Chaos Shadow - April 5, 2009 12:23 PM (GMT)
...what is it?

Nova - April 5, 2009 12:35 PM (GMT)
The Xencaleon of course ^_^

Chaos Shadow - April 5, 2009 12:45 PM (GMT)
Hah hah wut?

Anyway, attacks deal far too much damage. None of our Digimon have the HP to survive more than a few blows from the enemy, even at Mega level (which Kaidis can't access anyhow), and if the thing has 15,000 HP, it's going to be an endurance fight.

Strike ??? needs a minimum of Charge2; 4k Area Sweep will instantly kill most of the Digimon and cripple anything that magically survives it. And the defensive moves, though not as big a deal since they would break after multiple shots and we have multiple Digimon, should probably be toned down a bit as well.

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 02:07 PM (GMT)
Toned down. I think this one's powerful without being unreasonable (Let's keep in mind that we have six Megas on one side of this thing.

Chaos Shadow - April 5, 2009 02:12 PM (GMT)
I am keeping that in mind.

Although this begs the question, where are you planning on this fight unfolding? If it's still inside the manner, several of those Megas are too large to fight without crushing everybody.

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 02:14 PM (GMT)
This is the section of things I actually had plotted out, thank you very much.

Chaos Shadow - April 5, 2009 02:15 PM (GMT)
And thank you for blatantly ignoring the actual question.

Nova - April 5, 2009 02:17 PM (GMT)
Half of those are Ancient's though.

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 02:18 PM (GMT)
You're quite welcome.

Got to save something for the conclusion to Raidon's involvement in the BOSCH saga, don't I?

As for the Mega thing, that's hardly my fault

Nova - April 5, 2009 02:24 PM (GMT)
Also to mention that many of those Mega's don't have the DP to sustaining a fight of that intensity, not that it really matters oddly.

And pretty much just an excuse to use the BOSCH virus to create something extremely powerful huh?

NOTE: On behalf of the mega thing, just saying i dont like to put anything in a position that depends on one person showing up, and if they dont slows the whole flow of things. I'm a speed battler after all.

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 02:27 PM (GMT)
Actuallly no, but you'll see that pretty shortly.

Chaos Shadow - April 5, 2009 02:35 PM (GMT)
That's still several Megas that we won't be able to rely upon lest everybody dies in a way that doesn't even involve the boss, and the stats have to be tiered down as a result.

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 02:40 PM (GMT)
I'm confused by that sentence, but okay. Should I retool The Black Sword even further?

Nova - April 5, 2009 02:42 PM (GMT)
Wouldn't it be simplier to retool everything once you finish it first?

Chaos Shadow - April 5, 2009 02:46 PM (GMT)
If we cannot use several Megas, due to environmental factors, than they are known to be unusable. These are not circumstances that come up during the battle that make it more difficult; they are a known obstacle. As such, the stats for the enemy have to be tooled to what will be available to use, which is, I think, three Megas (rather than six) and several Ultimates, possibly. If the fight is in the manor, though, then a couple of Ultimates will also be unusable due to the fact that the manor was built to human proportions, not giant lizard proportions.

Knowing what we are capable of given the circumstances, the fight must be based around that capability. So rather than saying, "We can use six Megas" out-of-hand due to the fact that we technically have six Megas, you have to bear in mind that we cannot use six Megas, and tool the stats on the boss appropriately.

And I meant, "That's several Megas we can't rely on, as digivolving to them will result in all of us being crushed against walls, putting a premature and very embarassing end to the quest."

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 03:58 PM (GMT)
Alright, how's this; I assure you that, when the battle is happening between our party and the Black Sword, there shall be enough space for everyone to access their Megas. Satisfied?

Chaos Shadow - April 5, 2009 03:59 PM (GMT)
That was all I was originally asking.

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 04:07 PM (GMT)
I would think my continued assertion that we would be able to use Six Megas would suffice for that. I admit I'm not always perfectly conscientious of space when I RP, nor good at presenting it, but since I went ahead of time to describe the room as being too small for a six-Mega battle I'd think...

Eh, whatever.

Adrian.Creed - April 5, 2009 08:38 PM (GMT)
I'm cringing at this profile.
.... An Axe Lord and a few Shikata beat me down almost to my Rookie stage, so naturally I'll cringe at this.

Time to call in Wingman to be our heavy artillery. Maybe Suriumon will unleash his Mega's?

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 08:41 PM (GMT)
While we're on it, Adrian, you'd best use your DP chip on Starius. You're definitely going to need your Mega form for this battle.

Adrian.Creed - April 5, 2009 09:15 PM (GMT)
Already used it.

>.< I wish I had more stats on them though so they can deal damage.

Grim Wolf - April 5, 2009 09:17 PM (GMT)
I can't help it that you put band before RP, Vega. I would never make that mistake.

...Although we did do pretty badly this weekend. 23 measures of silence from the trumpets on the sight-reading without a single rest in those measures. Quite atrocious.

Adrian.Creed - April 5, 2009 11:45 PM (GMT)
0.o

Holy crap!

A few years ago our director forgot the Coda, and we just kept on playing... Oh Cavalcade Festival, you bring back memories of horrible playing, and ridiculous moments.

I'd harvest everything off of my Armor stage if it was possible to give my mega's a boost.

warriorjames - April 7, 2009 10:05 PM (GMT)
Nova, what did you mean by "Half of those are Ancient's though"? I'm not exactly following that.

And Adrian, I'm not so sure Wingman is 'Heavy Artillery' qualified as of yet.

Nova - April 7, 2009 10:19 PM (GMT)
Percisely what I said, Half the Mega's he mentioned are yours.

Chaos Shadow - April 14, 2009 01:19 AM (GMT)
Pinned until the battle's over.

Grim Wolf - April 14, 2009 01:28 AM (GMT)
What do you mean by 'pinned'?

Chaos Shadow - April 14, 2009 01:35 AM (GMT)
Top of the list so it doesn't get buried. Stickied. Pinned.

Grim Wolf - June 13, 2009 05:20 PM (GMT)
So, Stats? What do you all think?

Adrian.Creed - June 14, 2009 01:12 AM (GMT)
The stats of a regular Sublime, given to each person?

warriorjames - June 14, 2009 01:38 AM (GMT)
A Normal Sublime, from doing a quick look, gives
Stats 550 (Arkadimon SUPER) to 570 (UlforceVeedramon FUTURE) to 630(Apocylamon)
Bits 410 (Arkadimon SUPER) to 450(Apocylamon/UlforceVeedramon FUTURE)

and data for a sublime is...I think 5.

So, yea, that's the range.

Chaos Shadow - June 14, 2009 02:20 AM (GMT)
500 / 400 / 5 to each person, I would say.

Grim Wolf - June 14, 2009 03:29 AM (GMT)
500, really? I thought she was a pretty solid boss.

Chaos Shadow - June 14, 2009 03:52 AM (GMT)
Is 500 not a sufficient number, given that your original post says a maximum of 600?

I don't think it was 600-stat material. A solid boss, but not much of a challenge.

Adrian.Creed - June 14, 2009 03:59 AM (GMT)
Sounds good, I can live with 500.

warriorjames - June 14, 2009 04:14 AM (GMT)
I can live with 500 as well...

Grim Wolf - June 14, 2009 05:30 PM (GMT)
Alright.
