“The single was written by me, with Chanyu’s help. We will be focusing on vocals this time, but it won’t be without a performance aspect.” Sihyeon answered, his reply carrying no hints of the arguments that they’d all gone through in deciding the nature of the performance. Chanyu’d pushed strongly to exclude a dance routine, which Sihyeon – and not just Sihyeon – had been against. In the end, they decided to arrange it so that each member had a spotlight moment in the song. Chanyu’s part was more like a musical because as the vocal he had the climax of the song, but their dancer could show his dance skills during the rap part and so forth. It was a good way of showing their individual talents without losing cohesiveness.
“I’m not personally close to her, but in looks, my ideal type is someone like Shin Kaeul-ssi. She can be both classically beautiful and dress in a sexy modern style, and carries herself with dignity.” Some idols were careful about what they said when it came to things like attractions and ideal types, but Sihyeon had always been very free about talking about such matters. “Ideally, I’d like to take her to a department store to do some casual shopping and watch a movie.” That was a little too unrealistic, given his idol status, but it wasn’t so unrealistic like trying to go around shopping in public streets or detached movie theaters, since many department stores had connected movie theaters on the top floors and moving around one building would be easier to do.
After the rest of the questions, they thanked the fan representative and the stage was cleared for the three solo performances. After that, there was an hour for lunch – lunch’d been catered and was provided for all the fans. During the lunch hour, the staff brought out the gift bags for all the attendees, so that each fan received one as they returned to the hall. After lunch they returned to the stage to do a group performance of ‘Enemy of the State’ minus the maknae, and then there were two duo performances and Chanyu’s second solo.
[OOC: Nah Cricket, we can skip ahead now to the Special Events so Eunmi can do her thing there and spare you from more questions]

Yuchan didn’t like questions that were too personal, but with questions like ‘what’s your ideal type’, there was room for him to give some information without getting too deep. “My ideal type would be someone like Pandora’s Jiyeon-ssi or POProcks’ Jisun-ssi. I think as the vocals of our groups, we’d have something in common to talk about, and I like being around people that enjoy singing and music.”
They answered a few other questions each, before it was time to finish the interview section. Right after the interview section was his solo, so Yuchan got ready as the staff cleared the stage. He’d chosen a ballad for his first solo, which was likely within the boundaries of expectations, but Yuchan liked showing off his vocal skills more than surprising the fans.
After the remaining solo performances was lunch, which was a welcome break for them to spend an hour in the green room to relax for a breather before the rest of the fan meeting. Lunch was simple – they had some kind of rice dish – like bibimbap which Sihyeon had and different kinds of bokkeumbap, like Yuchan’s fried rice. After lunch were four more performances, and Chanyu reveled in the fact that his was the only solo.
This time Yuchan chose a song from a musical, a romantic soliloquy that progresses into a serenade – Yuchan had insisted on this song, because he thought it was a great way to finish off the individual performances – like serenading all 200 of the guests. After Yuchan’s song, all the members returned to the stage for the hour of ‘Special Events’. There were some things on the plan, such as a random lottery where each member picked a number from 1 to 200 and the corresponding fan guest would get to come up on stage and make a ‘wish’ that the member would fulfill, but the MC announced something else instead. “To begin the special events, we have an announcement from the fan representative.”

((I’m just going to start the post from just before the special events. Including her responses to the rest of the questions would just make it choppy and jumpy.))
It was the last of the solo performances before the special events, and Eunmi had found a fold-down metal chair backstage that she could sit on until she was told to go back onstage. The rest of the interview questions had gone well, but now that she was being prepped to go back under the lights all of her relief had given way to stress again. The table with the gifts had been moved so that crew workers could push it onstage for the start of the events, and Eunmi had done some last minute fiddling with how they were arranged, but there was only so much she could do to occupy herself before she went on. So, half-listening to the performance, Eunmi was reading over the little script for the announcement she had to make. It was a short one, just recapping how awesome Kaos is and how proud TwoFaced are to have spent four years cheering them on, but it was still stressing her out.
All too soon the performances were done, and Eunmi was herded over to the wings, where she was delayed by one of the workers for what felt like a heartbeat, then told to go onstage. Eunmi took another deep breath. Best to get this over with.
The MC introduced her, the audience smattered politely for her again – nothing compared to what their beloved idols got, obviously – and quieted quickly enough. ”Um, so to celebrate Kaos’s fourth year anniversary and to thank you for the four years we’ve spent together, TwoFaced has come together and completed a project for you all.” A couple crew members pushed the table with all of the gifts out onstage and disappeared quickly again. The crowd cheered; they knew from pictures and updates how the project had turned out. She’d even uploaded pictures of the final product on the table to the fan forum with her phone for the fans who weren’t able to be here.
Here we go. Eunmi gestured to the scrapbooks on the table, which had been arranged to match the order that the boys were standing in. That would just make it easier for when they had the chance to look through them. ”Each of these scrapbooks is dedicated to a certain year since your debut, so that each member will have a scrapbook of the year when they shone the most,” She paused and picked up the fifth scrapbook to hand to the maknae. ”The fifth scrapbook has all the well-wishes and messages from international fans for the coming years.” Okay, so that sounded a lot more lame than it really was. Eunmi winced a bit, but covered it up with a smile and proceeded to pass each member their respective scrapbook. She’d worked hard on them, and hoped the boys appreciated them. ”In addition,” she continued, falling back to her little script. ”TwoFaced has answered Chanyu-ssi’s wish that we donate to animal shelters. Over the past month, 2,500,000 won has been donated to three different shelters: two in Seoul and one in Busan, and more donations are still being made.”
There, done. Eunmi took a breath, checked her script surreptitiously to be doubly sure that she hadn’t missed anything, and flicked her eyes between the members, trying to ask with her eyes if she could go back to her seat in the audience yet.
((Massive Eunmi post is massive!))

A surprise project? That was news to them, so it really was a surprise – they hadn’t gotten any hints about it. Sihyeon clapped along with the rest of Kaos and the cheering fans, his torso leant to one side to watch the table that was pushed up onto the stage. The table was pushed up so that all the five members could see what was on it in front of him, and Sihyeon recognized the items on the table as scrapbooks.
Fans often surprised Sihyeon with their artistic and effortful presents, like hand-knit scarves and decorated albums, and this was no different. Sihyeon had no kind of decorative interest or talent despite his expansive wardrobe and hobby of buying clothes, so the handcrafted gifts were laudable. As the maknae received the fifth scrapbook of a promising future, Sihyeon spoke to say the first thank you’s as the group leader.
“Thank you for these thoughtful gifts. Even after four years, I’m still amazed by the love our fans give us. When Kaos debuted, we were all four years younger and some things have changed. But I think those changes are the result of our maturation as a group and as individuals, and I think that maybe our fans have gone through a similar process in their own lives as well. I am thankful that our fans have embraced us each time we returned with a comeback, and we hope to make another four years of Kaos history with TwoFaced. Gamsahamnida.”
Sihyeon wasn’t a particularly elegant speaker, so the speech wasn’t a product of a spur of the moment achievement by any muse of oration. It was actually what he’d prepared beforehand as the closing statement for the end of the fan meeting, but it fit well in the current moment. Sihyeon always prepared his speeches ahead of time – and he was still not especially loquacious, but that wasn’t his style.

Yuchan hadn’t anticipated the gifts either, though he’d suspected that there was some kind of surprise lined up for them because the ‘Special Events’ time slot had been requested to be extended to be longer than what Sihyeon’d planned in the beginning.
Now this was a great idea however, because they were receiving chronicles of their shining moments and how could any of them be unhappy to get such a present? Clapping until the table came to a complete stop in front of them, Yuchan briefly wondered which year was ‘his’, since he thought he’d played a key role in all four years of their activities, but he could investigate his scrapbook and the hyungs’ scrapbooks to compare once they were back in the apartment.
“Gomawoyo, Eunmi-ssi,” Yuchan said as Eunmi handed him his scrapbook, away from the mic so that he didn’t draw too much focus away from the ceremony. That was before the additional announcement though, which surprised even Yuchan. He smile grew brighter at the news that the fans had donated to the shelters – he’d appreciated the scrapbook of course, but that was more of a stroke for his ego, whereas the appreciation of the donations came from an altruistic side of Yuchan that didn’t show up in other areas of life easily.
Yuchan still waited to let Duke make the first official thanks as the leader, but the second Sihyeon was done, he took center stage, figuratively speaking – though he was kind of at the center in a way though not perfectly center stage, because he was standing in the middle of the five Kaos members after coming in second in the rock-scissors-paper tournament this time around. “I’m really touched that everyone’s taken an interest in the shelters and the animals there. I really love the animals and it’s truly rewarding to think that I had even a small influence on making the shelters a better place for them and in making people more aware of animal welfare. Everyone, gomawoyo.”
