Title: Teacher from hell part III
Description: [class]
Elina Demiov - June 17, 2011 02:23 AM (GMT)
She was not happy why was Elina Deminov not happy well that was her own business maybe she woke up on the wrong side of the bed today who knew in any case she was not a happy camper. To top it all off she was having class today oh the joys of teaching little delinquents how to be more none conforming to the general populace.
Drumming her fingers on the side of her leg she had chosen to hold today’s lesson in her usual place the library but instead of the normal books or lack there of the place had been cleared out of anything study wise and had weapons and the like in their place. When the inmates finally decided to show up she looked at each of them in turn.
”It’s a refresher today and for those of you that have not been in my class before pay attention to what I am about to say.” the clearly Russian woman said in a very bored yet almost pissed off tone ”I am not here to hold your god damn hand it is my job to see that you have basic knowledge of the human body and its workings. I do not like babies in this class you want someone to cuddle you then you should have thought twice before leaving your mothers for this charming place. Now the goal is to make sure you live however I am not a healer even if I know how so should you screw up the body bags are over in the corner do us all a favor and clean up your mess”
Now pacing around them in an annoyed way when a girl ( NPC) came in late she glared time waster that one”You will not need your wands so keep them up you been warned now for those of you I do not know I require your names and current level after that pair yourselves up with someone”
Dorian Rosier - June 17, 2011 02:43 AM (GMT)
Dorian stood in the library-or rather what had been the library last time he'd checked- with what appeared to be PsychoRussian standing before him. HE was happy none the less. He'd be playing with weapons today? If this was true, he was in no matter what he had to go through.
Dorian stood and listened to everything PsychoRussian was saying. He had no clue what her name was so she would remain PsychoRussian in his head until he learned her name... maybe after. When she had finished speaking he thought it would be okay to do what she had asked all new inmates to do. I am Dorian Rosier and I'm at level two. Dorian fell silent again and waited for orders of what he would have to do next. What happened next surprised him... but it still didn't manage to scare him.
Pier Meschelle - June 17, 2011 03:01 AM (GMT)
Pier walked into the library with no real care to be there, she had spent the whole last night up and unable to sleep. She drifted wearily to the middle of the table and sat her bag down glancing over the various objects on the table unfazed, she figured the center was a better place to be then on the ends, the center was just good enough to let her fade into the background of the other inmates. This teacher was always such a spit fire, not always in the best mood that one was. Not that the subject was all that fascinating, the human body. Pfft, this class would be best for those who had hopes of being a healer, which this woman was obviously not, or those who had some sort of medi-witch dream. Not something that was of any interest to Pier what so ever. In fact she was only showing up to give herself something to do. She really needed to keep her mind off other things.
Her black robes bunched close around her as she grabbed parchment and ink, did the woman want her to write out her name and level again or say it out loud. Oh geez, unclear instructions, however would the blue eyed brunette handle that fork in the road. Sure Miss Demiov has seen Pier before but honestly, Pier wasn't that memorable, or at least she tried not to be, the chances anyone really knew her name let alone her level were just extremely farfetched. Wait. Had she just said to pair up with someone? "Pier Meschelle, Miss Demiov, level three." She also wrote it down just for good measure but kept the paper to herself. Who else was going to really write something down? Oh right, probably no one.
Pier glanced around the room and noticed how it was filling quickly... maybe she could just blend in to the walls... maybe there was still time to make a quick escape and not be noticed. Yeah, probably just a little too late for that since she had already opened her mouth. Pier bit the inside of her cheek and looked around again, hmm, maybe someone would just approach her. Most people knew she was a brain so it was easy to just latch onto her. The girl was used to doing most of the heavy lifting in group activities. She fidgeted slightly before pushing her mid length hair into a loose ponytail, still glancing around for someone to pair with.
Raven Rosier - June 17, 2011 03:28 PM (GMT)
Raven sat on top of what one might call a bookshelf if it had any books. She had gotten there much earlier and had decided that it looked like a good place to sit. She might have also seen a rat the size of her shoe. She scooted to the edge and let her short legs hang over the edge.
She nodded and said "Raven Rosier, Level 2." She stuck her tongue out at her brother who had his back to her. She had been a level 3 till he messed up. Not that it mattered. She stuffed her wand in her shirt. She didn't feel like climbing down just yet. Besides, if someone exploded or something she didn't want the gook on her. It would be a pain to get out of her hair.
The body bags seemed a little overdramatic, but she noted where they were. She might stuff Dorian in one. She knew she wasn't going to die from a stupid class but she wondered if anyone would. Might make her feel more badass. She wondered if she was responsible for someones death would she get moved down a level.. or what would happen in general. She shrugged. and drummed her fingers on the bookcase wondering who her partner would be.
Dankut Greaves - June 17, 2011 10:57 PM (GMT)
Dankut lumbered into the library and stood awkwardly amongst the crowd of students, he never seemed to notice the few uncomfortable looks he got from other students who were often bewildered at the half-giants height. He did like the look of what was before him and smiled at the site of weapons, Dankut didn't know much but he did know how to hurt people. He tried to understand what the small lady was saying but he was never good with accents, well he was never really good with sentences.
He sluggishly turned his head trying to decipher what was going on and it took him a couple of minutes to realise that people were telling the small funny voiced lady their names and class. It had actually took Dankut four months to remember what his class was and also to understand what it meant. He looked down upon the funny voiced lady and in his slurred tone of voice he recited what he had been taught. "Dankut.. leh..lehvull one". Dankut's voice was often as slow as his thought patterns and people often founding him frustrating to talk to.
As he waited for something to happen he thought about lunch and how pleasing food was. It was the simple things in life that pleased Dankut and this was how they had gotten him to attend classes. Without an incentive, the incentive being extra food to support his half-giant metabolism, he wouldn't have remembered to go to class. Dankut was useless at remembering things unless food or approval from others was involved. He was a lot like a puppy in that aspect.
Caine Thresher - June 18, 2011 11:48 PM (GMT)
As usual, he stood at the back of the group that had gathered. Hands folded so neatly into the small of his back, even though Demoiv simply seemed so angry, for no reason she would say, Caine looked plesant as he always did. After all, class was class and he attended them as he would, adding useful information if asked of him, aside from that he was quiet. Let the others take their credit, earn their points, raise their levels in the hope of leaving this place. So much misery in these walls...yet he found it soothing. Of course, few would ever know that but he enjoyed his facade.
Caine didn't give his name and level, he'd been here a while, the Marshal probably knew of his presence, maybe even his name but it was of little concern to him. When given the order to pair up his eyes swept over those that were about. Decisions to make here. Of course, one particular stood out to him. His pace was easy as he weaved through the inmates to one in particular. "Mr. Rosier." he addressed the young man formaly, that plesant smile still spread over his face, "Care to pair up for this class? Or would you perfer another?" He gave a quick glance about to the others, as if in gesture.
Would Dorian take the offer that was given or would he shrug Caine off? He was still mulling over that though he suspected that it may be taken. The young man had proven himself arrogent, competitive and, Caine's personal favorite, bias towards those of impure blood. In a way he believed that Rosier would pair up with him simply on the concept that he might be able to spill his blood. However, Caine had chosen him for reasons as well. He wanted to test this young man's capabilities in this aspect, should those weapons be put to use.
Dorian Rosier - June 19, 2011 10:57 PM (GMT)
Dorian had been looking around the room for a partner when his newest enemy walked over and offered to be his partner for the lesson. Dorian's conscience told him to find a fellow Alecto, Pier perhaps, and forget about Caine. What Dorian did was quite different.
"Why of course Mr. Thresher. I'll gladly work with you." he said walking next to Caine as he said so. Dorian had yet to listen to his conscience this week. Why would today be any different? Dorian truly felt like he had to prove to Caine that he was NOT in the mood to be pushed around by anyone, let alone a mudblood. Caine was grating his nerves and Dorian intended to prove a point by teaming up with him. He secretly hoped he'd been right in doing so and he wouldn't let his rear be handed to him. Despite this, he didn't show an ounce of fear or worry as he stood there, waiting for class to begin.
Raven Rosier - June 19, 2011 11:18 PM (GMT)
Listening as her brother got his partner she rolled her eyes. Her brother becoming such a troublemaker. This was so not going to end well. She figured she might as well have a front row seat. She jumped down from the bookcase landing lightly next to Dorian. "You're an idiot." She could see that these two weren't friends. This was going to be fun.
She winked at Caine. He was kind of cute. Well maybe more then kind of. Maybe he wasn't a pureblood. That would make this even more fun. She knew she wasn't as pretty as she had been before she got here but she still knew she held lots of appeal. She'd been the object of many guys affections at Hogwarts. She smiled and tucked a piece of hair behind one ear.
She looked around for a partner. She didn't see anyone interesting. She sighed. There was the very tall guy. She didn't know him. But he was probably half giant. She didn't have the courage to ask anyone random. They should ask her.
Nyx Neam - June 20, 2011 05:53 AM (GMT)
Nyx had walked into the library in the hopes of getting a book to read like she always did but had apparently walked in on a class she had missed the memo on. She looked around at her beloved bookshelves and saw them stripped of all their books. Nyx grew a bit sad, wondering where they had been sent and if they'd be back. She hoped so for she'd go mad without them to help pass the time. But since there were no books to borrow today, she figured she might as well take part in the class. It wasn't like they could kill her so there was little risk.
Nyx stood in the corner, away from all the students as she could manage. When asked to introduce herself she said, "I'm Nyx from the Tisiphone House." before falling silent again. She had no clue who to pair up with and she searched the room for a face of a fellow Tisiphone, preferably one she got along with. She stayed to her corner as she did so, unwilling to move until she was either asked to be a partner or found someone she felt somewhat comfortable working with. She searched the room in silence and waited.
Elina Demiov - June 21, 2011 03:17 PM (GMT)
As the room started to fill up more she was met with a murmur of names and houses checking her paper with all the numbers next to the kids names Elina Deminov was nothing if not organized and liked to know who attended her classes. ”Livingstone is not here again that is fine his partner is no longer in class” she mumbled to herself before looking up at them all. ”Ladies Gentlemen and on the off chance there are some whiners among you hello to you too she told them setting down her papers the last part of whiners was said in a sneer that could rival Sicila’s
She continued then ”I am Marshal Elina Deminov and congratulations those of you that listened to me and paired up you are now looking at your partners for the remainder of the time either of you are at Furiae and still breathing. Inmates 0030 and 0065 pair up!” she then looked to Nyx ”If you can not control your thirst in this class I will step in because we do bleed here”
Stepping now to the nearest set of weapons she continued to stare at them “Thresher for those that are not familiar with this class can you kindly tell them the weakest points on the human body that one can strike and please speak slowly so on the off chance we have another Livingstone they may understand. Which reminds me whoever does not have a partner will have to pair up with Livingstone next class as Murron De Luca is now a Marshal” she would wait for Caine to explain before gesturing to the weapons.
”You may choose one and only one that you will become proficient in while here , your partner and you will work together in this. Once mastered to my standards you and said partner will face off this will take weeks to get to that point but at said point last one standing with the other unable to fight without killing them will gain a level consider this a combat course”
Caine Thresher - June 22, 2011 03:15 AM (GMT)
As expected. The chance to prove himself top dog was just too much for Dorian to back down from. Caine, though pleased, would not show his own animosity towards the young man. "Excellent." he said with that smile, "Perhaps working togeather, even in such an activity as this, will help put any notion of rivalry behind us?" It certianly seemed as though Caine had no intention of making an enemy out of Dorian. Still, Caine was slippery like that. He would play nice up until he was sure he could get the drop on who ever he was going to make rue the day they ever crossed him.
When Demoiv spoke his name his attentions turned away from Dorian to her, smiling plesantly, one hand coming out from behind his back, held out in gesture, "As you wish, Marshal." Leaving Dorian, he was smirking just to himself, moving towards the weapons. When it came to physical combat Caine had spent his childhood as a muggle, hence, he had learned a little bit of how to fight. Most of what he knew in way of weapons was showmanship. It showed in the way he lifted his left hand, dropping it quickly on the butt end of a knife, causing it to flip up into the air, his right hand swinging about quickly to catch it. Turning back about to face the Marshal's class, a quick flick of his right arm and the knife he had been holding was gone, just a flash of the blade before it dissapeared, much in the same way his wand did.
"Now, as you all may know already through some form of experience there are some points of the body that will suffer damage much more effectively. Some of these points are lethal blows, others will simply incapacitate your advesary." Lifting his arm, he pointed first to the inside of his elbow, then to under his arm, "Striking at joints, whether it be through a stab or a slash, can damage the ligaments and tendons, causing failure in proper function. This works only on joints with soft tissue, others such as the hip joints will offer no such benefit. The feet are also excellent targets as injuries there will leave your foe without proper balance." From there he moved on, "The eyes are often targeted in combat, as they are our most utilized sense and the throat as well. If you can not draw breath then it is difficult to be an effective combatant. The temples can be struck witha blunt object causing blurred vision and impared function. A strike to the nose will cause the eyes to water and if the jaw is struck directly center with proper force it will pinch a nerve behind it and cause unconciousness." Waving his hand across his torso, Caine continued, "There are various points on the body cavity that serve to cause massive damage, most of it lethal. A stab to the stomach will not cause immediate death however the wound can be crippling. The kidneys, if struck, can be deadly in minutes as the body cavity will fill with blood. Unless you have proper aim the lungs are an ill advised target as it is easy to miss and strike a rib instead of slipping between them. The best method is to come up and under them." To illustrate this point he made a slow, upward stabbing motion from a low hand, like he was stabbing someone under the ribs. "Also, it is good to remember that death is not always caused by serious injury. A stab wounds only needs to be a little over a centimeter deep in order to kill. The brain realizes that the body cavity has been pierced and will go into shock, which can be lethal."
With those final words of warning Caine finished. When it came down to knowing how to damage the human body Caine's learning of anatomy had served him well. It all traveled back to the simple concept of knowing your enemy.
Candide Chimere - June 25, 2011 12:53 AM (GMT)
Candide sauntered in late. She didn't care. What was the worst that could happen. Only reason she even came was because Nyx had left a note for her saying to come. While they weren't exactly "friends" they were companions. They talked and would sit together. It was the closest thing to friendship she ever had.
She saw the weapons and smiled. This could be fun. Looking around the room she saw Nyx. She looked hungrier then one of the orphans she had lived with. She smiled at the instructor and said "I'll be her partner. She won't bite me. My blood isn't appealing." She didn't like people being mean to vampires. It wasn't their fault.
She didn't know what they were doing and didn't really care. She looked at the weapons and shrugged. She'd wait. Fighting didn't interest her. She was dangerous enough with her hands. She'd let Nyx pick.
