Follow the Leader
Massively disappointed with this one. It wasn't a Richard Alpert episode at all! Apart from that though it was good. Shit is hitting the fan in good measure, and pieces are falling into place. * I'm a little worried about Jack. First he conspired to crash a plane (half) full of innocent people onto the island, now he's planning to set off a nuclear weapon to kill everyone on the island and cause a massive time paradox. Things that suit his agenda may be his destiny according to him, but other things that he's not interested in doing like... saving Ben's life, they're not his destiny at all! He believes he's meant to do something, so he latches on to the most epic, game changing thing he can find to do and supports it with blind faith. * Locke is also worrying me. The guy is 100% sure of himself and what he is meant to do, but who's side is he (or the island) on anyway? What is the guy's agenda? The only thing that seems to trust him right now is the smoke monster. * I really want Kate and Sun to do something interesting and entertaining, because they're seriously getting left behind by the rest of the cast. Sun is becoming another Michael, her entire role in the story is to ask people about Jin, and Kate... well even the music turns sour when she shows up in the sub. * I love team Jack/Eloise/Richard/Sayid. I hope they do awesome things together over the course of the finale. -------------------- Ignore everything I just said, except the bits which made sense.

The Incident
That was an excellent episode I thought. Right up to the bit where Juliet convinces Sawyer to beat the shit out of Jack, then changes her mind. I wasn't quite convinced by everyone siding with team Jack by the end. But the rest of it was great. * I had no clue what could be in that box until the start of this episode, then suddenly it started to occur to me what (or who) it was. The cut from Lapidus looking in the box to the coffins of Sawyer's parents confirmed it as far as I was concerned ![]() * But damn, I wonder if Locke's story is seriously actually over and we're stuck with evil-Locke from now on? It seems like he's had a lot of build up for a guy who just ends up getting murdered in LA while trying to commit suicide, but then getting fucked over by life is Locke's thing. * I knew they were going to go with that ending too. Though I hoped I was wrong. Damn cliffhangers. We've 8 months to wait before we find out if what happened always happened. * Rose and Bernard managed to hide from the Dharma Initiative, the Others, and Smokey and survive on stolen food in the jungle for 3 years? Holy shit. I guess the survivors of 815 are down to Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Sun, Jin, Hurley, Walt, Claire, Rose and Bernard. Plus whoever the Others captured. That's like 80% of them dead. And it doesn't look like poor Sayid's got long. * Jacob seemed a fairly decent guy, until he started letting Nadia get run over and Locke get thrown out of a window. It seems like his agenda was to help nudge people on their way to where he wanted them to end up, or maybe just to touch them for some reason (it seemed to heal Locke to some degree, or at least keep him alive). * It seems that Smokey may be an ally of that guy who wanted to kill Jacob, or maybe it IS that guy. And perhaps evil-Locke too. Ghost-Alex appeared when Evil-Locke disappeared, physically threatened Ben, then disappeared when Evil-Locke returned. Also when Ben summons the smoke monster, it's Evil-Locke who appears out of the forest instead. * It's been ghost-Christian, not Jacob, who has been giving Locke instructions... who's side is ghost-Christian on anyway? Or the rest of the ghosts for that matter? Are they really ghosts at all, or just Smokey in disguise? And why do they keep bothering poor Hurley? * What lies in the shadow of the statue? 'He who will save us' apparently. And now he's been stabbed in the gut and set on fire. Nice to finally find out who those people are though. * 8 months to wait until the next episode... -------------------- Ignore everything I just said, except the bits which made sense.

Lost is easily the best show on TV. It always re-invents itself. The problems usually with TV series is they rely on the same stuff that makes them popular. Lost DVD Box Set is always changing. The production, acting & music is incredible. Sure it follows answers with more questions, but what would happen if it answered all the questions? It would stop being interesting and you would stop watching. It totally quenches my thirst but I keep wanting more. Every episode is like a top notch Movie.

Why can't we get more posts like this? Intelligent, insightful, and not a single complaint about polar bears.
