It's not in the news. The police have actually managed to keep this one out of the media, and that is a good thing. The last thing anyone wants is for this to get out. Mass panic is never a good thing.

There have recently been a rising number of attacks on humans, with the victim ending up infected with lycanthropy. It's not the usual attack. This one is done with a hypodermic needle.

The police have no clues, no leads, and no suspects. Whoever, or whatever, is behind these attacks is like a phantom. The victims remember almost nothing or their assailant, aside from a soft and scratchy voice. They don't know if the attacker was male or female, any defining characteristics, or anything else. The only thing that seems to be the same across the board is that all of the attacks have come from behind while the victim was alone.
