Yuchan’d had the unenviable job of waking Sihyeon this morning, after a draw of the short straw. He didn’t know why Duke couldn’t wake up on time on his own – after all, he was the one that decided they needed to leave the apartment at 6:30AM. Duke planned out their day’s schedule down to the minute.

After leaving the apartment at 6:30, they’d arrive on location at 7:15AM and do things like hair/makeup/wardrobe, rehearsal, and a photo shoot and video interviews for the Kaos Fourth Anniversary Fan Meeting DVD that was being made documenting this event. All of that had to be finished by 10:45AM, and then they had fifteen minutes to get last minute things done before the fan meeting officially started at 11:00. The fan meeting’d last for five hours including a fifteen minute break and about an hour off for lunch, ending at 4:00PM. Then they had a few hours to themselves before their fan dates from 7:00 to 9:00.

But after the initial tumultuous beginnings of getting Duke coaxed out of bed with coffee and getting all five members to follow Soo Yun down to the van, the rest of the preparations went better, and the three and a half hours they had before the fan meeting officially started flew by quickly. Soon they were in full wardrobe standing back stage – for the first half of the fan meeting, until the break, they were all wearing outfits that were black and white, the Kaos colors. They started the fan meet with two performances, ‘Wake me in December’ – their title song from last year’s full album – followed by ‘Mask’, an earlier song of theirs from 2008.

When ‘Mask’ – the more dance-heavy performance of the two songs – ended, Yuchan waved with his fellow Kaos members, and he was the first one to speak. It’d been decided Yuchan’d play MC for their introductions, since he had the most media exposure and experience MCing on variety shows. “Good morning, TwoFaced!” Yuchan said good morning in English, but the rest was Korean, “Welcome to the Kaos Fourth Anniversary Fan Meeting! You’re all having fun so far, right? We have some more performances coming right up, but first, we’d all like to say hi. As you all know, I’m Chanyu, the vocal of Kaos. And to my left here is our esteemed leader – Duke-ssi, how about a hello to everyone.”

[OOC: I don’t know how the schedule would actually go so I based the first half of this on what I’ve seen on Infinity Challenge with their special events and the second half on a SNSD fan meeting account I found googling.]

Sihyeon was happy to find coffee at their fan meeting venue alongside some breakfast pastries that could be eaten in between spare moments during their preparations. That had made for a smooth wake up – because he’d fallen asleep in the 45 minute car ride over – and he didn’t have any trouble during the rehearsal or photo shoot and video interviews.

There had been some commotion during their rehearsal because of a security breach – a few fans had somehow found their way in – but Soo Yun’d taken care of that and there hadn’t been any additional trouble after that. The 200 guests all received the program as they entered, but they’d receive the gift bags later, coming back in after the lunch hour.

Sihyeon decided to begin with ‘Wake me in December’ because it was their most recent hit, from late last year, just before Jaehyun left. After the two starting performances, they had a thirty minute slot for introductions and some stools and handheld microphones were brought up on stage for them. Chanyu was MCing the introductions section, which Sihyeon hadn’t initially agreed to, but he changed his mind since Chanyu did have experience on variety shows – and because it would make the event more Kaos-led, which was an important theme to the event.

“Annyeonghaseyo, everyone.” Sihyeon waved in a laidback manner using his free hand. “Thank you for being here with us today to celebrate our fourth anniversary. All our members – those that started together from the beginning and our new family maknae – appreciate our fans’ support and we couldn’t have come this far without our fans. We have a lot to show you today, and all the events were planned by us personally, so we hope you enjoy them.” These were typical opening remarks but they were the necessary responsibilities of a leader.

“As well as being our four year anniversary, today’s the first time our maknae’s sharing the stage with us, so those of you with eagle eyes can see if he makes any mistakes doing our old songs.” Sihyeon was making a cavalier joke, but it was a well-known fact that some of the long-standing fans hadn’t readily welcomed a new addition to the group, and Sihyeon chose to acknowledge that instead of pretend otherwise. “He’s practiced a lot, but I’m sure a few of you’ll be able to find some mistakes.” Sihyeon was known for his straightforward attitude in talking to the media and their fans – to the point of problems with outspokenness on some past occasions. He didn’t tiptoe around the issues, and by bring this up he was making the point that he was standing by their new member.

[OOC: I decided to use my characters or NPC the MC hosts to make things easier for flow.
I’m thinking we can skip over to the Interviews after the first round of posts so that there’s more for Eunmi and Soo Yun to do directly.]

WARNING: This is going to be quite possibly the longest Eunmi post ever. Consider yourself warned and please don't feel obligated to match this. I just couldn't get Eunmi to shut the heck up. XD

Eunmi had flipped out when she'd received one of the coveted 200 invitations to Kaos's 4th anniversary fanmeet. In what was a rare "crazy fangirl" moment, she'd actually run squealing from the house and ambushed a friend - and fellow fan - at work. The pair had jumped in circles holding hands and squeaking nonsensically for almost five minutes, and they'd even managed to scare off a few customers. Luckily, the store's manager had found it hilarious rather than upsetting, and neither of them had been punished for it. But even if their fangirl antics hadn't been accepted, it wasn't something Eunmi could control. She'd been a fan of Kaos straight from the beginning, way back in 2008, and until now she'd never been closer to the idols than the twelfth row of a concert. Now that she had been one of the lucky fans invited, it followed that she would be the one to present the anniversary project to the group personally, since she was the one who had put it all together. She'd get to meet them!

She'd spent all the spare time she had - and some time that would normally be devoted to studying, resulting in at least one test with grades lower than what she regularly achieved - to put the project together. Between printing messages from fans all over the world, getting all the pictures she needed, and putting everything into scrapbooks, it had taken a lot of effort. But it had paid off in the end. She'd even been nominated to be the fan representative for the Q&A section of the fanmeet for doing such a good job on the project. (An idea that both thrilled her and terrified her.)

The idea she'd suggested that had ultimately ended up in her organizing the project was a simple one, really. Eunmi had put together five scrapbooks, one per member, with the first four being each being dedicated to a particular year in the group's career. They were filled to the brim with pictures, messages, and memorabilia, and each of the scrapbooks also had a tendency to lean more towards one of the four original members; year one, for example, featured a lot more of Duke than the other members, while year three had more Chanyu, depending on when each member shone the most. It had been the fifth scrapbook, the one for the group's new maknae, that had ended up requiring the most effort. Because so little was actually known about him, and with some fans actively taking a stance against his inclusion, it had been tougher to put his gift together. Eunmi had ended up filling the scrapbook with messages of encouragement and wishes for the years ahead, as well as pictures of fans from around the world. Her instructions for the international fans had been to take a picture in front of one of their country's landmarks, holding an anniversary sign that one of the other fans had designed in a contest. She'd put little flags next to each of the pictures to show where they were from, in case the landmarks weren't recognizable.

And then, of course, there were the regular presents: flowers, clothes, food, and things each member liked. For example, Duke was getting a supply of exotic coffee from some of his fans in Central America. Apparently that group had had to do a lot of research to make sure they could even send it to Korea. Eunmi had put it all together, and with the help of a few friends who had also been invited to the fanmeet, had loaded it into her parents' minivan. Once there, they informed the first authoritative-looking person they could find, and were escorted with their load into a small room backstage. There was a table with wheels, apparently to facilitate bringing the gifts out, and Eunmi set to work arranging the presents. She had to squish things a bit to make sure everything fit on the table, and as a finishing touch she placed the small bouquets of white and baccara "black" roses on top of each scrapbook. The baccara roses weren't exactly black, but she personally disliked the idea of coloring the flowers with a floral spray to make them properly black, so she'd settled for the deep red of the baccaras. They'd been expensive, so her boss had insisted that Eunmi foot the bill. She'd made the bouquets herself, though she had gotten the flower shop's owner to tie to the bows, since she hadn't quite perfected that part of the process.

Somebody poked their head around the corner. "You're the fan representative, right? You can bring the gifts out at the end of the meet. The show's about to start. Come back here during the break." Eunmi didn't even have time to confirm the instructions before the person rushed off again. Oh, well, time to go. Eunmi half-ran back to the auditorium and navigated her way to her seat near the middle of the audience. She sat down just in time for the start of the show, and was immediately back off her feet with the rest of the audience, yelling her excitement. When the opening act ended and Chanyu and Duke started speaking, Eunmi settled back down into her seat, squirming a bit in pure happiness. She was excited, as a fan, to see the new maknae. While she'd loved Jaehyun as part of the group, that didn't qualify as a reason to dislike the new member. If he'd been chosen as a replacement, he must be good. And if Duke was so obviously positioning himself on his side, that made her all the more open to the idea. Eunmi grinned and slid towards the edge of her seat, as though the few inches made it any easier to hear and see what was going on on stage.

Sometimes Soo Yun thought she had to be blessed. Having been assigned as Kaos’ manager had been extremely lucky for her. Not only were her boys very talented, but they were also very professional and capable. Of course she had worked herself to near exhaustion checking and double checking just about every detail for the group’s fan meeting, and the fan dates that would happen next. She probably would have gone completely crazy and shot one of the boys herself if it weren’t for the fact that they were all actively participating in putting the event together.

The boys came up with the schedule and the basic layout of what they wanted and Soo Yun got out her beloved phone and did what she did so that they got what they wanted. It had been hard work, with a lot of rushing around and juggling calls and making deals. The amount of little details that went into setting up an event like this was truly astounding. It was what she lived for though. Soo Yun was rarely as pleased with herself as when she was managing dozens of little details and making them all come out right.

Her morning started over an hour before the boy’s had to start getting up. She jumped out of bed, took the world’s fastest shower, and started making calls and sending texts as she dressed. She had over a dozen people sending her pictures of various places and things so she could make sure there weren’t any obvious problems.

She was at the boy’s apartment fifteen minutes before they had to leave, double checking to make sure they didn’t forget anything and making herself available for any last minute requests or complaints. She was glad that Yuchan had taken on the duty of waking up Sihyeon. She was also glad that they made it to the site without incident.

She continued doing he thing as the boys began rehearsing only to be side tracked by a couple of over eager fans who had found their way past security. She managed to wrangle them up without too much commotion and made it subtly clear that there was still time for replacement fans to be chosen if any of the original two hundred caused too much trouble. This fan meet was supposed to be a great thing for everyone and it would be sad if it were ruined.

Honestly, fans freaked her out sometimes. It was the one thing about the entertainment industry that she really found odd and a bit off putting. The normal ones were okay, but they just thew off so much pure, raw, fan girl energy that it was occasionally scary. Then there were the crazies. She had nightmares about the crazies.

Luckily there were only the normal, minor incidences after that and the boys got through their first two songs and into the introductions. Backstage she was examining the display the fan representative had set up. The girl had done her job very well, and Soo Yun would make sure that the boys personally thanked her. She gently brushed one of the roses, wondering how much they had cost. She would have to think of something to do for the girl, Eunmi, she believed was her name.

She managed to find a moment to actually stand still after okaying the gifts. She took the opportunity to listen in on the introductions. She was pleased to see Sihyeon giving his approval for the new member. Some fans had been less than pleased with the change in the group and his words would definitely help pave the way for fan acceptance.

Yuchan thought that sometimes, Sihyeon hyung could get really political during his interviews. Not in the true sense of the word, talking about politics, but in terms of idol politics. Even things that he didn’t have to say, Duke said, and sometimes that inflated the issue balloon and they had an explosion on their hands when the media took over and hyped things up. Once Duke on a live radio show about how he didn’t think fans had a ‘right’ to know everything about idols, and the fans that dug too deep into an artist’s personal affairs wasn’t a fan at all. That’d stirred up some big controversy and people’d said that Duke – and Kaos, by extension – wasn’t appreciative of their fans.

That was during their first year too, which made things an even bigger deal, since they’d freshly debuted. Of course, Yuchan was completely on Duke’s side when it came to privacy – actually, Yuchan thought Duke needed to learn to respect people’s privacy more when it came to borrowing things without asking, which Sihyeon did all the time – and Yuchan’d made many statements on air about not wanting to discuss his personal life with the public. But he did it in a diplomatic and charismatic manner – not to say Yuchan’d never been in any controversies or scandals at all, but interview problems were rare for him.

“Ne, we can hear from our maknae himself in a moment, but first we’ll let our hyungs introduce themselves too.” Yuchan smoothed things over before handing things over to the other members to make their introductions. After that, the curtains fell to let them wait for the next performances while the staff cleared the stage of the stools and the fog machine started up, letting plumes fill the stage under intense white spotlights before the curtains drew open for their next performance, ‘Your Song’. Yuchan was glad they’d gotten smoke clearance – it looked much better with smoke, he was sure.

After ‘Your Song’, the rest of the group went off stage to let Duke have his solo, and returned for ‘Anything to Live’. ‘Anything to Live’ wasn’t a dance performance because it wasn’t one of the songs they’d promoted during the release of the album, but the fog and blue spotlights created a good stage performance regardless. After that it was another solo performance, so the rest of the members went off stage to start their break early. And by ‘break’, Yuchan meant ‘rush to go change outfits for the interview portion’ because that was what he’d done – he wouldn’t have needed to rush except his outfit had gone missing somehow and the stylist nuna took forever to find it (it was ‘hidden’ on the clothes racks because Sihyeon threw his jacket over the rack). At 12:15PM exactly they returned to the stage, where the staff had already set up seats – this time comfortable chairs – for them and the fan representative that’d be asking questions collected from the fans.

Sihyeon knew at least a few of the 200 fans gathered today had to be or have been against the addition of a new member, and he knew that beginning the fan meeting on that note could be a sour start for them, but that didn’t keep him from saying what he wanted to say. But often, he didn’t consider what consequences might be had from a wayward statement before saying it – which led to problems when people thought he said something thoughtless or over the line. But Sihyeon was the ‘act first, apologize later’ type, and sometimes, he didn’t even apologize – if he didn’t think he’d done something wrong, Sihyeon refused to apologize, no matter how mad people might be.

The rest of the introductions went smoothly, as did their performance for ‘Your Song’. ‘Your Song’ was one of their singles last year, so it was pretty fresh on their minds – compared to their older songs, at least. They’d had a lot of other songs between ‘Your Song’ and now. After that was their first solo performance, and it was his. Though Sihyeon’d been the one to decide the order of the performances, he hadn’t picked to be first because he wanted to be the first one to go – it was expected that he’d go first, because he was the leader.

For his solo performance, Sihyeon’d chosen ‘The One’, a song that could incorporate good levels of dancing, singing and rapping all in one. It was best for him to emphasize all his skills because he didn’t directly outshine any of the other Kaos members in their specialties, but overall, he had a better combination of skills – for example, Chanyu’s vocals were amazing, but Sihyeon’s dancing was much better.

After Sihyeon’s solo performance, blue lights and fog accompanied their performance of ‘Anything to Live’, and they went off stage after that for the next solo. In the green room there was a bit of chaos when people couldn’t find Chanyu’s jacket, and it turned out underneath the jacket Sihyeon’d taken off after coming down from the stage, so Sihyeon knew that he was going to get an earful from Chanyu for that after the show – but it wasn’t like it’d been intentional. And they all got ready in time to return on stage for the interview portion on time, so no harm was done. When they got on stage, the fan representative was already there – they’d heard that this was the same person that’d gotten picked for Yuchan’s date, but that was later and this was now – and Sihyeon offered her a handshake as the Kaos representative. “Annyeonghaseyo.” After the handshake they all sat down, waiting for the fan representative to open up with the first question or comment.

At the start of the break, Eunmi had left her seat and rushed backstage after receiving a few "good luck"s and "hwaiting"s from the girls sitting next to her. She needed the encouragement. To be honest, she was terrified. Eunmi wasn't good in front of video cameras (of which she was sure there were plenty), let alone in front of a crowd of 199 other fans. Please don't let me freeze, please don't let me freeze, please please PLEASE don't let me freeze, she repeated mentally as she was ushered through to the wing from which she would go on stage. The Kaos members were standing nearby, but she didn't get a chance to even say hi before they were cued to go on stage; she was supposed to wait a moment for the fans to re-greet their idols before she went on herself.

Eunmi was practically shaking with nerves. She fiddled with the sheets of questions she'd printed up to give her hands something to do, moving her legs on the spot to try and shake the butterflies out of her stomach. Needless to say, it didn't really work. A crew member gave her her cue, and Eunmi took a deep breath before heading out across the stage herself. Ohh, good lord. This was terrifying. She could hear a couple of familiar voices shouting out words of encouragement amongst the polite clapping - fellow fans she'd befriended at previous events who knew how nervous she was - and it helped a bit. Eunmi stopped a few steps away from the Kaos members, put on a brave smile, and bowed her greetings. "Ne, annyeonghaseyo." Then, because Duke put out his hand, she moved forward again and took it timidly, supporting her elbow as a sign of respect. She added another miniature bow just in case. Holy cow, she'd just shook Duke's hand. Okay, calm, calm. She could not fangirl yet.

Eunmi sat down only after the members had done so, and was slightly surprised at how cushy the seat that had been provided for her was. She'd been expecting a stool or something like that, so this was a pleasant surprise. Eunmi cleared her throat and brought her mic up. "Hi everyone," she began, her voice a bit shaky. She sort of wish she hadn't been nominated to do this in the first place. "My name is Kang Eunmi and I've been nominated to be today's fan representative." She waved briefly at the crowd. There, that part done, anyways. Now she could do the part she'd practiced on her friends for the past couple of days. She smiled timidly at the members across from her. "Um, congratulations and thank you for the past four years. We in TwoFaced are really looking forward to spending several more with you!" She looked at the audience for support, and they gave it to her. Nobody here could deny that statement.

"We had a lot of questions submitted, so I guess I'll get started right away?" Her intonation rose at the end of the sentence to turn it into a question, giving the members a chance to say something if they wanted to. The list of questions she'd printed off was almost three pages long, and that had been narrowed down. Eunmi had separated the questions according to content, and had highlighted the most popular questions - repeats that had been submitted, or questions that had been voted as being extremely popular on the fan forum - to make sure that she knew which questions were the priority if they were running low on time. What could she say? She was a nursing student. Organization was an essential part of Eunmi's life.

Soo Yun continued to buzz around back stage as the boys started performing again. Considering everything had been set up wonderfully, there were still a small continuous stream of little details that required her attention. She popped into the dressing room in time to hear Yuchan complaining about his missing wardrobe and joined the search. She was the one to find it beneath Sihyeon’s discarded jacket. She smiled, knowing that Yuchan would have words to say later. In fact he would probably use the crisis as a tool to get some favor from Sihyeon. Yuchan was like that.

She caught a moment to watch Sihyeon’s solo. She was happy that he hadn’t really let any of his issues take over recently. Perhaps being in charge of setting things up had kept his mind off of whatever it was that caused him to go into one of his slumps. At this point, if he had gone and gotten all depressed and slacked off she was fairly certain she would have kidnapped him. For a while his issues had been building and her patience for them had been decreasing rapidly.

She didn’t really have time for these thoughts though. Instead she was off, finding one of the stylists having a small break down, probably due to the whole snafu with the jacket. She took the girl aside and assured her that it was normal for these things to happen, and of course none of the Kaos boys blamed her.

Before she knew it the boys were down with the first set of songs and getting ready for the interview. She checked in on them. “Yuchan, remember, the fan representative is going to be your fandate, but try not to mention it.” To be perfectly honest she was a little afraid that some fans would get overloaded. The girl got to be right next to Kaos, asking them questions and all. If they were reminded that she would also get to have a meal with Yuchan they could forget that she was a widely liked member of the club. If Yuchan mentioned it in a flirty way, they might flip their crazy switches. Soo Yun had dealt with fan girls in crazy mode, and she had her position as an adult and Kaos’ manager to shield her. The fan representative would probably get eaten alive.

She left the boys to get ready and went in search of said fan rep. The poor girl looked like she might faint. People were rushing all around her and some were even asking the girl questions. Soo Yun smiled and approached her, snagging a bottle of water on the way. “Kang Eunmi right? Here you go.” She offered up the bottle with a warm smile. The girl really did look horribly nervous. “Try and calm down a little dear. You’ve prepared for this and the boys are old pros by now.” She knew that the girl had worked dutifully as a fan rep. She had done a background check on the girl when she had been chosen. From what she could tell, Eunmi was a smart, organized young woman.

If you feel faint or sick or anything we can pause things. I’ll be close by so if you need it just wave me down.” She hoped the girl wouldn’t pass out, but she had seen more than one fan succumb to the excitement. She’d made sure that things were set up so she could do some shuffling and take a small break to avoid that. It wouldn’t look good for the fan rep to pass out on camera.

The time was up and they were ready for Eunmi to go out. With another warm smile, Soo Yun gave the girl a quick shoulder squeeze. “You’ll be fine deal. Go on.” she sent the girl out and positioned herself nearby where Eunmi would be able to see her. If she started to look sick Soo Yun would be able to react quickly. It was what she did best.

They’d found out the names of their fan dates now – but not much else, because they were supposed to get to know the fans during the date – so Yuchan knew that the fan representative was also his fan date for later today. Because of that arrangement, Yuchan had the unique opportunity of seeing what his fan date was like before the fan date – and he was going to be looking to see that she wasn’t the touching kind of fan that liked to cling on, because that got pretty tiresome after a couple minutes, though Yuchan didn’t mind other kinds of fan behavior for the most part.

But Yuchan figured out he had nothing to worry about a bare minute into the interview hour because of the way the fan representative was so shy about shaking Sihyeon hyung’s hand. Yuchan was seated in the second seat from the fan representative – a privileged and contested seat, since that wasn’t a position that was decided by default like Duke sitting in the seat closest to the fan representative. But Yuchan’d argued that since he was no longer maknae and had the most media exposure, the fair thing to do was for him and the other two hyungs to duke it out in a game of rock-paper-scissors . Yuchan’d won the rock-paper-scissors game, so he’d claimed the seat, and the other hyungs were sitting in the third and fourth seats – the new maknae got the seat at the other end by default.

Yuchan waited while Sihyeon made the usual leader-type thank you notes, but answered on behalf of the group when the fan representative asked about beginning. “Ne Eunmi-ssi, we can start right away. First question please.” Yuchan was making use of his convenient seating arrangements and taking the opportunity to call the representative by name, something Yuchan liked to do in events like fan meetings and autograph sessions to give the fans a feeling of personal connection. “Who’s the first question for?”

Sihyeon could be a natural leader – he was good at giving orders, organizing things in his head, naturally confident, and good at keeping track of even the little things. But he had problems elsewhere – aside from his depression – like not being careful about what he said and not being good at diplomacy. So it took him some time to get used to saying leader-things, but after four years, the standard comments were all stored in a mental script.

“We’re thankful for all of the support our fans have given us through the last four years. Our TwoFaced fans are really known for their spirit, and that energy always helps us in our performances.” Still, these weren’t wholly meaningless, rehearsed words – they did appreciate their fans, and while their fans weren’t the reason Sihyeon did what he did, the fan support did give them more motivation, especially on stage where the heat of things enhanced their performances.

Sihyeon would’ve said something shorter when the fan representative asked to start, but Chanyu took the turn in answering that one, so he only nodded in Eunmi’s direction, waiting for her to give them the first interview question. Although Sihyeon didn’t care who the first question was for, he was absentmindedly hoping that it wouldn’t go to Chanyu, if only to keep Chanyu from making a big show of getting the first question. Sihyeon didn’t know why, but he usually assumed the worst – or at least the bad instead of the good – when it came to Chanyu, even though he was only right about half the time – less than half the time, to say the truth. There could be something underlying there, but on the other hand, maybe he had reasonable concerns about Chanyu getting overconfident – not that Sihyeon wasn’t guilt of that himself on some occasions.

Eunmi nodded as she got the go-ahead from Chanyu and looked down at her papers to remind herself what came first. She'd pre-planned the promotions and activities section to come first. Now all she really had to do was read off her list of questions. She could do that. Maybe if she felt brave she'd comment on the answers or something. Eunmi took a small breath and began. "The first question is from basically all of your international fans," she said. "Do you have any plans to promote abroad? And are there any countries you would specifically want to visit if you got the chance?" It was a question for the group as a whole, but as Duke was the leader Eunmi's eyes landed on him. She wasn't entirely sure who would actually answer the question, though.

She cycled through a couple of questions for the rapper and dancer of the group - she'd laid out questions for the new maknae for a bit later on - and got to one directed towards Chanyu. "Chanyu-ssi, a lot of fans are really curious about what a solo single of yours would sound like. If you were given the opportunity, would you do a song similar to Kaos's famous ballads, or would you give us something new and different to look forward to?" All of the members were doing solo performances for the fanmeet, but that didn't always mean that they would promote a song with the same feel. This had been an extremely popular question on the forum, and she'd gotten a few dozen emails from Chanyu's fans making sure that she would ask it.

In truth, Eunmi had had to work hard to make sure that the questions were evenly divided amongst the members. Some of the members had bigger fandoms than others, even though the group as a whole was so wildly popular. She thought she'd done a good job, though. Eunmi took a sip of water from the bottle that a stunning woman had handed to her just before she'd been told to go on stage. If it hadn't been for the fact that she was already too distracted and nervous, she would have been intimidated by the lady, even though she had been really kind. She'd just been so calm and in control, and Eunmi had no idea how she did it. She could see the lady standing in one of the wings, just out of sight from the audience, and offered her the tiniest of smiles before flicking her attention back to the answers that were being given.

((Feel free to spread the questions apart more, guys. I just couldn't put Eunmi's reactions in without knowing the answers, hahaha))

The questions seemed to be going fairly well. The fan representative was doing a good job of spreading things out so that the group as whole was featured, instead of just focusing on one or two members. She had looked into it before hand to ensure that the girl wasn’t some uber fan of one particular boy. It wouldn’t have gone over well to have the girl gushing over her bias and ignoring the others.

Having promised to stick around in case the girl fainted or anything Soo Yun took this moment to check up on details for the fan dates. Eunmi was going to be Yuchan’s date and that pairing was promising to be diabetes inducing. Yuchan knew how to play up the cute and the girl didn’t seem the type to be all clingy and touchy, something she knew would make Yuchan pout.

She triple checked the reservations, and quadruple checked the other fan date girls. She might have originally fostered some amusing fantasies of Sihyeon being stabbed with a fork and Yuchan being kidnapped, but she was doing more than her due diligence to ensure that things like that did not happen.

She caught the little smile Eunmi sent her way and smiled warmly back. On an impulse, when the girl’s eyes next came her way, Soo Yun gave a small fist bump and mouthed ‘Hwaiting’ with a grin.

Sihyeon had mixed feelings about their activities abroad. In the long four years of their career, Kaos’d already promoted overseas, like Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand, and that kind of success was always a great thing for an artist. But Sihyeon’s language skills were lacking and because of that he felt like he wasn’t doing all the duties of the leader when they were abroad, because he usually took a backseat when they needed to use the local language. His Japanese was good – not fluent but still good – because he was one of the Japanese-studying members, and they did promote in Japan a lot, but anywhere else he needed a translator by his side. Sihyeon liked to do things for himself, so that was a real hassle.

They hadn’t promoted internationally recently though, not since the beginning of 2011, because of all their activities in Korea, and Sihyeon’d gotten comfortable with that. Fortunately there was nothing immediately on the horizon since they were working on the single which would keep them in Korea for a while.
“We haven’t been able to promote abroad recently, but we are looking forward to being able to see our international fans in person again in the future. In the long run, we’re hoping to eventually travel to countries outside of Asia too.”

With the question to Chanyu, Sihyeon took a moment to straighten out his blazer – he’d settled on a strange mixed casual and dress style for his alternate wardrobe, wearing black jeans and a black dress shirt with an open collar, but also a black blazer that had a glossy kind of texture and silver stripes that made him stand out more than just wearing all back. The downside to this apparel was that it seemed to be wrinkling easily, and the stylist’d had to steam iron the jacket for him in between after the photo shoot for the fan meeting DVD.

Before the photo shoot for the fan meeting DVD, Yuchan’d checked over his alternate wardrobe– the one that he was wearing now, not the black and white ensemble that he’d worn at the start of the fan meeting that matched the Kaos theme – for any last minute problems that the stylist might’ve missed. There hadn’t been any – and his jacket would going missing wasn’t something you could prepare for, except maybe by fencing off Sihyeon to one corner of the room so he wouldn’t roam around making things go missing – and now that he was wearing it for the main event, Yuchan was glad he’d chosen the clothes. He was wearing some of his favorite clothes, like his black studded belt and jacket, and he was in his favorite red and black theme.

Yuchan’d thought about dyeing his hair recently because he hadn’t in a while, but he was glad he hadn’t yet because black hair looked better with the red and black color combination. And he couldn’t settle on a color for the dyeing, so he was considering using different color sprays for each performance once they started promoting the new single.

“I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about a solo album or single,” Yuchan answered, readily admitting to the fact because it wasn’t the first time he’d gotten the question, since he’d done lots of solo activities outside of a real album or single on his own, like his involvement in drama OSTs. “But I’d like make my solo debut with an album, and to compose all my own songs for it, and presently I’m not at that level. But my personal style is little different from what we’ve done with Kaos, though I can tell you our new single will show you a different side of Kaos as well.” Background information, answer to the question, and hyping up the new single: all that and he was only on question number one. Good start.

Eunmi smiled excitedly at Duke’s answer. The international fans would be flipping tables over that statement. A lot of them had been fans straight from the group’s debut, just like Eunmi, and they were always so sad that so many people got to see them live when they had to stay up until ridiculous hours to watch the weekly music performances streaming online. Chanyu’s answer, however, made her skip to a question she’d meant to save for towards the end of the Q&A. ”Could you give us any clues about the next single?” She probed, leaning a teensy bit forward in her seat in curiosity. Wake Me In December had been such a massive hit that all the fans were highly anticipating their comeback.

She listened to the answer, then looked over (just to check!) to see that the lady was still there. Eunmi was a bit surprised to catch the “Hwaiting!” and fist pump, but she appreciated it. Feeling a little bit emboldened, she shifted in her chair and continued cycling through the questions. Eventually, she got to the section regarding relationships. Eunmi took a sip of water to ready herself for what was sure to be her impending death-by-blush for even having to ask the questions. Of course, she’d edited out the submissions that had been far too…intimate to actually ask (good lord, some of them she’d never even thought about, let alone ever dreamed of asking them to her idols!). ”So, um, the next questions are going to be about relationships,” she began, introducing the new topic. She heard several fangirls cheer in anticipation. Surely they’d read those submissions too (they’d all been public, so that fellow fans could vote them up or down), and hadn’t realized that she’d censor them all out. Oh, well. ”Could each of you tell us what your ideal type is and where you would take her on your first date?” Yup, here came the blush. Eunmi ducked her head a bit to try and hide it, although she knew under the stage lights it didn’t really help.

((Am I a bad fangirl for not being able to think up many questions that I would want to ask idols? XDD))
