Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, on the corner of Merivale and Glenelg Streets, South Bank, Brisbane The Gen Con™ Australia event opens on Thursday, July 3rd, and runs until Sunday, July 6th, 2008. These dates coincide with the school holidays across the entire Eastern Coast of Australia. Guests of Honour include Tracy and Laura Hickman, longtime Browncoats and creators of the "Out in the Black" Serenity role-playing game. Gen Con™ is many things to many people. Gen Con™ is a trade show, a social gathering, and place to learn about the latest releases. It s a place to learn new games systems, and even to partake in fierce competitions and tournaments. Mostly though, Gen Con™ is about having FUN! Gen Con™ is a gaming convention which started in the USA approximately 40 years ago in Lake Geneva as a meeting between friends to play games. Today there are Gen Con™ events run throughout the world in Indianapolis (USA), California (USA), Paris (France), and the United Kingdom.
