There will be times in your life, many times, that you will want to scream. You will desire nothing more than throwing back your head, snapping open your jaw and screaming. And amongst all of these times, almost every time, you will not. You will keep your mouth firmly shut, hands balled into fists, and bury the scream inside of you. It will grow there. Year, after year. Week afer week. Until finally... it's almost as if it's a living presence inside of you. Gnawing on your organs, and mocking your inability to show emotion.

Or maybe that was just Tanya's problem.

What exactly was the purpose of a country mall in the first place? All they sold here was fishing material, deer heads, rifles and the such. Sure, she imagined that people would enjoy stopping by here once and a while to pick something up for their redneck hobbies. But... damn, the place was just so big. Almost the size of your typical small town mall would be. She couldn't fathom why one would need so much of this crap.

However, she had discovered that the place had a pretty good selection of books. And Tanya was in desperate need for a better book. So, we find her now. Fighting back the scream, wishing vampires could cry, and looking for a good read amgonst a bunch of country hicks.

Izza wandered aimlessly through the country mall simply for something to do. Most of the people she normally spent her time with were unavailable for some reason or another, and so she needed something to do to occupy her time. She'd already taken a run that morning -- the whole reason her hair was a mess currently, but the girl truly didn't care -- and found she had little more to do than that if she wanted to stay out of her home. Rather sad, I would think.

The small blonde frowned as someone ran into her, biting back a snarl. "Could ya watch where you're going?" She queried, brow furrowed in annoyance. The much larger man just looked at her before continuing on, and she had to resist the urge to give him a piece of her mind. And maybe her shoe up his ass for emphasis. Sneering, she continued on, trying not to let the other rednecks gathered around her get on her nerves. She was already on edge from more than one incident like the one she'd just had.

Izza stopped in her tracks suddenly, her nostrils flaring as a scent she could place anywhere drifted into her olfactory senses. The sweet, too sweet, scent of a vampire. The natural instinct to hate the entirety of the species had always overridden her logical mind, and she snarled, startling a woman that was walking past her. Her dark brown eyes had gone black in reaction and she looked around, following the scent to one of the many racks of available books.

Tanya jumped a little, now-black eyes roaming until they landed on small, angry looking blonde girl. She'd known the werewolves that scattered Denali, had a few run-ins with some of them that she'd like to forget. But this one seemed new. Unused to all the power she had inside of her. Like a newborn snake, who couldn't control the amount of venom they injected when biting someone.

Twice as deadly as any of the others. And looking like she was out for blood.

Eyes never leaving the girl's, Tanya slipped the book back onto the shelf and stood, very still, looking very calm. That disgusting, reaking smell of wet dog wafted in and out of her senses, and she thought she'd be puking if that was vampiricaly possible. Instead, she merely smiled. Many, many years of life had taught her that everything needed to be respected. Even animals such as these.

"Hello, child." She spoke in calm, clear tones. Showing she meant no harm. But her deffensive stance didn't change. Neither did the black abyss of her eyes.

Izza stopped as she met eyes with the vampire she'd been seeking out. She hadn't been looking to start a fight, and still didn't intend to if it could be avoided, but she had wanted to check. To see the color of the other creature's eyes and see whether it was maroon or gold. Or black, making it difficult to tell the difference between those two colors. Just as this female's were, and that put the blonde slightly more on edge than she already was.

She resisted the urge to snarl at being called a child, having a feeling that no offense was meant by it. To this creature, she may have very well been a child, after all. "Hello," Izza replied, her voice low but not threatening. Her posture was tense but she didn't take a defensive stance, choosing to try to make herself feel as un-awkward as possible. To act as if to start a fight now would certainly cause a scene she didn't want to deal with. Or have to get scolded for later by Will.

Her head nodded slowly, eyes changing back by small increments to their pretty blue color. Odd, she knew, that a vampire should have blue eyes. But she always had. They simply got darker when she was hungry, or incredibly pissed off. Or, you know, when a werewolf crept up on her like this one had.

"My name is Tanya. May I inquire yours?" Her eyes left the blonde, not wanting to seem to intense, and she looked at the titles of books on the shelves. Finding one that looked interesting, she opened it up and started to read the summary. About a girl named Max. Something about a school and a boy named Iggy. Iggy was a funny name, Tanya thought to herself. But, then again, so was Eleazar, and she loved him to death.

She looked once more at the child from the corner of her eye, putting the book back to reach for another one.

Izza fought to keep her face expressionless, but her eyebrows rose slightly as she watched the vampire's eyes slowly turn from black to blue. The change surprised her, and she found it a bit odd. The girl had never seen blue eyes on a vampire before and she began to wonder if she'd scented out the wrong person. No, this woman had that distinct, disgustingly sweet smell that was attributed to the Cold Ones.

"Izza," She responded, her voice still low. She turned her eyes away from Tanya the other woman picked up a book, feeling suddenly uncomfortable for some reason unbeknown to her. The blonde rarely let situations such as this bother her for any reason, but it seemed this one had slipped past her barriers. "Pardon my barging up to you," Izza apologized suddenly, but didn't lose the tense air surrounding her. "Instinct kicked in."

Tanya nodded in understanding. "I appreciate your honesty and self control. I'm sure every sense in you is screaming to attack me right now. The fact that all you're doing is standing there in warning shows me how human you animals might truly be." She bit her tongue and cocked her head for a moment. "Forgive the term, but I've never quite known how to describe you. As I'm sure you find the same problem with mine, I doubt that will cause a problem, true?"

Tilting her head back to the books, she grabbed a thin romance novel and took three steps towards the werewolf. Never, in over a thousand years of living, had she been able to understand the hatred she had for the dogs. She'd denied her blood lust, turned away from the path of darkness, and still... they brought back her very core of vampiric ways.

And for this reason alone, she feared them.

"If I had the others interfering, they would be yelling louder than my senses, I assure you," The small blond responded, the slightest of smirks settling onto her features. She nodded to the woman's next words, bt made no verbal response. Izza tried to control herself and the way she refered to creatures such as the one before her. But she was still more loose-tongued than some despite this want for control.

They all sent her senses into a frenzy. It didn't matter if they drank from humans or animals -- that made absolutely no difference to the most primal side of her nature. Their mere scent hrew her instincts into chaos. They sent tremors down her spine and caused her eyes to fade to near black. And when she tried to control herself in times such as these, that made for such a tough time. Especially since she had only first changed almost six months ago -- it wasn't enough time for her to get herself under the tight control that say, Will had.
