From a human point of view, the death of Heaven and Hell was quiet. Mortals did not notice any changes, but that doesn’t mean that there were none. Hell has risen, slipping up through the cracks, and Heaven has fallen, burning through our skies and landing them both on our humble Earth. Demons and Angels have taken human vessels and walk among the mortal humans, forced out of their homes for an unknown reason. The Apocalypse? They don't know if this is it. Neither can get in touch with their leaders, the Devil or God, so they are left to wander the Earth helplessly, but not alone. The Undead, Were-animals and Skinwalkers, beings of Hell, are also there, though having been on Earth for quite a while with Hunters on their trail. Mediums can sense these presences; more and more are realizing their power since the residents of Heaven and Hell arrived. Hundreds of other kinds of supernatural creatures roam the Earth. After all beings who couldn't take a mortal vessel have perished, leaving the rest to be imprisoned in the earthly world. Even in small town Texas, where our story takes place, mortals can not escape this otherworldly drama.

Helga never looked so pedestrian in her life. She was always vaguely battle ready and on the alert, but tonight she had to keep that down. She walked down the street, grocery bags in her hands as she approached. Jeans and a t shirt making her look like quite the soccer mom, a friendly smile on her face. It was a different kind of battle ready. The street was crowded with people, feds and cops. A body had been found in the street only a few hours before. The Tuesday morning turned into quite the scene. No surprises there. There was always something going on here.
She didn’t go near the crime scene, but instead went up to a quaint looking home. She fumbled with her purse a little bit; smiling at one of the cops or feds or whoever they were that offered to hold her bags for her while she opened the door. She politely declined, finally getting the door open at all. She waved goodbye and entered the home, setting the grocery bags down on the coffee table in front of her.
Her acting career was over as quickly as it started.
She slipped out of her flip fops and dug through the grocery bags to the bottom, pulling out her chosen weapon – a subtle meat cleaver. Well, not so subtle, but she needed something that was small enough to go right past a herd of cops and feds unnoticed, something quiet and wouldn’t be too strange if found on her. Besides, it had a certain dramatic quality to it. She liked that.
There was an undead woman in this house. Helga knew it. She had been tracking her for some time and knew that what was left of a body outside was eaten by this undead woman. Burning is the best way to get it done, but there was no way that Helga could burn this woman completely before someone would notice the house was on fire or the woman got away. Helga needed to butcher her first - so the creature couldn't run- and then burn the house. She also thought about cooking the monster in the oven, but the smell would give her away and would take far too long to completely destroy the body. The only option was drastic. Helga knew the woman was somewhere in the home, probably passed out drunk. She had just seen her stumble back into the back of the house not too long ago. This was her chance.
Then the doorbell rang.
