Simon East is a ghost who died when he was in his early teens in 1975. He fell out of the second story window of his house. He broke his neck. No one knows but Simon why he went out the window. He was a very peculiar person, obsessed with dark things. He was bullied all the time and bottled up all that anger until he'd lose his temper. He'd vent his anger in unsettling ways - pulling the wings off flies, setting fires... He was very intelligent, but didn't do well in school. He didn't have any friends, since the other kids were afraid of him. His parents didn't pay much attention to him. His father was always at work or drinking and his mother spent all her time looking after her husband, ignoring their only child. If he had lived longer, he probably would have ended up hurting himself or others, but it isn't over for Simon East just yet. A new family has moved into their house, his bedroom now occupied by a girl named Bethany Oakes. He has made friends with the emotionally vulnerable girl, but all is not as innocent as it seems. Simon is just as aggressive as he was when he was alive, and is manipulating the lonely thirteen year old girl into doing things for him. No one else in the household knows that Simon actually exists, they just think that he is Bethany's imaginary friend. The girl has a history of psychological problems, so no one will believe her.He will turn into some kind of ghostly serial killer eventually, but until then he is enjoying having Bethany wrapped around his little finger. Maybe he could get her to try to bring him back to life? Maybe he could even become undead in a physical body, not just a ghostly one? Bethany doesn't have any magical powers, but she could get in contact with a powerful witch for him. Or hurt people for him? Steal for him? He's a manipulative son of a bitch and knows how to use her weaknesses to his advantage. He is emotionally distant, but acts like he is her friend. They play together and he tells her stories. Though he has kept to himself and Bethany over the years, I can see him branching out more and more, leaving the house for the first time since he died and such. The age, name and played by are negotiable. I can see Asa Butterfield working for Simon, or Lucas Till or Tom Felton if you want to make him a little older (Simon should be under 19 years old please). Stuff like that aren't really important to the character for me, what is important is the serial killer-esque personality, making him the kind of person that would pick Bethany out of a crowd because she is manipulable. played by Kodi Smit-McPhee ∙ fourteen years old ∙ ghost
