welcome!
a war has been brewing since the dawn of time. vampire v. mortal. it had been detained when the offspring of the first vampire dethroned their queen. time passed, the war quelled to a time of mild peace but all that has changed, now.
after the defeat of lilith and the hunters, the city has found itself in the middle of a new war. with one enemy gone, the vampires seem to be facing an old enemy - the werewolves. caught in the middle of all of this? the shape shifters. they're being forced to pick sides or risk becoming just like the mortals the wolves and leeches hunt.
which side will you choose? can the war be won or will the world fall to a reign of darkness and blood? choose now or fall with the weak.

alright, so, i'm going to start off by saying that there are a few things that should be simple to understand and those are that there are some rules that happen on EVERY board out there. the respect, godmodding, etc. you break what i call the "no duh" rules and you're going to be in even more trouble than breaking the ones i actually have to list.
registering ``!register with a FIRST, MIDDLE, and LAST name in LOWER CASE. if you've got a reason for not having a middle name [cultural or just because your parents didn't feel like giving you one] that's fine but you will need to explain that in the bio. russian names - register properly or don't even bother registering.
``!not so much a rule as a suggestion - if you're not done with your app but still want to post it, post it in code or the tags will screw up. ugly tags make for an ugly app which will keep you from getting accepted.
``!when registering, do so with an email you check, regularly. we'll send messages through email. you need to be able to get these emails.
``!we're not telling you that you HAVE to have a gender ratio but, if we see to many of one type of gender or too many of a specific race, we might cap them until we even things out.
``!if you cannot be seen, you will be banned. anonymous members are not allowed. sorry. after joining ``!respect others. yeah, this should be a no duh but, when i say respect, i mean it. don't push people into posting, don't discriminate, don't harass, don't... just don't. if you break this one, it's worth a banning so, yeah, i'm including it in the list.
``!we're an r+ board. anything goes but try not to post smut all the time and warn people. we're not telling you that you have to be a certain age in order to join but we'd like a warning about the threads so that our younger or more... 'pure' members don't have to see the darker side to life.
``!let's not go too crazy, here. no BORING people and no OVERLY done, either. don't make them perfect, don't make them so shy that they won't bother with people on the board, don't make them freaking geniuses who can find a cure for cancer or victims of abuse that would have animals committing suicide from the depression you've put your character in. it's not a real life board but let's make them SOMEWHAT normal.
``!come to usssss! if you need anything, we're not a monsters, promise. we only bite if you want us to. if you need to talk about something, shoot one of us a PM and we'll work things out. anything, we don't mind.
``!when posting, try to do your best. give us something to reply to. no one liners, puleeze! even one paragraph would be pushing it but we don't have a post limit so, really, it's whatever. just try to give us something more than five sentences.
``!graphics are a must. no graphics = no go. even if it's not a picture of your person's face, they still need a picture of something. signatures can be no bigger than 600x300, this includes text. if it's too big, we'll ask you to change it. if you don't, we'll change it.
``!going with that, we, here, love our faces. we PREFER that you have one. doesn't have to be a celebrity but someone with decent shots. if you can't deal with this, it might be best to find another home as many of our members consider this a must have. we're not saying don't join because that's just stupid, just saying that it's preferred and that we know that some people will be less inclined to play without a visual representation of the person you create.
``!just like keeping an eye on your email inbox, keep one on the OOC forums, too. we do A LOT of messaging to the community there. if you miss something, you fail. as it's in the rules, you now have been warned. depending on how we feel, you might get a third strike but we're not promising anything.
``!character deaths and pregnancies MUST be run by at least TWO of the admins before you can do it.
``!the away forum is your friend. if you're gone for more than a week without notice and the activity check rolls around and you say you're active, you will still lose that account. is it really that hard to go "hey guys, busy, can't post. be back [insert estimated time, here]"? really, it's not.
``!um... if we tell you to have fun, does that make you not like it since it's a rule? specifics for the board so, there are a few things that are going to be added to this that relate to IC play...
``!in order to have a pet, you need to have a prior account on the board and a registered master for them.
``!if you want your mortal to be a vampire, you must let an admin know so that we can move your information to the proper forums. wolves and hunters cannot be turned.
``!know that vampires are not going to be caught dating wolves or hunters. wolves aren't going to be doing it, either. these three groups are all enemies to each one another. not happening, sorry. if we make an exception for one, we'd have to do it for all and it's not fair.
