From a human point of view, the death of Heaven and Hell was quiet. Mortals did not notice any changes, but that doesn’t mean that there were none. Hell has risen, slipping up through the cracks, and Heaven has fallen, burning through our skies and landing them both on our humble Earth. Demons and Angels have taken human vessels and walk among the mortal humans, forced out of their homes for an unknown reason. The Apocalypse? They don't know if this is it. Neither can get in touch with their leaders, the Devil or God, so they are left to wander the Earth helplessly, but not alone. The Undead, Were-animals and Skinwalkers, beings of Hell, are also there, though having been on Earth for quite a while with Hunters on their trail. Mediums can sense these presences; more and more are realizing their power since the residents of Heaven and Hell arrived. Hundreds of other kinds of supernatural creatures roam the Earth. After all beings who couldn't take a mortal vessel have perished, leaving the rest to be imprisoned in the earthly world. Even in small town Texas, where our story takes place, mortals can not escape this otherworldly drama.

THE RULES
THE FALL OF KINGDOMS
From a human point of view, the death of Heaven and Hell was quiet. Mortals did not notice any changes, but that doesn’t mean that there were none. Hell has risen, slipping up through the cracks, and Heaven has fallen, burning through our skies and landing them both on our humble Earth. Demons and Angels have taken human vessels and walk among the mortal humans, forced out of their homes for an unknown reason. The Apocalypse? They don't know. Neither can get in touch with their leaders, the Devil or God, so they are left to wander the Earth helplessly, but not alone. The Undead, Were-animals and Skinwalkers, both beings of Hell, are also there, though having been on Earth for quite a while with Hunters on their trail. Mediums can sense these presences, but more and more are realizing their power since the residents of Heaven and Hell arrived. This is when our story takes place, after all beings who couldn't take a mortal vessel have perished, leaving the rest to be imprisoned in the earthly world.
QUIET BEFORE THE STORM
What is so special about Redgrove? Well it seems to be right next to the almighty dumping place for Heaven and Hell, a randomly chosen stop for the two unearthly worlds to drop off a good lot of their residents. In the four cities surrounding Redgrove people are disappearing all the sudden as the demons and angels rushed to take up a human vessels. The murder rate rose; some of the immortal beings not wanting to deal with their vessel's families or friends. A lot of them got the hell out of there, moving around the globe, but some went over to Redgrove, quaint little Redgrove. Some of the neighboring cities had never even heard of the place, but all the sudden a whole bunch of the supernatural could be found within its dirt roads. Something wicked and unearthly is going on.
BEGINNING OF THE END
Signs of the Apocalypse are beginning to show up one after another. First, during Redgrove’s annual Carnival event in the summer of 2011, the Greek goddess of strife and discord, Eris and her followers attempted to kidnap some of the town’s civilians and take over what is left of the world. Though her might was great and no one saw the plot coming, she significantly underestimated the desert town, and how many wouldn’t be too happy about her taking their loved ones. Eris was destroyed by a vengeful witch, who exposed himself as more than just a bizarre hermit. He destroyed her with powerful black magic. Eris’ loyal follower without a name, known only as Sideshow, suffered a similarly brutal fate. In a hand-to-hand fight to the death, Sideshow was killed by a brave mortal named Laurie Bates, an unlikely hero armed only with a rock to bash his skull in.
The wayward Carnival left the town in disarray. The civilians are confused and the mayor and his company are covering up the supernatural battle. More and more creatures are beginning to realize that now that God and the Devil are gone, anyone can take up the thrones they left behind. A demon named Arabella plots to steal the throne of Hell, the rancorous Greek goddess Hera plans to birth an army of loyal half-gods to follow her and regain her former glory, Leanna Harlaw, a determined and clever human who plans to take over Redgrove’s crime… It’s anyone’s game. However, not only ambitious potential rulers have noticed this, a band of hunters have also.
Just after the chaos in the summer, these hunters caught Redgrove by surprise by poisoning their water with a dangerous and magical toxin that turned all that ingested it into killing machines. Brother turned against brother, friend against friend. The hunters saw Redgrove as a center for evil and a danger to the entire world. They planned to destroy it all in one go, but they did not succeed. Like the goddess Eris, the hunters were driven away by the people of the humble town. Redgrove is becoming a beast that cannot be tamed or mastered, but that doesn’t mean that more won’t try.
