Title: A L B U S . Renew
Description: Phase 02.01.04

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:23 AM (GMT)
Phoenix Narsil snapped awake and immediately leapt into one of the trees, crouching on the branch, three kunai knives held between his fingers. He glared off into the distance, teeth set, but was met with nothing but frustration.

"What's up with you?" Suriumon asked suddenly, himself having been roused by the ninja's disturbance in the tree.

Narsil glared down at him, then looked forward, then looked back. "I don't know," he said. "Something's-- happening out there."

"Good job," the wolf mumbled. "You wanna be more specific?"

"I can't. I can't see it." He shook his head, then glared off into the distance. "Just a... feeling."

"Good feeling you have, boy."

His attention turned upward again, and he found himself staring into the red-flecked golden eyes of a white-haired young woman. Beside her, resting in the tree, a three-tailed fox, black and flecked purple.

Pandora was visibly pissed.

"I really shouldn't be surprised," she admitted, leaping out of the tree and landing on the ground below the somewhat stunned ninja. "About the violence that my colleagues are prone to, I mean." She looked over her shoulder and whistled, and Karyxmon soon followed, hitting the ground and standing immediately before Suriumon.

Narsil hissed; "You're--"

"Pandora," she said flippantly. Flashes in the air, but the kunai all missed their mark, and she shook her head. "Am I antagonizing you right now?"

"Tell me," Suriumon suddenly growled, "why we shouldn't kill you now?"

She looked down to the wolf, her frown deepening. "Suri," she murmured. "How fantastic to see you again." He gave off a bark-growl, and she pulled down the sleeve of her coat, revealing a trail of what looked like blackened electrical scars. "Thanks for this," she said acidly.

"You stole something very important to me," he said, just as virulently.

"And to answer your question," she interjected, "there's no reason you shouldn't try and kill me now. I assure you you'll die, though, but if you've already accepted that truth, feel free to do so."

The wolf wanted to respond, but clearly could not come up with the words. She smirked faintly.

"I'm not here to fight," she said. "I actually had half an intention of coming here to run an errand for Edge."

"Nova," Suriumon murmured.

"Correct. Although now that I've arrived, I'm rather disinclined to give him such a nice present. Bow and everything, I had planned." She shrugged. "He'd probably just set it on fire the instant he got it anyway." Her eyes traveled up to Phoenix Narsil. "He's trying to do that to your other half right now, actually."

The ninja frowned. "Other half."

"Nn. Other half."

Suriumon glared at her, taking a few steps away and around before turning his attention to Karyxmon. "Do you speak?" he asked.

"When necessary," the fox responded flatly.

"The rest of your people would probably do well to wake up," Pandora continued, "and try and make their way to Flare Crater as soon as possible. Edge is otherwise occupied at the moment, as are Odin and Zaqueia--" She looked at them. "I'm kind of throwing names around. Alter-Nova, Alter... I don't believe he's among the living anymore, actually... and Alter-You." She pointed up to Narsil. "If you act quickly enough, you might be able to make it to the Crater while Edge is still trying to recover from his bout with his brothers. Catch him off guard."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:23 AM (GMT)
"So.... why are you helping us?" Said Nova stareing at the girl, "Are you... Dopplegangers having some kind of civil war or something?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:24 AM (GMT)
"You come out of nowhere, don't you?" Pandora said. "I take it you heard at least part of that prior conversation. About how your ostensibly evil alter ego is off attempting to kill one of his brethren while another of his brethren attempts to kill him while another-- you get the idea. Three of them, wildly attempting to kill one another." She sighed through her teeth and shook her head.

"Men."

Pandora looked over and grinned faintly. "Ah, original. Good to see you again."

Chaos leaned against one of the trees, glaring up at Pandora and breathing through her teeth. She had looked to be in bad shape before, it was apparent the resting -- and she had actually slept this time, which made it all the worse for her to stomach -- had left her even worse for the wear, her exhausted slouch evident, the bags under her eyes darker. She winced slightly as she shifted her weight to her left arm and held herself up against the tree.

She stood there a long moment, looking at Pandora, and said, in perfect monotone, "I hate you."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:25 AM (GMT)
"I just got a very bad feeling," Simon said quietly, staring up at the mountain.

"Like what?" Caster asked, chewing on a sandwhich. Where he'd gotten the damn thing, Simon didn't want to know-he ws rather focused on the Mountain.

"Like...like there's something very scary there. Also a handful of annoying things, but mostly..."

"I get ya," agreed Caster. "Terrifying dark creatures and whatnot, ya?"

"Good use of slang," snorted Simon. Still...he straighted his glasses and fingered the stocks of his guns. "I don't like this, Caster. Not one bit. We're involved in too much as it is."

"Yeah, but there's something dark and evil around here!" Caster exclaimed. He finished off his sandwhich and then grinned wildly, twirling his staff. "Come on." He advanced towards the stone monolith and, after a moment's hesitation, Simon followed.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:25 AM (GMT)
Near Chaos, the ground began to lift itself slightly. It probably wasn't much to think about, until the area of instability grew wider and wider until finally what appeared like a furred hand emerged from the ground. It then began sreching for something, finally comminy upon a root of a nearby tree. Te hand grasped the root and then, a few seconds later, what appeared to be a fox-like creature emerged from the ground. The creature then gave a major sigh or relief

"Thank goodness I'm a foxtaur, Otherwise that would of taken forever,"

He then looked at the group that was standing near him. There were a few demihumand, like him.

"Uh, you guys may want to shield yourselves. I'm about to do what canines usually do when stuff gets in our fur..."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:27 AM (GMT)
Narsil reacted on instinct, hurling a shuriken at the foxtaur that had just clawed his way out of the catacombs. Thankfully, his aim was a bit off, and the gleaming metal star hit the tree just next to his head. Chaos looked over groggily.

"Little twitchy the-ere did you come from?" she said, noticing the presence of a tall, half-fox man-thing next to her.

"You picked up a mutant friend while you were off traipsing about not doing anything of particular importantce," Pandora said, promptly clapping her approval. "Well done." She quickly turned her attention toward the fox. "Carris, if you'd take an opportunity to run off and wake up the rest of their party. If anybody tries to attack you, just stand there and let them know how hopeless their situation is."

Karyxmon nodded and leapt away, into the short distance where the others were sleeping in their makeshift camp. The got there, came to a stop, and leaned back to balance on her hind legs, forming a small ball of energy in her paws, which she threw into the air. It cleared the canopy before exploding.

It sounded, strangely, like fireworks.

Back among the waking, Chaos had quickly turned to face Pandora again and taken a few shaking steps forward.

"Hey, hey," she growled, "we killed CK while we were out here, so that's one of you down thanks to-- thanks to us doin'-- stuff." Her mind was churning slowly, too slowly to effectively do much of anything. "That's something, at least."

"Something," Pandora admitted. "But hardly enough."

She turned away, plucked one of the kunai stuck to the tree next to her, and began to carve lines into the bark.

"Your party," she said, "is presently composed of..." She looked up, brow furrowed, as she tried to remember what their party was presently composed of. She latched on, and began taking knife to tree, making one long vertical slash for each. "The ninja above me, the boy here, this here wurfox," she intentionally slurred the word as she made the third strike, "the infected girl, CK's sadly living counterpart, a crazy woman with a phoenix, the seraphim of the Guardians, and," a more powerful strike as she pulled down the eighth slash mark, "you, my exhausted infected doppleganger."

Chaos merely continued to glare at her, but the wolf took a step forward. "Infected--?"

"Meanwhile." She made a horizontal slash beneath the first row, and began making quick marks for the rest. "We have myself, Koudet, Luxis, Abikari, AngeKikota, Zaqueai, Odin." Seven marks. "You presently outnumber due to the fact that you killed one of our weaker numbers, and one of our own has already killed another of our weaker numbers. Presently, we risk losing another thanks to the war games being played on the other side of the mountain. Also," she looked over. "You picked up no less than three new members to replace the three that we've already killed."

"You're point...?"

"My point is that you're all a bunch of underpowered useless individuals who have been chased across the island when you should begin taking the offensive in your desperate if ultimately futile attempt to kill us all."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:28 AM (GMT)
Ancient shook the dirt out of his fur and loked at Pandora.

"And what the hell are YOU suppose to be?"

"I'm as clueless as you are Ancient."

Ancient looked at the opening he had created to see his team crawling out: AngeVeemon, an angelic form of Veemon, Agumon, and Eliselmon, a green dragon digimon. Ancient blinked.

"Well, its good to see you guys are alright. That tunnel wasn't exactly stable."

"Yea, we're ok," AngeVeemon stated, "Getting burried down in Darkengard wasn't exactly fun...but I think Haruhi is seriously uneasy at the girl you just questioned."

"Easy there Wingman, we'll figure this out...or...maybe everyone else here will fill us in."

Ancient put on his Guardian Cloak and looked at Chaos, who seemed a bit uneasy about that other figure.

"You mind giving us the details here?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:29 AM (GMT)
Nova looked off to the side noticing the fox thing, another random appearance. But long as it wasn't another doppleganger he was weirdly okay with it. Burrowing out the ground like that he seemed more like a mole. However he largely ignored the foc, a smile appeared on his face as he looked back to Chao's twin, doppleganger, alter-her.

Or what the hell ever they were currently going with.

"Heh, the fact that some you copies are killing each other is actually working out in our favor." He said leaning back on the tree he was currently on.

"And then you come here and tell us we have no chance in hell of actually being able to take anymore of you out. Don't make me laugh, If that the case then why are you here talking instead of doing your job and getting rid of us. The longer we linger around the more of you copies are going to die... or is that somewhat the plan? You did say something about sneaking up on Edge and killing him. As much as I would Love to reed his head from his body, that fact that you are encouraging it feels..."

His train of thought crashed, he didn't know the exact word to use, but something didn't seem right.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:30 AM (GMT)
"Who am I?" Pandora asked, and suddenly moved forward, took Chaos by the wrist, and dragged her over, hugging her tightly at her side and smiling. "This girl's evil twin! Can't you see the resemblance?"

It was becoming increasingly more difficult to do so. Pandora was white-haired and golden-eyed and dressed in black, sharp contrast to Chaos' white coat. Chaos, meanwhile, still had her medium-brown hair and hazel eyes, and looked ready to pass out or die. Or pass out and then die.

"Let go of me," Chaos growled, struggling against her doppleganger's grip. Pandora did so, and the girl immediately staggered forward and half-turned to look over to her.

"As for why I'm telling you this... one." She slammed the kunai into the bark of the tree. "I didn't say you couldn't kill any of us ever again. I said that killing all of us will likely be the death of you lot. Two, there is something of a civil war. Three, I have no loyalty to any of my inexplicably ambitious and violent comrades. Frankly, if they're all dead, so much the better." She shrugged. "I could go either way, though."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:30 AM (GMT)
Nova's eyes stayed sharply on Pandora, something wasn't right, "Then... where exactly is your loyality aligned too then?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:31 AM (GMT)
Pandora smiled.

"You think we just came out of the nothing?" she said. She shook her head. "You can relax a little bit, boy." She sent a glance to Nova out of the corner of her eye. "If I'd intended to kill the lot of you I wouldn't have been kind enough to wait for you to wake up first."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:31 AM (GMT)
Nova sucked on his teeth, and clearly had a look of distaste on his face. He did not however say another word. But his brain was working in overdrive about the matters at hand,

"It's fairly obvious that they aren't created from nothing, if that was the case then we would already be dead. Thing is, we have no idea what is the cause of our doppleganger infestation. And lets not forget the little run in with the airship of doom. This is just too damn much... Who has that much control on this damn island." He thought, confused beyond words.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:31 AM (GMT)
"And if that had been the case, you wouldn't be in much of a position to be calmly discussing it at all, Pandora, was it?" Ray said quietly, leaning against a tree not too far from the group, though on the opposite side, making it difficult to see him for his dark clothes. "If everyone's awake, we can go. Thte sooner we go, the better a chance we have at catching the back end of the 'civil-war' we were just informed of and capitalise on it, right?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:32 AM (GMT)
She looked over her shoulder to face him. "I guess I'd be a bit too preoccupied, Seraphim."

Suriumon took another step forward, glaring at her. "Loyalties or not, you'd just let us kill your brethren?"

"Yes." Marvelously blunt of her. "You kill them, or they kill you, or your collective numbers simply drop. I would be fine with either."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:32 AM (GMT)
Having just woken a small distance away, Roeck and Rouge rejoined the group rather confused at the sudden addition of another female.....who looked rather ominous in many ways.

"Um....." Roeck said as he sudden snuck up on the group, "new friend of yours?" he asked the group.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:32 AM (GMT)
Ancient blinked. This...twin as it was...certainly was an odd one.
"So you basically want us to kill all of your brethern? Sure, that's doable. After all, with the numbers I see here, its possible to take them all out."

The foxtaur then had something pop into his head, something that certainly needed to be answered.

Don't even bother, Ancient. She'll probably backlash you.

Uh...that be the case, I suppose we should be going.

As Ancient turned, he took notice of Ray...mor importantly the Guardian Cloak and how it was fashoned.

"What a minute. Seraphim Ray? Leader of the Mirage Guardians?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:33 AM (GMT)
He ignored the question about his title, as if it would make any difference. "Pandora, the fast we move, the faster someone dies. So how about you further aid your objective of having someone killing someone and tell us how much Edge has changed the Crater?"

Ray, would you believe her?

Dunno, but we need to get moving soon regardless. Fly up just above the trees, see if you can see the Crater entrance from here.
He turned and walked into proper view, while Kam flew up from the branch he was perched on.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:34 AM (GMT)
Ancient blinked as Ray brushed off his comment. Perhapse he didn't like the title and all. Regardless, he was in the presence of the leader of his team. Talk about an honor beyond words.

Ancinet, don't even bother, Wingman said. He's probably more obsessed with the matter at hand rather then introductions.

I guess you're right. Still, being in the presence of your team's leader is an incerdible-

Just concentrate on the matter at hand.

Ancient nodded. This was certainly going to be an interesting trip...

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
She leaned against a tree.

"Not horribly much, admittedly," she said. "It's still hot as all hell in there and it's covered in lava. Of course, with an individual like Edge and his dragon buddy, there wouldn't be much of a need to change the crater. Edge loves playing with fire, and Kai can free-dive in lava much as he likes. I would wager, though, that the lava flow has increased significantly since Edge's takeover."

"I've been through there," Chaos said suddenly, looking up to the ninja. "As has he, and..." She winced, rubbed her temples. "Maybe somebody else, too, but I definitely remember us having to run away from the viral dragon--"

"That's right," Suriumon murmured. "We were getting chased through jets of lava and falls of lava and magma platforms--"

"I got to fight Aurora's evil twin one-on-one on a magma platform," Chaos continued. "In a river of lava. Very hot, very exhausting. Pure luck I didn't get murdered--" She stopped, then glared at Pandora. "Pure luck that you managed to steal--"

"Ah, little girl doomed, if I could steal your pure luck, it wouldn't be pure luck, would it?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
Nova looked over to the Fox thing got totally ignored by the Ray guy and thought, "I wonder if everyone is antisocial on this island." However his attention turned back to Pandora.

"Edge and Kai have gained some new powers since the last you all encountered them, as well as my Indigo Tear." His emotions burned as he said it, he had been captured, and had his Tear stolen. But he had some minor memories threw the Eyes of Edge.

"One top of his old powers, he now has the ower to use a more powerful Azure Flame, as well as some benefits of being a ghost from what I remember, however I can't recall his digimon's direct improvements. Besides the fact that he reminds me of the Fire Temple Boss from Ocarina of time."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:36 AM (GMT)
Pandora stared at him levelly. "You should probably look at your teammates while you say it," she said, pushing off against the tree and taking a step forward to re-stabalize herself. "Good luck in your endeavors, then. Carris!"

The black fox appeared in the tree above the humanoid fox, her tails drooping from the branches. "Mistress?"

"We had--" She stopped for a moment, blinked, shook her head and picked up again. "We had best be off. Things to be taken care of, after this senseless conflict is..." Another pause, as though she were trying to remember the word. "Is... over."

"Of course."

The fox leapt from the branch and ran to Pandora's side.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:36 AM (GMT)
Aurora, still looking rather tired, watched Pandora with a skeptical look and drew both swords. She mustered a little more energy, sharpening her blue-gray stare.

"Wait." She stepped forward, in a nonaggressive stance although she had the blades ready in case something went wrong. "So if you know what's going on here, where is Varomon?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:37 AM (GMT)
The caused her to blink.

"Varomon? Which one is..." She retreated slightly, rubbing her temples to stimulate the thought, and then shook her head. "I can't be bothered to remember any of your names or your Digimon's names," she grumbled, looking up to the girl. "Infected, if you're referring to your dragon, I can't be sure. My communication with everybody has been... somewhat disrupted for the past short while."

"I believe Levi was taking a dragon to the Flare Crater," Karyxmon offered.

"Nn, mayhap," Pandora said, closing her eyes and setting her teeth. "That might be it."

"The water dragon did mention going to the Crater," Narsil offered.

"So she actually did...?" Chaos murmured.

"Such as I understand it," the fox said. "I can hardly imagine why, I can't think of any reason for Odin or Levi to want the dragon. It's probably just being used as a lure."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:37 AM (GMT)
Kasen, standing at the edge of the conversation, watched the spectacle with cool interest. "If you know so much about their plans, why not come with us and fight them as well? As many say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. For now." She gave her halberd a single spin in one hand and returned it to its resting place in her loose grip.

Toku eyed Pandora with a suspicious look, or as much as she could with the metallic helmet blocking most of her actual face. "How many of them are there? Is there a copy of us, too?"

Kasen glanced over at her; she fell silent. Nevertheless, the woman waited for Pandora's response, bringing one hand to her chin, the other across to her elbow.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:40 AM (GMT)
"I said I wouldn't mind if you killed them," Pandora said. "And I also said that I wouldn't mind if they killed you. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, yes, but what happens when your enemy and a couple of people you aren't particularly fond of decide to try and kill each other?" She shrugged again. "What you do is up to you. I'm just waiting for the sparks to settle. I'll mop up later, if I feel the need to."

"You didn't answer her other question," Chaos growled.

"It's not my fault she wasn't paying attention." She indicated the tree bark that she had carved up. "By my count, it's eight to seven right now; our seven. We've killed three of you already. You've killed one of us."

She pointed to each of the lines representing their side again. "Edge, ghost-boy clone of dragon-boy here; Odin, whose original is deceased now; Koudet, original also deceased; Luxis, ditto; AngeKikota, clone of the Overlord, location unknown; Zaquiea, the ninja's better half; Abikari, lovely viral counterpart to the Infected here; and myself, who, I think has been several times over established, is--"

"My clone, yes," Chaos said, waving her hand to shut her up. "Thank you for informing us once again of that pleasant point."

Pandora smiled. "Your friend did ask." Looking back to Kasen, she continued, "No. Far as I'm aware, nobody knew you even existed." Her eyes then raked across the clearing and settled on Ray again. "We did rather want a sample from the Seraphim and the ArchMagus, but sadly, neither of them were available at the time. The ArchMagus still has yet to show his face, the coward--"

"Maybe he's just smart," Carris offered. "I fancy it would be smart to not get involved in this madness."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:40 AM (GMT)
Aurora sheathed one blade and closed both hands around the other, pointing it at the ground, visibly tense. "So if you don't mind us killing your kin of sorts, but you won't help us, what are you doing, waiting until we kill them and then trying to mop us up on your own? What's your game?"

Didn't even know she existed? Who is she, then? Aurora glanced over at Kasen, even more on edge than before.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:41 AM (GMT)
"That sounds about right, actually," Chaos said, turning around fully to face Pandora and taking a few steps back, winding up alongside Aurora. "It's-- it's what I'd do, in this situation. Let the two opposing forces kill each other, then come in after they've exhausted themselves and finish them off."

"And frankly, I feel sorry for your side," Pandora said. "Bunch of humans, your mutant fox-beast friend here, you two with your viruses--"

"You two," Suriumon repeated slowly.

"--ne'er a great bunch of hopeless misfits I've had the pleasure of seeing," she concluded, ignoring the wolf. "Of course, I've only been alive for three days. I haven't been around much." She scratched the back of her neck, sending her gaze to the trees. "And with my kin off and killing each other-- with sibling loyalty like that, we hardly need you lot."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:42 AM (GMT)
'We' wanted, huh? "I wasn't born yesterday, or close enough to it. By the time I was even involved, one of your dear silblings and done that to my island, so I was laying low." He waved a finger upwards, vaguely in the direction of the peaks of Mons Omega, since the crystalised island wasn't visible from under the forest canopy.

Kamidramon dropped down through a gap in the trees, stopping to hover by Ray's side. I can't really see it from here, but it doesn't look like there lava spewing out of the entrance at least.

Then we can transport to the entrance tunnel, hopefully.

"AngeKikota will be the nut on Angel Island, then," Ray muttered. "Where is Kikota, anyway? If he's laying low he's doing a better job than I did."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:42 AM (GMT)
"Mm. He does have a certain flair for the dramatic," Pandora murmured. "And he is also a good man. AngeKikota, I mean."

"The actual Kikota got eaten by the Bog," Chaos said. She took a moment to think about the way it was worded, then tried again; "We were at the castle thing in the middle of the Bog and came under attack. I guess some sort of security system kicked in and the castle was absorbed into Murkwood itself. Kikota with it."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:43 AM (GMT)
Ancient blinked.

"Well that seriously sucks. Despite the fact that Kikota was the leader of the Shadow Empire, we could of probably his his help...however little it may have been. If it was a security system kind of thing, I would think that the castle would most likely be back within Murkwood Bog since that area is no longer under siege. It would be worth taking a look."

"Or..." Wingman implied," We could send a flying digimon over in the general direction to take a look at the area from the air. It would save us a lot of time and evergy."

"And if it's not there?" Haruhi implied

"Well take a look at that road block when we get to it," Ancient stated in a calm manor.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:43 AM (GMT)
"It's not there," Pandora said flatly. "Murkwood itself is no longer under direct seige, the but the island itself is not exactly in the most stable condition. And considering the ruckus going on just next door in the Forest, I doubt the Imperial Castle will be rising from the muck any time soon."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:43 AM (GMT)
Ancient snapped his fingers.

"Crud. Well, I guess we'll just have to take care of the ruckus in Native Forest then."

"And how do you expect us to do that?" Wingman asked.

"Well, we do have numbers on our side...not to mention a decent amount of strength. I say we can do it."

"Yea," remarked Haruhi, "And I'm willing to bet that everyone here thinks you're crazy for puttion that option on the table. Am I correct everyone?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:43 AM (GMT)
Ray glanced over at the edgy Aurora, then back at the samurai human-fox and quickly commented, "We're going to the Crater, first, right? If everyone's awake I should be able to transport us to the entrance tunnel, now."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:44 AM (GMT)
Ancient looked at Ray and shrugged.

"Well, if that's the priority right now, then let's get to it. So...uh...what exactly is down in Flare Crater?"

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:45 AM (GMT)
"I agree," Chaos said suddenly, glancing sidelong at the fox thing. "Going over to the Native Forest is one of the most foolish things I can think of right now."

"Edge is there, presently," Pandora reminded them, "as well as Odin and Zaqueia. You would do best to wait until their scuffle comes to an end and anticipate Edge on his own turf, since, if he survives, he'll be returning there." She closed her eyes and smiled faintly. "Although Kai should be there, too. His dragon," she added, assuming that just as she couldn't be bothered to remember their names, they probably couldn't be bothered to remember everything about their evil clones.

"So a fire dragon's down there," Suriumon put in quickly. "As well as standard fare of magma and lava and heat. The natives--"

"Retreated a while ago," Chaos said. "Remember when we were there? Nothing but our party and--" She stopped, her skin crawling at the thought. "And the virus dragon. And... and Enjou." She rubbed the back of her neck again and shivered. "And Abikari."

"Don't remind me," Phoenix growled. "Not a pleasant experience."

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:45 AM (GMT)
"Who are the last two?" Ray asked, addressing Chaos. "A opposing Tamer and Digimon, or clone entities?"

Under his cloak, he unclipped his Digivice and started to surf through menus blind, about to bring up the map hologram of the island.

Chaos Shadow - November 23, 2008 04:46 AM (GMT)
"Abikari is Aurora's clone," Chaos said, giving her friend and halfway glance over her shoulder and gesturing faintly. "A... fully-infected mutation, I suppose," she said, somewhat quietly. Then, as if she wasn't becoming difficult enough to hear anyway, she dropped her voice a bit lower. "Enjou is neither. She's-- a virus. An Entity, I think the word is secundus..."

Chaos knew full well that was the word she was looking for.

"That is the word," Suriumon said, and suddenly he stiffened and turned to face Pandora again. "Is that it?" he asked sharply. "She was caught by Enjou?"

Chaos turned to stare at him, confounded, and then looked up to Pandora, who shook her head. "No," the white-haired woman said, and her gaze immediately locked to Chaos'. Chaos turned her eyes downward. "No, she's been infected for a little while, and it doesn't stink of an Entity."

It took Chaos a few minutes to register what had been said, and then she snapped to attention. "What?"

"A virus? Well that's new to me." Said Nova looking over to Chaos, "Somebody mind filling me in on the purpose of this... Secundus Enjou lad-- I mean thing?"

Enix appeared in the air, and landed down beside Nova in Champion form. He had apparently been listening in, "And... Who do you think is going to come out on top in this Civil War Pandora? Because if Edge so happens to die I don't want to bother going to Flare Crater."

"News to me, too," Chaos whispered, frowning to herself. That would, at least, explain the growing sickness she had been feeling over the past few days, although she had to admit that it wasn't exactly reassuring. Nor was it reassuring to realize that she had been infected before Enjou had ever touched her; the source of whatever Pandora was talking about was not the secundus, even if the secundus had injected a virus into her.

What had Pandora said all those what felt like years ago, when Chaos had first met her revived doppleganger? One virus agitated another?

Her thoughts, unbidden, flickered to Aurora and her infection, whatever it was, that was consuming her body in crystalline patches of whatever.

"I don't know much about Secundi or Entities," Pandora said. "As for the civil war, there is a reason I suggest you head to Flare Crater to cut Edge off when he returns."

Aurora sighed and put away the other sword. "To answer you, from what I know, Enjou seems to be overseeing Abikari. I don't know anything else. As for what she does when she's not doing that, she lords over the Freezeland's Otherside equivalent. I know she has a superior, whoever the heck that is, but she's the second most powerful person there. Hence the name. That is all from before this clone crap started."

With that, she paced back and forth in her little arc of the vague circle of people, furrowing her brows, eyes drifting from person to person as she thought. The light filtering down through the clouds gleamed off the edges of her crystal armor; it shifted and glittered as it moved along with her skin. The little facets near her eyes twinkled as she looked up to Pandora.

"It's better that we let them fight it out and don't interfere until they're done. Can we intercept Edge on his way back to Flare Crater? As in, not when he gets there, but before he gets there? We don't want to fight something that can use the magma to its advantage. What direction will he be heading at it from?"
