Points Information


Now, the aim of this community is to have fun and earn points for your respective Houses. Points have been broken up into Five Categories for this Community to make it easier on the staff when handing out points. The Categories are set as follows: Graphics A (Icons, Sig Banners, Colorbars), Graphics B (Wallpapers, Fan Art, Banners - Blends/Advertising), Text A (Advertising, Challenges, Discussions), Text B (Essays, Poems, Fan Fiction) and Journal Friendly Graphics (Friends Only, Journal Headers, Layouts & Mood Themes). Anything you put forward for points must be COMPLETELY YOUR OWN. Points will be deducted for taking graphics from another community and labelling them as your own. Collaboration is allowed, ie, a Gryffindor and Hufflepuff can work on a piece of Fan Fiction together and both Houses will be awarded points -or- two Slytherins can create a bunch of icons and post them in the one post earning points for their House.

If collaborating, please ensure that you include the names and House of everyone who worked on said collaboration, not just usernames. It must read "Bekkah of Ravenclaw and Bob of Hufflepuff" or "Bill and Betty of Slytherin." Any work submitted for points *must* have your name and House attached to it, so we know who the points belong to and which House it has been earned for.

Now, onto the Points



Graphics A:

- Icons

Average Icons - 1 point / Average Icons will look like . They contain mostly text on a colorful background or colorful text on a plain background. This also covers Icon Bases and AIM Icons as well.

Exceptional Icons - 5 points / Exceptional Icons will look like . A lot of time and effort will have gone into the icon, and the work will be visible.



- Signature Banners

Average Signature Banners - 10 points / Average Signature Banners 600x100(max) will have little to no special qualities. A plain colored back ground with a name.

Exceptional Signature Banners - 15 points / Exceptional Signature Banners 600x100(max) will have had a lot of time and effort put into them and the work will be visible.


- Color Bars

Plain Colorbars - 5 points / Plain Colorbars that are just a strip of color.

Average Colorbars - 10 points / Average Colorbars that are just the same picture with a multi-colored overlay.

Exceptional Colorbars - 15 points / Exceptional Colorbars that are multiple pictures, some brush work and include the html coding box.



Graphics B:

- Banners (Blends and Advertising)

Average Banners - 15 points / Average Banners 500x400(max) simple blends, simple graphics, some text.

Excaptional Banners - 20 points / Exceptional Banners 500x400(max) blends, brushes, text, maybe animation.



- Wallpapers

Average Wallpaper - 30 points / Average Wallpaper 800x600 or 1024x700 simple picture with some text.

Exceptional Wallpaper - 35 points / Exceptional Wallpaper 800x600 or 1204x700 includes blending, brushes, text, maybe animation.



- Fan Art

Plain Fan Art - 40 points / Plain Fan Art is 'doodles' in your school notebook or on scrap paper.

Average Fan Art - 80 points / Average Fan Art is basic sketches, a little color but mostly sketchings with lead/charcoal.

Exceptional Fan Art - 120 points / Exceptional Fan Art is very professional looking work. Extensive use of graphics programs/talent/skill.



Journal Friendly Graphics:

- Friends Only

Average Friends Only - 25 points / Average Friends Only 500x500(max) simple picture, some text.

Exceptional Friends Only - 30 points / Exceptional Friends Only 500x500(max) blends, brushes, text, maybe animation.



- Journal Headers

Average Journal Headers - 45 points / Average Journal Headers simple picture, some text.

Exceptional Journal Headers - 50 points / Exceptional Journal Headers, blends, brushes, text.



- Layouts

Uncoded Layouts - 60 points / Uncoded Layouts header, background, icon.

Standard Layouts - 100 points / Standard Layouts header, background, code, icon

Exceptional Layouts - 160 points / Exceptional Layout, header, background, code, icon.

Friends Layouts - 70 points / Friends Layouts working in conjunction with Uncoded, Standard and Exceptional Layouts.



- Mood Themes

Average Mood Theme - 120 points / Max. 84 pictures in entire theme.

Exceptional Mood Theme - 150 points / Min. 123 pictures - Max. 132 pictures in entire theme.
