welcome!

a war has been brewing since the dawn of time. vampire v. mortal. it had been detained when the offspring of the first vampire dethroned their queen. time passed, the war quelled to a time of mild peace but all that has changed, now.

after the defeat of lilith and the hunters, the city has found itself in the middle of a new war. with one enemy gone, the vampires seem to be facing an old enemy - the werewolves. caught in the middle of all of this? the shape shifters. they're being forced to pick sides or risk becoming just like the mortals the wolves and leeches hunt.

which side will you choose? can the war be won or will the world fall to a reign of darkness and blood? choose now or fall with the weak.

Lili giggled at him and gave his shoulder a light pat. "And you're doing a lovely job of it, lad Lovely." She tried to keep her tone condescending and patronizing but it just wasn't working for the giggling that wouldn't stop. She couldn't explain it but this was exactly what she needed. Lazarus had always called her his sun... Lili had always thought that her light was dying for all of the effort she put into illuminating the darkness but, now, she felt recharged. She was happy and her spirits were lifted and it was all thanks to a day on the beach with Garrett. Lili nodded with a solemn expression on her face. "Right, well... Let me know when you do and we'll try it out together. Capice?" Lili tried to picture an octopus in an operating room and nodded. "Very true. You wouldn't need as many people in there with you, either. They could be off helping others! Too bad octopi need water to breathe and you can't do surgery underwater..." She was teasing, honest!

She gave a soft, playful shrug. She kind of was, wasn't she? She lived with vampires! She had the chance to lose herself in this country and go far away during the day to a place where she thought he'd never look for her and, yet, Lili couldn't just leave Laz like that. So, yeah, she was a freak. Still, some people were able to look past that and accept her for what else she had in her so she wasn't about to complain about any of it. "Mhm... Poor dear probably had bruises for weeks," she teased. Lili poked at his shoulder and rolled her eyes at his promise. "Better not." Of course, if she got burned and Lazarus found out, he'd keep her from the sun until she was healed and insist on putting whatever balm on her that would ease the pain... So, really, the best plan was to keep from getting sunburned above all other things.

"It's a hard life to live," she sighed, "I really don't think you're man enough to handle it. But it's all right. I like how things work with us." If she really knew just how much she got out of him for just being herself, she probably would have backed off. She didn't want to take advantage of him and that seemed to be exactly what she was doing to him! It was best if she never knew. She was daft. That had to be the only explanation for what was going on at this very minute. She was losing her mind and willingly kissing this mortal boy while Lazarus was asleep. It was good that he was holding her because she didn't think that she would have been able to support herself against the water, anymore. Everything in her head was going blank and being replaced by brilliant color and she felt the adrenaline pumping through her body and she felt like pure Jell-O for it. Smiling at his words, Lili came to hug him again, her cheek pressed against his while her arms wrapped around his shoulders and she whispered into his ear. "Then don't let me go."

He simply shook his head at her patronizing, knowing she was only doing it in a playful manner, not to be truly mean. At least he didn’t think so. He made a decent bodyguard... Right? If only he knew what all this day was doing for her, because he knew what it was doing for him. To be like this with Lili was a great gift and he certainly wasn’t about to take it for granted. Deep down he wished that he could introduce her to his mother and sister, that they could get to know the woman that Liliana was. And he wanted them to be a part of her life as well, wanted for her to know what it was like to have the love and guidance of a mother, and the support and friendship of a true sister. She deserved to have happy family all around her, to have every holiday to celebrate and more things to be thankful then she could even remember. ”Capice.” He grinned over at her and her attempt to continue to be mobster. It was cute. He pouted as she brought up the water bit. ”Now you’re squashing my dreams too? How cruel!” He kept the pout on his face, warm brown eyes looking over at her. Lifting his hands to shield his face from view he gave her a puppy face, quite literally, he transformed his face into that of a dog only to quickly replace it with his own features.

He rolled his eyes at her. ”Of course, you would take Tarin’s side. As if she didn’t already have everyone else in her corner.” He leaned back a little on his hands and shook his head. He’d done his fair share of older brother picking, teasing her and annoying her as only an older brother can. But for the most part the Jamison siblings had gotten along quite well. Their bond had only strengthened with the loss of their father. Luckily they’d had each other and their mother to lean on as the three of them got through the tragedy. He lifted his hand. ”Scout’s honour.”

”Not man enough... or too manly to live that life?” He asked her, smirking proudly as if to say that he was sure the latter. Of course they both knew that though he had his boyish charms and was undeniably male, he wasn’t exactly your rough, gruff manly type. She wasn’t taking advantage of him at al. Gar only gave exactly what he wanted to give, and if he could make her happy in even the least of ways that made him happy for days. What they were doing was beyond dangerous considering who her master was and who he worked for, but he couldn’t stop himself. This was what he had wanted to do since the day he had seen her in that restaurant being one of the loveliest creatures he had ever laid eyes on. And to have her kiss him back only stole his breath away and made it that much harder to pull back. As she pressed tightly to him, hugging him, Gar’s arm wound more tightly around her lower waist and he pressed his cheek right back. Her words warmed his heart and he pressed a kiss to her shoulder. ”Never, ever.” He responded. He would hold and care for her until the end of time if she only let him. He would do so much more if given the opportunity.
