Carmen had taken Tanya's advice to go see the others and talk to them about what she had done. Carmen decided she would talk to Kate first. Her movie was over so she got up and walked up the stairs. Carmen walked down the hall till she got to Kate's door and knocked. Not wanting to intrude on her.
'Please don't let her be too mad at me. I couldn't take it and I'm so sorry for what I did to her, all of them.' Carmen thought and hung her head a bit waiting for the door to open.

Kate had pretty much gone into a minor depression whenever her sister, Carmen, disappeared. She rarely came out of her room, and when she did she didn't stay out for very long; just enough to let her family know she was still alive. And in her time of being locked away into her room, she had grown somewhat weak and weary. Nothing a good hunt or two wouldn't fix.
When news that Carmen was back, Kate was elated. Then she was mad at Carmen. And then that angered was directed on the werewolves and once again directed toward herself for throwing a pity party. She locked herself back into her room and refused to come out until she had became better, stronger again.
At the moment, she was laying down motionlessly, staring up at her ceiling, Wings of a Butterfly playing lowly in the background. When she heard the knock, she nearly muttered a 'go away', but decided to get up and let the clan know that yes, she was still alive, and yes, she was feeling better. She slowly got up and opened the door. Her eyes lit up for a moment when she saw Carmen before her expression went neutral again. She wordlessly moved out of the way, granting her sister access to her room.
"Yes?" She asked softly, closing the door once Carmen was inside.

Carmen smiled at Kate when she opened the door and then seen her sisters face go back to neutral. 'I'm going to have to change that.' Carmen thought and walked into the room. She went over to Kate's bed and sat cross legged on it. "Kate we need to talk. I know you still mad at me and all. I guess I deserve it but I just want to talk it out and try to get you to forgive me or at least come out of this room and spend time with the rest of the family." Carmen said and took a deep breath. "Sit down with me." Carmen said and patted the bed beside her.
Carmen hated that she had made Kate this way and because she caused it she had to fix it. She was going to even if it took all day long. But Carmen didn't think it would but if it did she would fix it.

Kate watched her sister walk to her bed and sit cross-legged. She listened to her wordlessly, feeling a small pang of sadness. She had sort of been neglecting the family as of late, but she mentally shook her head and shrugged it off. She probably could retreat from the safety of her room to spend time with her family, and act it off as if she was as strong as she once was before the whole ordeal happened. Maybe she could do it, but she still needed another night or two of hunting.
She walked toward her bed and sat next to Carmen in the spot she had patted and crossed her legs. She remained silent for a moment before she looked at her sister and wrapped her arms around her. "Why, Carmen?" She asked softly, burying her face into her shoulder.

Carmen was startled when Kate wrapped her arms around her and asked her why. She didn't know why, she just did it. Carmen hugged her back and rested her head on Kate's. "That I don't know, I just did. I tried calling many of times and I thought that the Cullen's would of told you but I guess they didn't. I'm so sorry I caused you this much pain Kate. I'm so sorry. I'm never doing that again, ever." Carmen said and took a deep breath. Carmen hugged Kate closer. "I know it will never make up for what I did but the best I can do now is just say I'm sorry and that I won't do it again." Carmen paused. "Can you ever forgive me?" She asked Kate still holding her close.

Kate probably would've been crying if she were able to. All she could do was nod as Carmen talked and move closer to her. She took a deep breath and tightened her hold on her sister. How she wished the words 'I forgive you' could've just flowed off her lips when Carmen asked her. But sadly, they didn't, and Kate's mind was reeling with thoughts. She sighed.
Kate moved away, but grabbed her sister's hand. Her eyes, which were a shocking mix of onyx and golden stared into her sister's. Her neutral expression slowly melted, leaving her with a smile. "I forgive you," she whispered and hugged her sister tightly. She wasn't really mad anymore, that was pushed aside to the joyous feeling knowing her sister was finally back home and safe.

Carmen had let Kate move back. She thought she was going to do something to her but she didn't. She took her hand and said that she forgave her and she hugged Carmen again. "Thank you." Carmen whispered to Kate. Carmen hugged Kate back, rocking her a bit. She knew she hurt from Carmen leaving and Carmen vowed never to do that again as long as she lives. Which should be for awhile at least. Carmen smiled at that.
"It's going to be okay Kate." Carmen said and kissed the top of Kate's head and kept rocking her.

Kate simply nodded at her thank you and closed her eyes as Carmen rocked her. She felt better now that her sister had came to her with an apology. She knew things would quickly go back to normal as soon as she quit being a recluse, which would be now. For someone her age, Kate felt like a new born because of how she acted. She would have to work on her emotions to not let them get the best of her.
She gave her sister a light squeeze at her words, and relaxed further when she felt the kiss atop her head. "Of course," Kate whispered with a small nod. "So," she began slowly. "How have you been lately, sister?" She asked, trying to change the subject to hopefully a better one as she pulled away again.
