Jasmine White didn't like crowds. In crowds, there were too many opportunities for her well structured self control to unravel. There were too many individuals were breathed and lived and pumped blood through their veins for her to ever be comfortable around them. It had been years since she tasted the likes of human blood, but Jasmine could never be completely confident in herself to handle large clusters of people. It was safer in her self seclusion, no matter how lonely she became some days. In those days, she just thought about Frank and those few months she had with him.

Necessity, or rather her need to read something new, drove her into crowds. She had to reach bookstores in order to find something new to read. Libraries offered her little. Most of the books in the library she had already read at one point or another. Bookstores came out with new titles all the time. Life was kept interesting by new things.

She walked through the shopping village with a serious, almost expressionless face. Her dark hair was left on its own, laying about her shoulders and her golden eyes flitted observantly about at individuals passing by. Her pale skin was played down by the pale, pink t-shirt she was wearing and the light, ripped jeans. Her arms hung by her side as she stopped to look in the window of the bookstore. It took her a moment before she decided to walk into it. It was a small town, so Jasmine knew that her selections would be few. Small towns were her preference and she didn't fight with what they offered.

Jasmine walked into the store, snorting in a bit of annoyance at the bell that alerted her presence. She pretended to ignore it while contemplating ideas about how to destroy it without causing a scene. She headed to the new release section, picking up one book and reading the back. Ironic how the book she picked up was a gothic, semi-romantic novel about a vampire. What was so appealing about her kind? Jasmine would never know.

A nervous soul shifted through the crowds. Deep brown eyes glanced about. Not only was the man scared around crowds he was a bit claustrophobic too. A few girls smiled as he walked by but they were ignored, after 1,000 years most women just didn't get a reaction out of him. He did understand why they liked him though. Many a girl had explained it to him. He was attractive. Longer dark hair with his deep eyes. They seemed like endless pools. Teddy, he had an awful sense of fashion though. You could always find clothes that clashed against one another on him. Luckily some people had helped him choose outfits that worked with each other instead of against each other and he wore them.

A small bookstore caught his eye and he went him. The bell on the door rang alerting people of his presence, Damn. his voice thundered through his mind. He looked around and smirked. No one had seen him, much less looked up. He looked around the small bookstore until his eyes rested on a familiar face and his whole body relaxed. A smirk lit up his handsomely chiseled face and he snuck up behind her. He ignored the strange looks from people and he paused behind the girl. A silent snicker escaped his mouth. Teddy's hands wrapped around her sides and he tickled her. He knew that it would get a jump out of her. He had known her for only a year but he still knew what could get a reaction out of her. He smirked as she jumped and he stepped back, in case she had a reaction of hitting him.

She hadn't heard him come up behind her. She knew there had been another to enter just a few second before the bell of the bookstore, but Jasmine had foolishly ignored it. She was too busy amusing herself over the silly little vampire novels. It was so romanticized and all those fools that dressed as Dracula at Halloween; it was absurd. They thought it was a game when it was reality. Not 'Dracula' reality but similar.

Jasmine didn't realize someone was so close until hands were on her waist, trying to tickle her. Involuntarily, she jumped and using the book in her hand, turned to hit her attacker. Jasmine stopped herself when her vision caught sight of one Teddy Underwood. She stood frozen for a second in her position contemplating actually smacking him, but decided against it. Instead she just gave him a look and put the book back where she found it.

"You can't just sneak up on people." Jasmine tried to scold, but she couldn't help but make it a goodnatured sort of tease. She was glad to see the other vampire. There was safety in numbers and safety in the respect that there was another person just as nervous around groups of people.

"What are ya doin' in here?" She asked, cringing a bit when her southern accent started coming through.

He smirked as she turned around to hit him. He gave the thick book in her hands a cautious look before sitting down beside her. It was a thick book, it would hurt if she hit him. A read the title and a sneer came onto his face, Don't you get enough of that in the real world? He glanced around to make sure that no ears were trying to catch their conversation.

He shrugged at her first words, he knew she wasn't mad. The tone of her voice, the grin on her face. It was hard for Teddy to get Jazz mad. His boyish face and personality all combine into someone who is hard to be mad at. Like a puppy who got into your best pair of shoes. You scold him but when he looks at you, it's like you have to stop and pet him. Execpt with Teddy you don't pet him, you just foget about what he's done.

A laugh came out of his mouth as she spoke. She hated her accent and Teddy had fun making fun of her for it. [B]Nothin' much. Just lookin' for some comp'ny. What ya'll be doin' here.?" A smirk came back onto his face after he finished.
