welcome!
a war has been brewing since the dawn of time. vampire v. mortal. it had been detained when the offspring of the first vampire dethroned their queen. time passed, the war quelled to a time of mild peace but all that has changed, now.
after the defeat of lilith and the hunters, the city has found itself in the middle of a new war. with one enemy gone, the vampires seem to be facing an old enemy - the werewolves. caught in the middle of all of this? the shape shifters. they're being forced to pick sides or risk becoming just like the mortals the wolves and leeches hunt.
which side will you choose? can the war be won or will the world fall to a reign of darkness and blood? choose now or fall with the weak.

the history She was born into a hunter family when the hunters were strong and their numbers many. Born into a family that came from a long line of hunters, Galya was raised from the beginning to know that no matter where her life would take her or what else she may want, she would be a hunter first. So with this family history comes a certain amount of pride and arrogance. She knows that despite the new world order with the vampires seemingly on top that the Fairchild’s still hold a significant place in the scheme of things. She believes that she is better than any self-made hunter; they don’t have the knowledge, the weaponry or the history that the hunter families have with the creatures of ‘myth’. The rogues don’t have the discipline either. Galya was brought up to know her place, her duties and just who her enemies are, she’s not about to let any of that slip for a moment of weakness.
the skills Raised from a young age to do just this, Galya knows how to handle herself out there. She realizes that at night is when you have to do your recon, using her stealth to get into a place where she can track her monster, learning its habits and routines. Where it spends its sleeping hours, favourite hunting grounds, favourite cuisine. She knows that the best and safest time to hunt is at the creature’s weakest hours. For vampires that means daylight, for werewolves, days farthest away from the full moon. For shifters, when they are in human form or a weak animal form. And she doesn’t let distractions get in the way. That means she prefers to hunt alone, not with others. If it is necessary for her to be with a partner she needs to be in command and if it comes down to it, will leave that partner behind in order to complete the job or save herself. One hunter alive is better than two dead.
the passion This may have been a lifestyle thrust upon her because of birth, but don’t feel sorry for Galya, she would have nothing else. She loves it, finding it both amusing, entertaining and exhilarating. She takes it absolutely serious and always gets her kill when it is possible, but she takes pleasure in the hunt. Takes pleasure in it in such a way that it almost appears to be a game to her, something she toys around with and treats carelessly. This is not the case, it is merely that this is her life and she likes to enjoy herself. Plus, there is something enthralling about the hunt and the kill. About knowing that you’ve caught one of those beasts in your grasp and you’ve been able to take it out. To save another human life from being taken. Galya throws her all into the hunt, willing to do whatever it takes. She can be somewhat careless with her own safety, or so it would seem. She’s watchful and confident in her skills is all, and so she takes her fun in it when she can, and lives her life to the fullest. After all, you really don’t know what it might be all over, might as well live for this moment.
The Woman
the temper She doesn’t like to be crossed, not in love, not in life, and not in the hunt. If you’ve done her wrong be prepared to suffer some form of humiliation, retaliation or death in return. If she’s been outsmarted by a vampire or wolf that means that anther human will die and she’s failed. That pisses her off and tends to lead to a lot of extra target practice or swinging her katana until her arms go numb. Her temper can be quickly risen and somewhat surprising. She’s a bit loud and makes no secret of her anger, she has no fear in yelling at you, or at least angrily telling you to your face what you’ve done. At times it can be a bit misplaced or at the most inappropriate times. But she doesn’t care. Galya has been known to pull knives on people she’s felt cheated by, and once scared a boyfriend into peeing himself in front of his friends.
the persona If she were a man, she’d be a man’s man. But as a woman, and with a mother who had her feminine ways despite her hunter side, Galya is a strange mix. She’s most comfortable in a pair of pants, boots, and a tank top with a jacket hiding all her weapons. She doesn’t pride herself in shoes and jewels, but in her newest weapon and her hollow point silver bullets. She strives for muscle tone and agility rather than the latest hairstyle or perfect make-up. Along with this is her somewhat loud and less than classy behaviour. However, when the time calls for it, she is capable of cleaning up well and looking the part of the lady. This would be her mother’s doing, making sure that her rather boyish daughter could also fulfil her spot as a Fairchild huntress by looking the part of a classy lady. She’s bound to say or do something to prove that she’s anything but a lady, but she can at least look the part.
the future She doesn’t plan for the future. Mostly she sees only hunting. Hunting until the filth of the earth are gone and it’s finally safe for children to play outside. Perhaps then she can settle down and start a family, she’s certainly not opposed to the idea. She may not be feminine but she’s not afraid of babies, nor is she awkward with them. She’s just not super gentle. If there is any plans in her near future it is to find out what’s going on in London, and if need be, set up a new base of operations for the Helsing Organization. If the vampires are truly in control, than whatever hunters are out there need to regroup and set up a plan of action. As far as men go, she’s not opposed to sharing her bed when the passion strikes, but she’s too busy right now to think about settling down, unless it was a man who didn’t mind being uprooted a lot.

history • Beneath the power and prowess of the Helsing Organization is the Payne House recognized amongst their kind for stealth and tactical accuracy. Under the umbrella of Payne there is the Fairchild branch, a family of hunters credited with precision and a high kill rate. This was the family that Arabella Fairchild grew up in and she followed suit gaining her rights as a hunter on her sixteenth birthday. Arabella was twenty-two when she met and married Maxim Ulyanov, a rogue hunter from Russia. Though the Fairchild’s were somewhat of a snooty family and didn’t regard their daughter marrying outside one of the great hunter families with much pleasure, they consented to the union. Arabella and Maxim worked well as a team and the Fairchild’s never again regretted their decision to allow Arabella to marry him. In 1984, after seven years of marriage Arabella realized she was pregnant and sat out the next seven months until a baby girl joined the duo. Galina Maximovna did not appear to be exceptionally brilliant, nor did she appear to develop any faster than a baby was supposed to. However she was a happy infant. Arabella didn’t wait long before she was back on the streets hunting and Galya was left in the well experienced hands of a nanny.
Galya was not lonely or unloved. Her mother still took the time to sing to her at night and her father told her bed time stories when he was not on recon, but there were many days and many hours when Galya knew her parents had more, desperately important things to take care of rather than kissing her most recent boo-boo. However she had plenty of other ‘cousins’ within the family branches and a tight knit group to make sure that she was cared for. In 1991, with the end of the Cold War and the final fall of the iron curtain things changed for the family. Since the end of the second world war in 1945 and ideological and physical boundaries had gone up, the Helsing Organization’s footing in Russia had not been firm and so the task of establishing a Russian unit was given to the Ulyanovs. Arabella and Maxim succeeded in re-establishing contact with the Russian government and set up a new base of operations. Intel was collected, demographics on supernatural occupancy were totalled and prospective new hunters were plucked from military groups to be schooled in the paranormal and trained on how to kill and survive. With limited means and not nearly as much funding as the Organization had in England, the Ulyanovs’ operation was small and more basic. But swift and efficient. Both Arabella and Maxim knew what they were about and their hunters were well oiled machines.
Galina’s life was now more isolated as she was packed up and moved across the continent. Without other hunter families there were no longer as many ‘safe’ children for her to play with. But that was okay, because at the age of six her training had already begun. She was the only Fairchild child born and so she had a lot to live up to and to uphold. Galina was taught all the things that a little huntress must learn and spent a great deal of her time at the training base for the new recruits. Her best friends were the nurse kept on retainer and the man in charge of the databases. It might seem like a bleak and lonely childhood for a young girl, but she was being raised as a hunter. She needed to know how to survive on her own, to not buckle under pressure or falter out of fear. The life of a hunter can be a lonely one, and certainly a deadly one. Her first kill was a werewolf. There had been an obscene number of reported deaths due to wolves in Siberia that year, and so Galina had gone, tracking the pack that seemed to be preying on a specific town. It was werewolves and not wolves, of course. She’d been accompanied by her father and a few of his men, but she’d chosen her specific prey herself, and she’d hunted him alone. He’d been a wolf who had chosen children as his main course and that didn’t sit well with Galya. She’d found him in human form in his home, but she hadn’t faltered in the slaying. All she’d needed was to picture the children and her silver bullet met its target. One between his eyes and one straight through the heart, a killing style that would become a signature move for her.
Galina has spent the last nine years living as a hunter. She does pretty much nothing else, living for the thrill of the hunt. Her father has passed away three years ago, killed by a vampire, but her mother still lives proud and strong, the Fairchild matriarch leading operations in Russia. Though born in England, Galya had enough of her father in her to love Russia and to be perfectly happy and content to spend her days there. However, word travels and news of London’s fall to the vampires has reached their small branch. With the realization that the Organization no longer holds control, decisions must be made. And so, Arabella Fairchild-Ulyanova has made the choice to send her one and only child, the last remaining piece of her deceased husband to see what is truly going on in England. Galina has been burdened with the responsibility of finding out who remains in the city for hunters, what control does the Organization hold, if any, and what vampires are at the top. They aren’t yet aware of the uprising of the werewolves to this more populated sector but they soon will be.
She has recently landed in London and so far finds it eerily quiet. She doesn’t trust the peace that seems to be settled about the streets. It has that feel of the calm before the storm, and she’s waiting to hear thunder claps.
