as has been stated in a number of places, the more active you are with an important canon, the faster you'll be able to begin the awakening process and earn new attacks and/or weapons. there's no set order on who should awaken first -- it's entirely up to players. if you're active and put in for an advancement, then you'll awaken when you want to awaken. i feel the system will be pretty straightforward, and we as a site won't be waiting on any one character to be picked up and played before others can get in on the action. below you'll find how to go about "cashing in" for an advancement, so to speak.
THE FALLEN STAR --- 5 posts --- this is the very beginning. when your character has made five posts in-character, you may put in for a claim to find a fallen star. once the claim has been approved, one of your ongoing threads will be interrupted, and you will find a crystal crescent moon much like what is shown on the top of the sidebar. this is the first step to awakening the powers within.
THE AWAKENING --- 10 posts --- once you have ten in-character posts you are eligible to put in a claim for an awakening. once the claim has been approved, a thread for the awakening will be created, or an ongoing one will be disrupted, and the character's powers will come into play.
POWER ADVANCEMENTS --- 25 posts + 1 defeated monster --- every twenty-five posts, a character that has been awakened may put in a claim for a power advancement, so long as they have defeated at least one monster in those twenty posts. after the initial awakening there are to be seven possible power advancements to put in for.
THE ULTIMATE DECISION --- 500 posts + all power advancements --- once a character has reached five hundreds posts, and has received all possible power advancements, then they are essentially ready for the final choice. if the appropriate spot is available in the neo-crystal kingdom, then a player may choose to take that position and secure their character's future. if the appropriate spot is not available, then two options are left to the player: one, to freely give up their powers to the person with similar powers, or two, to sacrifice their lives, and give up their powers that way -- as in a final battle with an enemy, monster, etc. if the character chooses to live and simply give up their powers, they will be put down as an alternative should an ill fate befall the one in their spot.
as you can see, this all relies on post counts. the post count is only on in the tokyo forums, so there's no way to cheat the system here. when you've accumulated the set number of posts needed, and are ready to start the awakening process, simply fill out the code below, post it below, and i'll do the rest. if you ever have questions about this, just pop me a pm and i'll help you out.
