'll be depending on you. But I have heard word of your experience, so I'm not exactly worried towards if you can keep up or not."

The woman kept her grin into a sip of her drink, head tilting aside as she pointed to a very large and burly man in the corner who was staring at their table. "Oh, I think the man with the huge scar across his face is staring at you. Goo-goo eyes." Her brow raised playfully as it looked as if this man were simply scowling at them.
