We are a Harry Potter-based, post-book game set in the present day. Lord Voldemort has been defeated and the wizarding world is back to business as usual, and business as usual for thousands of underaged wizards and witches world-wide means skipping school, drinking, cheating, stealing, and fighting. Play as an inmate, a marshal, or one of the creatures native to the island.
Welcome to Furiae Correctional Facility, the only international institution that will whoop your children so you don't have to.

Assignments Ministry regulations for student education include fulfilling certain class requirements and landmarks. If they've bothered to do them, inmates can turn in their class assignments for marks here. Homework assignments are optional and made available for those who enjoy world building.

Hallways Cold corridors of stone set the stage for many interactions in the facility, good and bad. Torches in iron holders light the way.

Warden's Office The cold office is not guarded only by its heavy door. Dozens of intertwined wards and curses await anyone foolish enough to enter without the Warden's permission. Inside are wands, inmates' files, staff pay records, and generally anything else anyone badly wants to get their grubby little paws on. This is also where the Warden meets new arrivals.

Chow Hall The large mess hall hosts long wooden tables and hard-backed chairs. Meals are adequate if basic. Serving dishes appear on the tables at 0700, 1200, and 1700 and stay for an hour each, and inmates and staff come and go as they please. The mess hall often serves as a meeting hall, and its double-doors are rarely locked.

Storage Room One of many throughout the facility, this one is often often used as an inmate meeting room or hideout due to one's ability to easily jimmy its locked door open with a spoon. While the room is large, its interior is cramped with dozens of items packed into boxes and then forgotten. Most everything has been gone through already, the best items squirreled out by inmates long ago.

The Barracks Three uniform cold stone halls are where inmates come to relax and sleep. Each barracks is lined with two rows of identical, metal-framed beds, with wooden chests (no locks) at the foot of each one to store issued gear.

Faculty Lounge and Quarters The large room is furnished with plush couches, stuffed chairs, coffee, tables, books in good quality, games, and anything else a marshal might need to get away from it all. Its stone floor has a centered red, round rug with the prison's crest. There is a hallway that leads to smaller, individual rooms where some staff take up residence. They are simple, equipped with a single bed, a night stand, and a dresser. Many faculty members choose to sleep elsewhere.

Lavatory and Washroom The joint washroom is co-ed and one of the few of its kind. Inside are two tiled rooms for public showers, a third where there are four toilet stalls (frequently graffitied), a row of sinks, a long mirror, and three deep, stone basins along one wall (one or two usually broken) which inmates use to wash laundry. The temperature of the water is unreliable at best, but the nice thing is that marshals usually don't come in here.

Athenaeum The expensive hall is a place for inmates to come study, work on essays, or read, although the remaining books are slim-pickings and largely non-fiction: vandalized textbooks, out-of-date histories, and tombs of charms with pages missing are just a few of the dilapidated selection. With no librarian, books are stolen on a daily basis and never return; they are replenished infrequently by outside donation. Along with bookcases, there are tables and chairs to work at. The floor is cold stone, and the walls are set with dozens of low-hanging torches.

Arts and Crafts Room Once used by the former mental institution for creative rehabilitation, the room still has crafts in it, but it's been transformed into a Charmer's fantasy: the tables, counters, walls, parts of the floor, and shelving are packed with enchanted items in varying stages of completeness and success. Scorch marks and debris tell the tales of failure.

Infirmary Kept generally clean, the infirmary has a sterile, almost heartless feel to it. The walls are an off-white with a strip of red paint running horizontally around the room mid-way up. Beds for those who need to stay overnight are covered with crisp, white sheets and cotton blankets. Cupboards which are rarely locked contain bandages, wraps, and dozens of potions and their ingredients, and they along with counters line the walls in the back.

Theurasterium In the deepest corridor, far under the belly of the facility, through a twisting maze of passages where few have entered and returned again is a stone chamber. Inside are half finished inventions, bubbling vials, and all manner of strange and wonderful things. Here the inmates are pushed to the limits of their abilities, and you never know if you will be praised or scorned for your efforts.

Psychologist's Office Down in the cool sublevels of the facility sits the tiny office of Astrid, the school psychologist. People with appointments or who just want to talk are welcome to knock anytime! The room is usually warm and cheery with a fire going and hearth occupied by a small black and white cat. Two overstuffed chairs sit in the cozy room, and tea and cookies are always available to those who want them!

Werewolf Safe Room Here, in the deepest room in the facility, the werewolves come to stay during the full moon. The only light inside is the one from a round window in the ceiling that lets in the moonlight. The walls, reinforced with silver rods, are covered in thick steel manacles. The door is warded to be unopenable from the inside. Every surface is covered in scratches and old dried blood, a testament to the many moons the werewolves spend here. Off to the side is a small room where observers may watch the wolves fight and transform, safe behind warded glass.

Courtyard The wide, red cobblestone courtyard is surrounded on three sides by the high, stone walls of the facility. Windows look out into the courtyard (there is almost always at least one broken and in need of repair), and a single, large door is set in the western wall, opening into one of the prison's many corridors. To the east, a dirt and gravel path crosses the plains to the river and forest in the distance. This is where the Portkeys all marshals have are targeted, so it is the first thing that new inmates see.

Belfry A large bell tower rises high above the facility, its enormous bronze bell sounding out the hour in solemn tones. An archway and oak door let one in to the round structure, where wooden stairs spiral up to the top floor. The stairs are rickety, not connected with each other, occasionally broken or rotted, and do not feature a guard rail. Torches flicker on the walls, casting flickering shadows over the cold, stone floor.

Greenhouse Four The enormous glass greenhouse is filled with rows of hundreds of different plants. They grow in lines in patches on the ground, they are potted along the sides and center of the areas or set on top of tables and counters, they hang from the ceiling. More overgrown like a tangled forest than a neatly kept garden, the greenhouse contains plants of all sorts of magical and Muggle uses, and are anywhere from extremely dangerous to mundane. Its glass is enhanced with Unbreakable Charms, but even so a few panes have been shattered. A brass number 4 is set on the door. The piles of rubble nearby suggest the fates of the previous three.

A Pair of Cottages Out past the greenhouses toward the forest are a pair of cottages, built side-by-side. Two small placards label one as Marshal Gottschalk and the other Marshal De Luca. While one was once in disarray, it has now been fixed up nicely and the other was recently constructed.

Weeping Woods Thick and tangled forest, dark trees, scratching brush, and sharp thorns await anyone braving the untamed forest that occupies half of the island. The ground is thick with needles, and the air smells of wet earth and decaying leaves. The occasional pile of scat or gnawed bones is a firm reminder that this forest is home to more than just plants.

Fiver Village When the wizards who inhabited this island long ago left, they abandoned the werewolves who had been with them. This village is considered their sacred ground, a safe-zone where members from even warring packs can meet in neutrality, and where independents who have not chosen to live in a pack reside. The village is built throughout uncleared forest and housing is mostly simple: huts with grass roofing or simple shacks, as much of it gets destroyed with the rise of the full moon. Bear in mind the neutrality of the village is an olive branch extended to werewolves only; other races would do well to stay far away.

Tunnels Underground A maze of caverns and tunnels begins in the thick forest and winds under the island. The caves are mostly narrow tunnels, carved out by water and - in some places - by what appears to be tools. There are several larger caverns, and some show signs of inhabitation by unknown creatures. Who knows what one will find within the dark caves.

The River A single, long, winding river bubbles up from an underground spring midway through the island. It winds its way through the wilderness, in some places with steep banks and narrow, rapid water, and in other places lazy and wide. Fish can be seen splashing, their fins glittering under the water, which is clean enough to be drinkable straight from the source. The river eventually feeds into the sea.

Commit a Crime Somewhere in the world, right now, an underage wizard is about to do something that's going to buy him or her a ticket to Furiae. Post in here if you want to play out your crime, capture, and trial, and someone will be along to roleplay an NPC Auror.

Worldwide All of the world, everywhere and anywhere. If you're a marshal, your passworded portkeys let you travel to over a hundred different locations world-wide and you can Apparate to the rest. If you're an inmate, you're very lucky to be here.
