welcome!
a war has been brewing since the dawn of time. vampire v. mortal. it had been detained when the offspring of the first vampire dethroned their queen. time passed, the war quelled to a time of mild peace but all that has changed, now.
after the defeat of lilith and the hunters, the city has found itself in the middle of a new war. with one enemy gone, the vampires seem to be facing an old enemy - the werewolves. caught in the middle of all of this? the shape shifters. they're being forced to pick sides or risk becoming just like the mortals the wolves and leeches hunt.
which side will you choose? can the war be won or will the world fall to a reign of darkness and blood? choose now or fall with the weak.

__&&in the beginning long before the written time, before there was adam and eve, there was adam and... lilith. yes, lilith, the woman before eve. unable to be the submissive wife to adam, god casted lilith out of the garden of paradise, she was left to wander the wild and dangerous world on her own. during her time of wandering, she learned how to manipulate the magics of the world. honing her powers into great power, lilith became a sort of mother goddess to the wild. because she was left out of the garden, eve's deception did not effect lilith. god saw no point in punishing her anymore than she had been. this left lilith immortal... as time passed, lilith grew lonely. she found her companion in cain, the son that god sent out. outcasts, the both of them, lilith and cain grew close. however, she was starting to realize that he would grow old and die if she did not do something about it. one night, under the cover of darkness, lilith and cain did something no other had ever heard of... lilith stabbed cain and watched him bleed. it was the only way to replace his blood with her own and give him the gift of immortal life. cutting her wrist with a silver blade, she then bled into him and offered her life force to him. cain was now like her... immortal.
still, lilith was lonely. as the population of the world grew, so did lilith's family. together, she and cain roamed the world, creating more children. the first generation of their line became what was known as ancients. they were the purest generation the world had ever known. able to walk in the sun light like their queen, the ancients spread out, leaving their mother to form their own families and spread their gifts. shortly before liltih's fall, cain went into the ground. he was tired of living and needed a rest before he found a more permanent means to an end. as time went on and more generations were created, the power of the blood thinned and the children were unable to fight against the sun's power, thusly finding themselves in darkness. lilith's story, however, was not finished. as they began to build a kingdom, lilith found herself growing insane with power, wanting to enslave the mortal world and make them all but extinct for her family. one of lilith's first children, however, could not permit this and rose up against her. killing his queen with his followers, darius had her body torn apart and sent to the corners of the earth in an effort to never raise the queen from her final resting place. Her skull was entombed in a statue for her that was set in the central garden of the queen's former palace located somewhere near bavaria.
after guarding the world and maintaining balance for centuries, darius went into the ground to sleep. over time, his reign and existence faded into legend and lore and he was nothing more than a memory and a fairy tale. __&&we will never forget in the time between the fall of lilith and the present, three clans had formed among the vampires and the ancients had all but died. the lilitu, the strega, and the likhyi. a war had been brewing ever since, each clan having their own plans for the world and their own beliefs. the lilitu planned on finding the mythical canopic jars that hold the ashes of their queen and then they would find the mysterious statue that had been buried with darius when he decided to go into his slumber. they would free the skull and bring their queen back to rule the world once more. the strega wished to bring her back to rule her, and the lekhyi mostly wanted her remains to upset their fellow vampires.
of course, there were those out there that didn't want the vampires to find anything. they were the hunters of the helsing organization. formed by the one and only great van helsing, himself, his family's line has carried on the work and has expanded into a rather well funded military organization filled with hunters young and old but all very well experienced. they'd been combating the enemy for centuries and they'd risk the life of every slayer among them if they have to just to see the vampires fail in their attempts. of course, this wasn't the warfare your mother is used to...
seeing that it's obvious the city was in need, the hunters started to look for more aggressive means of combat and the vampires were beginning to look for ancient leaders of their own to head up the war. by pure accident, the legendary patriarch of the likhyi had been resurrected. the problem was, he doesn't seem to interested in helping anyone bring lilith back, making people think that he might not be the man he once was. worse... it seemed like the lilitu are getting closer to finding the necessary means of awakening lilith. the strega, under the leadership of a new leader and his pet turned vampire bride, were facing problems of their own dealing with their subjects bending to the rule of a former pet as their leader. and the mortals? well, they were starting to think that these mysterious and questionable attacks are more than just random abuses made by sick cult members. __&&here and now after years of heated battle, the lilitu had found what they were looking for. they'd found their queen and brought her back. she'd helped nearly wipe out every single one of the hunters and erase them from the face of the earth. from there, she'd turned her attention on the world and had nearly wiped out the entire population of london before the ancient, darius, could stop her. in the battle, however, he found that he, too, had met his end and darius was slain in the defeat of lilith - for good. order was returned to the city and the vampire clans united under one name. the name was lazarus, the former leader of the lilitu. seeing what he'd unleashed on the world, he realized that things were different than what he'd wanted them to be and, now, he was attempting to reorder the world and rebuild everything that had been lost. with the absence of the hunters, though, things are getting interesting. the werewolves and shape shifters who had been hiding from the hunters in their time are now coming out into the light and that's causing some interesting mixes. the vampires, having been in a war with the wolves for some time, are now looking to enslave them as they had been centuries ago while they're not quite sure how to handle the shape shifters.
once taking back control of the city, lazarus paid off the government, forcing them to find a cover up answer for how things went. considering that they'd once been very close with the helsing organization, it wasn't too hard to do. so, for most of the population, the city of london believes that there was some form of human rabies epidemic that had broken out and caused the people to turn violent. the papers printed that the military had been able to find these people and 'quarantined' them until they could get help. now, though, the vampires are starting to realize that they might be in, over their heads. new threats are now pouring into the city with the fall of the hunters and they're challenging every vampire out there.
hunters are banding together... werewolves are coming out of hiding... it's an all out war, a free for all to the highest bidder. only one will come out on top. the wolves seem to have a blood debt to repay against the vampires and, everywhere you turn, there are reports of missing people. they're building an army, preparing for the upcoming war against the vampires. the hunters, meanwhile, are working underground in an attempt to reclaim the city from the supernatural hosts. caught in the middle are the quiet, defenseless ones. the mortal civilians and a race of people that have lived amongst us for a lifetime and we've never known it. will the vampires win and bring a reign of blood and terror on the city? perhaps the wolves will unite and over throw the leeches to give the city to the dogs. better yet, perhaps the hunters can save us, still. one thing is for sure... the wild card shape shifters will be the one weapon that we all can count on to change the direction of this war.
some people think that the war is over. others believe it's only begun.
that's up to you to decide but one thing is for sure:
it's dark and it's cold and london is bleeding.
