welcome!
a war has been brewing since the dawn of time. vampire v. mortal. it had been detained when the offspring of the first vampire dethroned their queen. time passed, the war quelled to a time of mild peace but all that has changed, now.
after the defeat of lilith and the hunters, the city has found itself in the middle of a new war. with one enemy gone, the vampires seem to be facing an old enemy - the werewolves. caught in the middle of all of this? the shape shifters. they're being forced to pick sides or risk becoming just like the mortals the wolves and leeches hunt.
which side will you choose? can the war be won or will the world fall to a reign of darkness and blood? choose now or fall with the weak.

Svetlana was like a Venus fly trap. She drew men in by this supposed sweet nature and drew them in until she could finally clamp down on them and devour them. She was an expert at concealing her true intentions and drawing men in. Lucien was unable to even imagine what Svetlana had planned or was going to do. He was naive in the ways of women and had hardly ever been with one. He was amused by her. In all honesty he thought her manner of dress was odd. It was all designer brands and seemed almost customized to frame her perfectly. Why was someone as fabulous and extravagant as her talking to someone as simply dressed as Lucien. He was wearing random clothes that he had gotten a while back. He had no real reason to buy anymore clothes, he never grew any taller and he never got fatter. He never thought about money or buying extra things. Lucien's cruel, murderous nature hid itself with ease. He showed no hints of strength or of murderous tendencies, the only ones that he could not fool were other vampires. They knew right off the bat that he was old and could be perhaps a bit murderous. Svetlana would probably grow bored of Lucien and his clumsiness as soon as she milked his wallet for all it's worth. To him it never seemed like Svetlana was hiding anything, she deserved an Oscar.
Lucien felt a surge of embarrassment, how could he lose control of his own feet and crush this girl's toes. "You imbecile! You can't even control your own feet, how the hell can you expect to not fail miserably?" he thought. "I'm so so so sorry..." when she covered her mouth and looked down he thought she was going to cry. He felt a surge of panic come up in him. What was he supposed to do? Much to his relief she was alright and ok. He had no idea how to deal with women and how to comfort them. Knowing him he'd probably say something about tear ducts. He was relieved that she did not seem upset or angry. He looked around frantically trying to think of a way to make it up to her. He saw out of the corner of his eye a rose growing on a vine curling up the side of the gazebo. He reached over and plucked it handing it to her nervously. He blushed nervously his fiery red hair matching his cheeks perfectly. His green eyes showed hints of nervous awkwardness. He could not believe that he had just done that. He was so clumsy and so odd. He felt odd and sort of bizarre.
He looked down at Svetlana blushing nervously. He could not resist. He smiled down at her. "Of course I would love to." he said smiling at her. "Can we stay closer to the street...I don't want to trip over any roots and look like even more of an imbecile." he said staring over at her. The direction they were heading was near the downtown area with all the shops and such. Things that didn't really interest Lucien. He was making a critical mistake that would possibly haunt him in the near future. He was leading her towards somewhere she wanted to be, somewhere it would be even easier to manipulate him.

Yes, she was much like the deceptive Venus fly trap except that it wasn’t always with sweetness that she drew the men in. It depended entirely on the man. Yes, for Sasha she was using a kind and caring nature, for Lucien sweetness and gentleness, had this been Jacoby she was attempting to get something out of? Nothing but raw, undiluted seduction would be of use. It was about knowing what the men around you wanted and then playing to those needs. Of course, it helped that she’d had nearly two centuries of practice in tempting and catching men. Ever since she was eighteen she’d known what it meant to please in order to stay alive and later get what you wanted. Now she mostly did it for amusement. Of course her clothes were custom and made to fit her frame like a loving, familiar glove. Men wouldn’t want to sleep with you unless you were using all of your assets to the best of their abilities. In Svetlana’s mind, her best assets was her beauty and body. And so she knew how to dress and enhance them. It was also true that she would grow bored of him as soon as she’d gotten what she wanted, unless of course she thought there was more she could get out. Whether she left him broken and degraded or happy and hopeful when she went on her way rested entirely on mood and whether or not she thought having someone of his strength in her corner was a good thing. She had Jacoby with his nearly 800 years and all of his battle knowledge, but could it hurt to have someone of 1000 years willing to protect her? Sveta liked to have her options. She wasn’t sure exactly who this vampire was since she’d never heard of another old one hanging about, but she planned on getting to know what uses he might be to her.
When he had apologized to her once again, Sveta wanted to lift her head and snarl at him that his sorrys would do no good and she was going to wipe that apologetic look of his face with her nails. However she bit that anger and forced it down leaving it to be taken out on some poor, unsuspecting servant later. Or perhaps she would find a willing participant in some rough, angry sex. With green-grey eyes Svetlana watched Lucien reach for the rose and pluck it from its place. She wanted to scowl at this romantic gesture and inform him she wasn’t in the least impressed by a flower since there wasn’t one ounce of usefulness she could get from this flower. Instead she took it from him, offering him yet another of those bedazzling smiles and lifted the rose to her nose as she sniffed at it daintily. ”Thank you. It’s been a very long time since someone has thought to give me a flower.” Why did he blush so much? Sveta had never seen a vampire who blushed. She was used to cocky, self-assurance and God complexes. Not blushing innocence. It brought far too many dark thoughts and ideas to her sadistic mind.
She could have laughed in triumphant success as he asked if they could take their walk close to the streets. How perfectly did that fall into her plan? She didn’t even have to angle them towards the streets and their many lovely shops. Instead he was giving her exactly the opportunity that she needed. She returned his smile and nodded. ”That’s fine. The shops have lovely displays I like to look at.” Walking with him arm in arm Sveta remained mostly quiet for a little while, occasionally making a comment on something they passed in the street, or something in the window of the shop. She was in the process of asking him when he had come into the city when she spotted an incredibly gorgeous emerald necklace in the window of a jewellery shop. With several emeralds and diamonds surrounding each in their setting she could tell it was worth a small mint. She let out a soft gasp of shock, eyes widening in amazement and awe, lips parting in their gasp of delight. The look on her face was one of wonderment and desire with the knowledge that you may never have. Her hand tightened on his arm and she looked up to him, face tilted up to him as her eyes sparkled with a dreamy sort of pleasure. ”Oh!” She fairly breathed. ”Isn’t that the most beautiful thing you’ve ever set eyes on?’ She asked, turning to look at it once more having brought them to a halt. Her hand rose up to press to the window pane beside the necklace as she gazed in at it. ”That, is fit for a queen.” She let out a little, sad, forlorn sigh letting her hand drop away from the window. She looked back to Lucien, tipping her head up once again so that her gaze could meet his. She smiled up at him with all the beauty that she could muster, but left the look of wanting within her eyes with sad resignation of the unattainable. Inside she preened with malicious humour, wondering how long it would take.

Lucien played easily into her trap. He didn't think of himself as strong or exceptionally attractive. He believed her expert game and fell for her poker face. Lucien wasn't used to being manipulated. As far as he knew he had nothing that others would want to toy with. He didn't flaunt his wealth and over the years it had grown. When he logged into his bank account he was surprised by all the numbers and how much it had increased over the years. He hardly ever took anything out, as a matter a fact his credit cards were probably gathering dust. Lucien didn't understand girls needs to show everything and buy the latest things. He thought that brains were the best assets anyone could have. Beauty didn't hurt but it only could go so far. Eventually Lucien would catch onto what was going on. This charade could not last forever. Lucien never gave himself credit but he was physically stronger then a those younger then him. His vision was above perfect, he knew battle tactics and formations from his studying and he knew where to hit and how to hurt. Sveta had it good. She could play him like a violin. She knew how to act to make men swoon. However Lucien would disappear the second he found out how evil and manipulative she was. He was bound to find out eventually and he'd move on quickly. He valued intelligence and after a while Lucien would be able to look past her physical beauty and he'd wonder if she was smart or not. He needed someone who could stimulate his brain and who enjoyed lots of thinking. He wanted a girl who was his intellectual equal, okay, maybe that was a bit far fetched but he wanted a girl who was smart and capable of thinking complex thoughts and understanding a few ideas. He liked nice girls but could not deal with one who he could not have a nice conversation with.
He felt incredibly guilty for stepping on her foot and possibly hurting her. Not only was he shy but he was beyond clumsy and ashamed of that. How did he end up being like this. He was older then everyone else yet he could barely use his legs. "You're welcome..." he said smiling nervously and blushing. He was extremely insecure when it came to romance and everything else. He was not very social. Lucien was very innocent. Extremely innocent. Despite living for nearly a thousand years he had very little experience with that sort of thing having only done it three times. Regretting it all afterward and avoiding it all together. It wasn't that he was against it. It was just that he always regretted it later.
He looked around curiously amused by the lights. He didn't come downtown often, there was no need to. He looked over at her, she was fulled with youth, wonderment and innocence. Or at least that's what he thought. Material items and wealth did not amuse him in the least bit. Suddenly she stopped and he looked over at her curiously tilting her head to the side. When she moved he could clearly see what it was. It was interesting, as far as he was concerned they were just shiny rocks. He never understood why women liked them. He tilted his head to the side. "Well...you're a lot prettier then shiny rocks...." he said looking at them, they were not really that pretty. Then again what Lucien found beautiful others considered odd. He debated for a moment. If he got her something she liked perhaps she'd like him a bit more and forget how clumsy and stupid he could be. She obviously thought it was pretty so it couldn't hurt besides his bank account was bulging. His thought process was a bit odd. "It's not that expensive, mine as well," he said smiling nervously hoping he didn't do something stupid again. He held the door open for her and walked in curiously looking around. They were surrounded by gems. As soon as they got in all he could think about where the blood diamonds in Africa and how people had probably died in order to get them. He ignored the thought and followed Sveta. He found his credit card among the mass amount of stray paper in his pockets. He looked over at her curiously wondering what she was going to choose. Nothing here was going to cause him problems, he had a lot more money then he realized.
