where is sailor chibi-moon?
unborn? sailor chibi-moon does not work with our site or the site premise. we will not be dabbling with time travel on this site, and as such, sailor chibi-moon does not exist. another reason has to do with how the neo-crystal kingdom will work and unfold -- if sailor moon isn't guaranteed the position of neo-crystal queen, why allow chibi-moon? although rini might exist in the far future, she may not be born into royalty. be sure to read the destiny forum for more information on how the neo-crystal kingdom works.
where are the sailor star lights and princess kakyuu?
oh, they're there -- they just have different names to fit with the site premise. you'll find them as sailors orcus, hygeia, atlas, and astraea.
why don't you have a silver millennium forum?
because we're concentrating on the present. the past, while aspects of it might be important, it is largely unnecessary. things will be unfolding differently here -- the past will not necessarily repeat itself. on that note, we have decided not to have any silver millennium forums. the silver millennium is not needed to play out the events on this site.
will the past be remembered at all? and how does that work with powers?
no., the past will not be remembered. the stars that each character will come into possession of in-game, are simply harbingers of the powers -- not past memories. the characters will develop their powers with the aid of a fallen star, and naturally, they will take time to learn how to use them. no one is a pro at their powers -- training and practice will lead to new attacks being opened up, weapons being unveiled, and so on.
what's the order for awakenings?
we go by a post count system. the more you post with your character, the quicker your character's powers will be awakened. definitely read the destiny forum, because that will explain what each new post count opens up, and what you will be able to do with your secret identity/corrupted self. this helps keep us from waiting around for someone to take a key character and move things along.
so, i assume the silver alliance is meant to be the good guys, and that the dark alliance is meant to be the bad guys. so what role does the golden alliance play?
actually, you would be surprised to find you're wrong. while in the original versions of the sailor moon genre good and evil were pretty much set in black and white, that's not the case here. each alliance has their own versions of good and evil. each alliance has their own forms of corruption within their ranks -- no one is perfect, which means, really, good and evil is going to be seen in a lot of shades of gray. keep an open mind, because every character has both good and evil within them -- it's what they do with the star within them that will matter in the end. the only true evil to know about would be chaos -- and chaos is an entity, not a person.
what else should i know about chaos?
because it is its own entity, it does not directly influence or rule over any of the three alliances. it might corrupt a few people for a short period of time, but chaos usually grows tired of the same minions over and over, and will probably break its hold on a person at unexpected moments. people will have to deal with the consequences of their actions while under chaos once the hold is broken, and most will live in fear of being corrupted by chaos again. that essentially means that it is in the best interests of all three alliances to destroy chaos together, but due to various other factors, that may take a lot of convincing before it ever happens, if it even does.
so, then, what's the deal with the stars and their power over people?
the stars are entities that will fall to earth to replay the ultimate battle with chaos. for the most part they've been floating around with no real cares, but now that chaos seems to be back on their side of the universe, well, they're looking to manipulate people to do their bidding. they will fall to earth and change into a crescent moon shaped crystal to be worn either as a necklace, or a bracelet by those who find it. when a person finds a star they will slowly begin the process of becoming aware of the forces around them -- the stars open the souls of each person to awaken the hidden powers and identity within that person. however, stars are quite vain, and can't seem to focus on more than one thing at a time. some stars are holding grudges against one another for what happened in the silver millennium -- hence the reason we have three alliances.
how come i don't see the sailor animamates from the shadow galactica story arc on the lists anywhere?
originally, i was going to put them on the list ... but then i realized i had three times as many females as males if i did that. plus, i had a hard time finding a spot for them in the storyline, and ultimately decided they simply aren't needed. a bunch of other senshi were created instead for each alliance, so why make even more while knowing that the animates aren't really senshi to begin with? instead, we're going to take a page from the live action show: when chaos corrupts a sailor soldier, we will see the dark version of that character. as a dark soldier, the girls will wreak havoc on their own friends and allies, as well as their enemies. this gives us all a chance to play both dark and light aspects of the senshi.
will there be any subplots?
eh, kind of. if you read the blurbs, you'll find i tried to be as creative, and diverse as possible. some have set characters they're involved with in terms of mini plots, some are open ended which means originals may be involved in some plot ideas, but in the long run, am i going to go through and write up a list of subplots? no. it took an extremely long time to write up the character blurbs, and we'll be working with side arcs anyway, so why not let members interpret what's given in the blurbs on the canon lists and run with them however they can? i feel like if i come up with everything, i might as well write a story, which isn't necessarily the point of the role play. if you're still unsure with certain blurbs, feel free to bother me via pm <3
does sailor v exist in this version of sailor moon?
no. since we're going about the awakenings differently, and we're throwing out the past lives, there's no need for sailor v.
what language are the characters speaking?
since we're located in japan, i would say the main language is going to be japanese. that means characters may know other languages based on their backgrounds, prior places they've lived, etc. but the main language here is definitely japanese.
say that my soldier awakens before her general or vice-versa, will the soldier know the identity of her general when she awakens (or vice-versa) ? how will they know that they are each other's soldier/general? o: or what happens when they both finally awaken? will they know each other's identities then?
no.
because we don't utilize "past liveS" it's more like a secret identity type thing. she's not going to have any idea she has a "general" or "guardian" or anyone else. when each person awakens, they're awakening their powers, nothing more. when others awaken, regardless of their alliance, it's their individual decision to let people know who they are. if they want to keep it a secret, even from people fighting on behalf of their alliance, that's their choice.
so essentially, your character may keep their identity hidden for as long or as little as they like.
as for how they will know they're paired up or belong to one another ... there's a non-playable character that will come into play later to explain a lot of what the awakened won't know -- this character will explain about the alliances, the connections with powers, the fight for spots in the neo-crystal kingdom, etc.
but that's further down the road. until then we're merely going to concentrate on how the secret identities affect those within the alliances, how their juggle their double lives, etc. namely, we're concentrating on the emotional/psychological aspects of being destined to fight chaos. the future and all the other slightly more complicated stuff will be dealt with further down the road.
on the topic of guardians, do they have a feeling that attracts them to their respective senshi? i know artemis is kind of putting himself through hell for mina, and i know it says that it's basically because he feels she has to have a supportive role, but does he have an inkling that attracts him to her, even if he doesn't know?
not necessarily. i chose to keep the mina/artemis relationship intact from the manga/anime/live-action show simply because it's a lovely relationship to visit. does that mean that's why he's chosen by the stars as a guardian? not necessarily.
guardians are chosen because the stars that choose them feel they can best utilize that star's power for the betterment of the alliance. the relationships between guardian and senshi might be useful if there's one already in development by the time the powers are awakened, and by the time characters are unveiling their identities to one another, but they aren't necessary.
think of it as a mentor-pupil relationship. guardians are guardians. they're meant to act as trainers, mentors, protectors, and allies to the senshi and generals, and even as connectors between the council and the senhi/generals.
again, when the awakenings first start up -- it isn't past lives being unveiled. there's no such thing here. it's merely the powers awakening within each person -- kind of like mutants coming to terms with their powers for the first time for those that know the x-men verse. characters will be drawn together based on their powers, based on what aim they feel they're fighting for.
that could mean that the beginning alliances will be mixed for the first few months of play -- when the non-playable character comes into play, the alliances will be sorted out, and that could cause a lot of friction for those that didn't necessarily trust one another in the beginning, or for those in different alliances that were working together in the beginning.
nothing is really set in stone in terms of the silvers must fight with the silvers from the very start. it could very well be that while fighting monsters, a silver and a golden senshi will work as a team, actually get along, and then find out later that they basically have to fight against one another -- especially if their powers are drawn from the same star and they'll be forced to fight for that power, or being powerless in the time of the neo-crystal kingdom.
so, no there's no inkling that attracts people together. the stars are choosing people based on what they see inside, and as one person is chosen, chances are that the stars choose people close to them because that relationship makes that person stronger -- people with stronger, more emotional-based relationships (whether good or bad) are gong to "do more" for the stars. they work off the emotions like anger, love, happiness, sadness, etc. so for them it's better to choose people that have some sort of relationship because it makes them stronger -- if they choose people at random, then it's a lot of getting to know you, and that doesn't make the stars stronger.
that's why all the canons on the site have some kind of relationship, even small starting out, because as the game goes on, those relationships should be strengthening or weakening, which goes along with the stars warring against one another, and ultimately with chaos.
what about the colors for the senshi uniforms?
i have them all planned, with some being tweaked so as not to repeat a great deal. they'll be revealed as the soldiers area awakened individually.
Will the stars react to anything like attacks the character is in before they are officially awakened? Or will they be completely dormant until the person awakens?
they'll be completely dormant until their full awakening.
