welcome!
a war has been brewing since the dawn of time. vampire v. mortal. it had been detained when the offspring of the first vampire dethroned their queen. time passed, the war quelled to a time of mild peace but all that has changed, now.
after the defeat of lilith and the hunters, the city has found itself in the middle of a new war. with one enemy gone, the vampires seem to be facing an old enemy - the werewolves. caught in the middle of all of this? the shape shifters. they're being forced to pick sides or risk becoming just like the mortals the wolves and leeches hunt.
which side will you choose? can the war be won or will the world fall to a reign of darkness and blood? choose now or fall with the weak.

Time and lives moved too quickly for him, anymore. He had given up trying to keep up with the years after the first five decades and, then, he went on to judging it by the empires and reign of leaders. First, in Czars, then by dictators, presidents, and prime ministers. It was an endless cycle of mortal ruler after mortal ruler. What they needed was to place an immortal in power and leave it that way. There were be far more consistency that way. The only way power would be lost and something would disrupt the flow of the on goings of the nation was death of the leader and that could only happen if someone killed them. It might not be the best way to do things - given that some might insist that the leader wasn't fit to lead for whatever - but it would assure that there wouldn't be massive upheavals in the government every two to ten years. It was something worth trying out, at least. For the first twenty years of his time as a vampire, things had seemed to pass without incident. He never got sick, his appearance never changed but those were small things that he had been able to cope with. Once he started to realize that his friends had begun to show signs of aging and having children, he began to realize that he would never have those things. He had attempted to deal with it and accept such things for a while before he had been unable to bear the thought and knew that he had to move on before they figured out what he was. He was still playing the part of the young, foolish fledgling but he had a few tricks to keep him going and alive until he realized just how harsh that life was and the true test of time came upon him. He wondered if he would ever survive that. Would he be able to live past his years and survive like this one or like Lazarus? Did he even want to? What was the point in it? They both seemed rather lonely in their existence and Sasha already had enough of being lonely.
Sasha looked over at the man but didn't say anything. In his three hundred years, he had picked up on a thing or two. He didn't think it was possible to remain ignorant while living or so long but there were those out there who would prove him. He thought over what the man said and what he'd heard about the beings of stars. "So... what would that mean in terms of the black hole. Would that have an effect on the earth." It really did interest him. He knew he wouldn't live to see things go that far but he could try and speculate. The end of the world intrigued him and made him ever so curious. He preferred to be a little ignorant of some things, though. It was easier for him to still believe in magic and wonder. With science and technology pulling away the shrouds of ignorance, there was only so much wonder left in the world. People did not find horror in what had once been terrifying without the gore and they were not so willing to be awed by simple displays of things such as fireworks and the Northern Lights. It was a shame and he missed the days of ignorance and mysticism. True, the world had been easier to deceive in those days but science had its own ways of deceptions. He refused to even bother with a computer! The internet was the worst thing to have happened to this world and mankind would pay the price for that before long.
He chuckled and shook his head. "Always with the women, huh?" He had also been turned by a woman and he was fairly sure that there were plenty of others who could say the same. Women of beauty, luring men into their homes to trick them into their deaths. Men had probably held the same power over many young females before turning them. Their beauty and promises were some of the best weapons that they had for them. "I would think of it as a blessing and a curse. Truly, man, you are probably the smartest being on the planet. Think of all that you could have accomplished in your time if you hadn't been trapped there but read your books amongst the rest of the world. Live might have been saved, others destroyed... Of course, you were not able to do those things and, thus, the curse." Not that Sasha was holding it against him or felt one way or the other. It wasn't that at all, merely a thought he'd had. The way he spoke of her, it was almost as if he didn't know... Sasha had his own feelings about that topic so he figured that he would leave her resurrection alone but he would love to find out his view on her. He seemed to be a neutral party in the matter. "I do. I'm staying with him, as it is."
