“ Malachite Park
Marking the beginning of the downtown area, Malachite Park is a huge region taking up two big blocks and spanning just under 360 (that's about the size of a football field) feet long. Why all that space? Malachite is home to three key areas; a peaceful, serene sitting area - complete with duck ponds, benches, water fountains and bicycle pathways- a sporting area, which includes a baseball diamond, a basketball court, outdoor swimming pool and an area for skate-boards, as well as a smaller, more close-knit area used as a playground for children. The whole park is filled with numerous trees and flowers. It looks especially beautiful in autumn.

“ Ristorante Il Sorrento
Ristorante Il Sorrento is pretty much one of the classiest restaurants around, someplace you'd take a date to make a good first impression. Specializing in Italian cuisine, it's even more renowned for its spectacular and unique desserts. Despite its spacious building, decorated with antique Italian furniture, sculptures and paintings, Il Sorrento usually has a really long waiting list and limited seating, so make sure to reserve. The dress is sophisticated, so you can bet that if you show up in jeans or scuffy running shoes they'll kick you out.

“ Cafe Sovereign
A modern, quaint eatery situated right next door to Il Sorrento, Cafe Sovereign (or, as the locals refer to it, Cafe S.) is popular for its exquisite cheesecakes and gourmet French coffees. It's decorated just like any coffee shop; modern, with a relaxing feel, and Cafe S. offers the luxury of an outdoor terrace. Most of the popular teens can be spotted hanging out or meeting up here.

“ Blackout Lounge
Blackout Lounge is one of the hottest clubs in town, frequented by flocks of underage teens. The bouncers usually don't ask for IDs, but in case they do (and in case you don't have your handy dandy fake ID with you) getting in is as simple as slipping them a teeny tiny bribe. The interior of the lounge consists of three floors; the first is a bar and lounge area, usually with little or no music playing. The second is the club area, with a dance floor, disco ball, light show, and the hottest DJ du jour. Finally, the third floor is the private VIP area, with a bar, a DJ booth (you'd have to hire your own DJ for this, of course), a dance floor and numerous comfortable sofas. Each floor is decorated with only the most modern of furnishings.

“ Sassy's Diner
The second you step in, it's like you've been teleported back to the 1950's; vintage posters of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, various pin-up girls and Coca-Cola hang just about everywhere, the seats are a plush, fake leather with some kind of creme/aquamarine color scheme, and the washrooms are marked Dames and Dudes. Despite its somewhat cheesy feel, people flock to the diner in numbers... Sassy's is home to possibly the best home-style fries and handmade cheeseburgers around.

“ Club Orchid
Club Orchid is located across the street of it's main competitor, Blackout Lounge. While Blackout has a somewhat more sophisticated feel to it, Club Orchid is the total opposite; hip-hop blasts from every speaker, the floors and walls are made of wood with randomly placed mirrors, the speakers are huge and placed in each and every corner, and pretty much the whole floor is the dance floor. It's a lot more fun, and a lot easier to get into, than Blackout. But just watch out for the owner, who can spot under aged teens like it's nobody's business.

“ Opal Cove
Near the rock formations of Brighton Point, is Opal Cove, named so from the beautiful, crystal-clue ocean water. This is truly a great discovery. The beaches are so golden that when the sun shines on the sand, it looks almost white in color. Surrounding the area are huge cliffs that are perfect for rock climbing, though it is suggested to have someone with you, just in case. Because it is a secluded spot, the only way to get to it is by walking across the rough rocks on a narrow, nature made pathway or by boat. One of the things that this place is famous for is dolphin watching, due to its clear waters.

“ Waverly Beach
Home to the good-looking bodies, Waverly Beach is the place to see and be seen. People come here to surf, swim, or just to relax and lay out upon the sands. This is also one of the best places in order to go and have a picnic with the ones you love or play volleyball, if that is your desire. The water is always a glistening aqua while the golden sand provides a calming sensation for those who need it. If one looks closely at the sands, they will notice shells scattered about the area. Many come to collect these shells as a priceless reminder of their day here. For those who really need it, there are umbrellas for rent in order to keep you cool.

“ The Pier
Being made from wood, the pier provides a perfect spot to get close to the ocean without actually going in it. Being rather wide, it provides a good amount of space for all types of transportation such at bikes, skateboards, walking, etc. however, motorized vehicles are not allowed. For the most part, there is a smooth flow of traffic though, during the summer hours, the pier is unusually crowded. Most commonly, when not busy, people are seen fishing here, trying their best in order to catch that award winning fish that they have been dreaming for.

“ Brighton Point
It is at Brighton Point where a person can see as far as they wish. The point has long golden grasses upon it while at its peak, there is a fence around it with a sign that says: ‘Do not lean against fence’. Although some do not know why this is there, many know about the myth that surrounds this infamous point. According to the myth, a heartbroken girl jumped to her death to the pointed rocks below. Even though there is not proof of this, some people have claimed to see a woman in red or to hear the wailing of a mournful woman. Even if this myth is not true, this is an excellent spot for looking at the stars.

“ The Boardwalk
You didn't see a board for the local ice cream shop? The small arcade? The house of mirrors? Well thats all on the board walk, trust us. Down the board walk there are street entertainers as well as vendors, and many more places to check out or eat at. There are also a few hotels on the board walk. For all the boards that don't have their own place: this is the place to post in.

“ Oceanside Grill & Sushi
Owned by a native Corona family, this restaurant caters for lovers of the likes of a sirloin steak and spicy tuna rolls, with an addition to a wide range of beverages of all kinds. It’s open to families, couples and friends alike or just a solo bit to eat. The prices are affordable with a small selection of pricy stuff, mainly alcohol. It’s got a homey feel inside with a touch of classic California, and also has a balcony eating area with a perfect view of the beach. The location itself is just before the boardwalk, so you can dine then take a walk either along there or take the path that leads down to the beach itself.

“ Casa Del Mar
The name doesn't lie. There are people that live in Corona for the beaches, and if they have enough money, they buy themselves a nice house on the beach. Casa del Mar is a private community that has oceanfront homes of every size and homes that sit on the sound. This is probably the most beautiful community in Corona.

“ Crystal Acre Estate
Crystal Acre Estates is home to the best of the best in Corona. These homes are the ones that you imagine in even your dizziest daydreams. Manors. Mansions. Castles. The sight of these homes makes any normal person's mouth water with excitement. The lucky citizens that live here are the people that most likely have never-ending pay checks. They have more money than most people will ever even get close to having.

The Heights are the city's upper class, high-end apartments. They're classy, and sit right near the beach. Each resident has a balcony that overlooks the ocean. If you're rich enough to live here, you wont regret it.

“ Los Angeles
Just a short distance away is one of the busiest cities in California, Los Angeles. Many citizens travel to L.A for business, or so they would have you believe; while others go for pleasure. Whether for a day trip or an extensive stay the city is open to whoever chooses to visit. Just don’t give Corona a bad reputation.

“ Lake Maria
Think of this as a miniature version of The Hamptons in New York. It’s not as amazing as the Hamptons, but you can bet it can measure up. Lake Maria is a very large lake which is leech-free and completely safe to swim in. Around Lake Maria is a very long nature walk, where many people tend to find very relaxing. Scattered around the perimeter of the lake are cabins, which vary in size, shape and price. You can rent these cabins and spend a fun weekend with your friends or even rent it for a long period of time and just relax!

Cabin #1: - Holds 3-4 People
Cabin #2: - Holds 1-2 People
Cabin #3: - Holds 5-8 People
Cabin #4: - Holds 4-5 People
Cabin #5: - Holds 2-3 People

“ The Rest of the World
The world does not revolve around Corona like many of its citizens would want to believe. Beyond its borders lies a much larger community that Coronians are a part of, and happen to wander out to whenever they feel like it.
