the Last, BOSCH saga 10b

He felt it in his gut, that sensation that the situation was getting dire. Suriumon banked around the side; Enix stayed where he was, drawing one of his guns and aiming down for ShineGreymon.
"Absolution Crescent!"
"Magnum Crusher!"
Joining in the symphony: "Darkness Blaze!"
And shortly after: "Angelic Claws!"
And after a split-second: "Reflective Aura!"
A barrier formed around ShineGreymon, coalescing into an orb of green energy. All of the incoming attacks bounced against it and dissipated, and with a cry the entire energy ball suddenly erupted, sending shards flying at all of the Digimon.
Suriumon cried out and tried to defend himself, but the energy shards ripped past and into him, sending him flying back and slamming into the ground. Enix, above, tried to form his shield, but the crystals merely penetrated and cut into him, sending him nearly spiraling to the ground as well. He corrected himself before he had fallen too far, managing to stay airborne because of it.
So it went with the others.
And as soon as they were hit, ShineGreymon twisted in the air and shot away again, putting substantial distance between himself and his opponents. All he had to do was hold out for a little while longer--

Wingman cursed under his breath. This was getting rediculous. ShineGreymon knew his time was up, so why not accept it. Why not face his destiny head-on?
"Why does this guy have to be so stuborn? Angelic Claws!!"

Kaidis took the hit and spun in midair before coming to a standstill once again. He could feel the growing darkness and had become very tense. They didn't stand a chance now but Kaidis wasn't going down without a fight. He picked up speed and took off after ShineGreymon. His enemy was a lot faster than he was but he had an idea. He attempted to intercept ShineGreymon but his movement was so eratic that this too seemed out of the question. He tried it anyway and took a deep breath
"Desolation... Blaze!!"
He unleashed the blast while Bosch desperatly searched the room for something he could use to distract their enemy...

"Wingman," SeraphSuriumon growled, shooting by him, "you and I should have a talk about 'destiny' one day. Harsh Warning!"

Lances of white energy shot toward the ShineGreymon, and he twisted around, the flames around his body catching much of the attack but dissipating after a moment, allowing Suriumon's blow to still nick through his defenses. He hissed and banked hard right, Wingman's attack sailing past, but he found himself right in position on Kaidis' flame burst.

He growled and turned, preparing to strike at Kaidis, but instead found that MechaArashidramo was closing in on him, blade at the ready. How fortunate that he had turned at just that moment; it gave him opportunity to turn and raise his own blade, not to intercept the storm dragon but to bring a sideways slash against him, using the dragon's forward momentum against him.

Enix was sent flying from the attack.

ShineGreymon inhaled sharply and crumpled slightly, his armor bent inward and digging into his flesh. He couldn't give up now, though, not when he was this close..

Wingman took notice of ShineGreymon's condition as Enix was sent flying. ShineGreymon was slowly losing it. A few more successful hits from either himself, Enix or Suriumon, and this was probably over. The problem was just that: Hitting ShineGreymon. This guy was fast...faster then any opponent he had ever faced. It was really going to come down to luck here. He took notice of SeraphSuriumon's position and changed his so his attack wouldn't his the Vortex ally.
"Alright, here goes something. Angelic Claws!"

Ancient, meanwhile, kept a keen eye on Bosch, wondering what the heck he was doing...

Upon seeing that they may have more time left than he thought, Bosch stopped what he was doing and glanced up towards Kaidis hopefully, the black dragon was preparing to defend himself against ShineGreymon but their enemys attention had been diverted. Now this could only be good. He took a deep breath and unleashed energy before he lost his chance. It could be the last one he got.

Try though he might, it was painfully obvious to ShineGreymon that it was over. But he wasn't going to go down with a final fight.

A swoop downward, beneath Wingman's claws, and a blaze of energy formed around him as he created a barrier between himself and Kaidis' burst of flame. He looked up to Enix, who had recovered and was rapidly closing in on him, guns at the ready, crying out, "Magnum Crusher!"

ShineGreymon began to slide to the side, but the armor, twisted awkwardly as it was, dug into his flesh, and the bullet bit past his armor and into his arm. The dragon howled out in pain, and the wolf took advantage of the moment, crying out, "Vertigo Herald!"

A stream of energy coalesced into ribbons of light and then shot toward the ShineGreymon, stringing against one another and forming a spear of white-hot light. It whistled through the air, then slammed into the ShineGreymon's chest, and through it.

And all at once, there was no more ShineGreymon.

Flickers of data spiraled into the air. The heavy viral cloud that sat over the area began to dissipate. It was over.

It was over.

Bosch turned away quickly as the finishing blow was dealt. Not only could he no longer bare it any longer but he could also feel a strong Viral energy building up inside of him. He quietly wondered if this was B.O.S.C.H's last stand. just as he felt himself starting to lose it, he was snapped out of it by Kaidis.
"Bosch...?"
Bosch turned round slightly to see the data of ShineGreymon slowly dissipating. He swallowed hard and then spoke.
"Just do it."
Kaidis frowned and then found a suitable strand of data to take in and make himself stronger. When he thought about, it seemed wrong. But then again, ShineGreymon wouldn't have wanted it to be wasted. He turend to face Bosch once again but his Tamer was already walking away. Due to exhaustion, Kaidis returned to his Rookie form and faced everyone else who was still present.
"There's something that needs to be figured out between Bosch and I... Could you guys excuse us for a moment please?"

Ancient watched as ShineGreymon was erased once and for all. The young foxtaur crossed his arms and smirked.
"In you face Hazuro."

Wingman reverted back to his rookie stage before ploping to the ground, exhausted.
"That had to be the most insaine fight so far. Oh man."
Relax Wingman, at least the rive creators are gone. Hu?"
Ancient watched as Bosch walked away. Something was seriously up. Something that he probably couldn't understand at the moment. As Kaidis made his statement, Ancient nodded.
"Go ahead."

Suriumon hit the ground, abandoning his Ultimate form and moving back into his Champion stage. He was tired, but they probably needed to leave the crater; he could hold on for a few more minutes.

He listened to Kaidis, then wordlessly opened his wings again and leaped to the sky, heading for where he had left Chaos.

Bosch contiued for a while longer but in the end, the pain got to him and he came to a stop. He dropped to his knees and returned to human form. He checked himself over but was far from relieved.
"It's not good is it...?"
Bosch could hear Kaidis's voice but did not look round. He stared towards the ground and spoke slowly.
"The Virus... It must be taking all the strength it's got to prepare for it's final stand or something. This is the most human I've felt in all that time but..."
He shook his head.
"It can't last. It won't... I can feel it building up power. I feel sick... I'm scared Kaidis. I'm scared...!"
Kaidis but a comforting arm around his Tamer. It was all he could do. At least for now..."
