Kaigi: The Beginning

This is something i've been thinking about for awhile. It may turn out good, it may suck, but imma see what happens. It should be the Anime Style, so think of it as a Manga without pictures XD Anyway, here we go.

==Prologue==


'Blurry ... So dizzy ... Gotta make it ... Urgh ... Dad, where are you?'

"Hey, you don't know what you're doing, I can make things good for you. Now just put the gun away."

"Sorry, but I don't accept bribes from dirty politicians."

'Dad ... No ...'

After that, all memory was lost ...

'I remember that man's face perfectly ... Slightly long green hair, an earing on his left ear, He wore a black business suit, and a hat ... It was black ... For some reason, I don't think he was a bad person ... That thing he said ... I didn't think it was true until are realized it for myself. That's why i've given up on this world.'

A young man, about sixteen, was sitting atop a building, holding a custom black pistol with red streaks on it. His hair was brown, about medium length. His eyes were a cold blue, and his skin was slightly pale. He wore a black T-Shirt and black jeans with a brown belt, as well as Black sneakers. He also had a necklace on, which had a silver chain, and on it was what looked like a small version of a Shuriken. He stared at the starry sky, for the night was just about to get started. Suddenly, the young man noticed he wasn't alone, for there was another person standing on the building top.

"What do you want this time Mortis?"

Mortis. A man, about twenty-eight, with short black hair, clean shaved, with fiery red eyes. He wore a black coat, a white undershirt, and black pants, as well as black boots.

"You're needed at the station. Apparently some crooks thought it'd be fun to let loose some of their pals." Mortis said firmly.

The young man sighed and said "And WHY do you need ME for this? Can't you handle it on your own?"

"Normally we could, but this time's different. We have found someone who's not from around here. We suspect he may be your father's murderer."

"Is that some ploy to get me into going? Sorry, I could care less who or what he is."

"But we NEED you there."

"Fine. If it is I guess i'll finally get to talk to that guy."

"Good good, thank you Kaigi. You're help is much appreciated."

"Yeah yeah I know. But why do you need help from a Teenager like me all the time anyway?"

"You know the reason to that. Not only are we low on numbers, but you're not the normal teenaged boy."

". . . So to the station?"

Mortis laughed and said "Yes, to the station."

And with that, the two headed for this 'Station'.


Chapter I


Mortis and Kaigi walked up to a large building, it had a logo on it that said 'Meda-Bolics Center'.

"The Meda-Bolics Center ... Heh. Let's go talk to Lauren. She'll explain everything from here." Mortis suggested, walking forward.

"Awwww come on! You bring me down here about a break out, and now you want me to talk to HER?!" Kaigi complained, dropping his head down.

"Oh she's not ALL that bad . . . Okay, maybe she is, but she's the one that knows most about it." Mortis laughed.

"Fine, let's just get this over with." He said sighing as they both walked into the building.

Inside this building there were Wanted Pictures all over the wall, each for a different type of criminal. It wasn't a fancy place, but it was mostly for holding criminals. The top, anyway. The bottom was for 'Meda-Bolics', similar to Bounty Hunters, but they normally don't kill the target, unless specified to. Otherwise, they just bring them back here and collect their money, while the criminal is sent upstairs to the prison. Although it didn't look the same as usual. Most of the posters were ripped off the walls. Tables were overturned, broken, and so on.

"You guys really had a break out. This place is a mess." Kaigi said looking around.

"You should've seen it before we started cleaning it up." Mortis responded.

"... Now where do you think she ran off to?"

"I am not sure."

"Well what a shame looks like we'll have to talk to somebody else."

"No, you're going to have to talk to her whether you like it or not."

Kaigi groaned and said "Fine."

They then spotted Lauren running up to them. She was about twenty, had shoulder length black hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin. She wore a white blouse with a medium length green skirt, and wore black heels.

'Oh great' Kaigi thought rolling his eyes.

"Hey, I saw you guys walking up, so I thought you might ya know need something because Kaigi doesn't come here that often and all." She spoke slightly fast, but understandable.

"Yeah ... Kaigi here needs to know about the break out. He's gonna help bring back all the people."

"I am?" He asked looking over at Mortis.

"Yes. You are. Well, i'll leave you two to discuss it. Bye!" He said rushing out the door.

"DANG IT MORTIS!" Kaigi yelled as he threw a small knife at Mortis' legs, pinning his left pant leg to the ground, causing him to trip. Kaigi laughed and turned back to Lauren. A shiver went down his spine as he sat down on a chair that wasn't broken. "Now tell me about the breakout ... What happened, who did it, who's missing, all the that."

Lauren sat down next to him and whisphered something silent in his ear.

Kaigi's face turned red and he said "That's why I can never take you seriously." He said placing his head on the table.

Lauren giggled and said "It's only a joke."

"One that you tell too often." Kaigi muttered.

"What was that?"

"Nothing. Anyway, can you be serious now?"

"Sure. All right, so this is what happened from everything I remember;

"It was a pretty normal day, a couple people brought in criminals and such. I was looking beautiful like always, and I was getting a lot of attention from a couple of guys. Then, this guy in a suit came in. He had green hair and a hat. He may have been wearing sunglasses as well. He came in and said 'Where are the criminals held?' So I politely told him they were upstairs. After that, he did something strange with his hands, and suddenly all the criminals went crazy and rampaged out. Before I could get a second glance at the man, he disappeared."

"Huh ... I believe you about most of it. Although I bet those certain guys you were talking to were gay."

Her face turned red as she smiled and said "Not this time. Only one of 'em was."

"Huh. Congratulations on that. Now who were those people that broke out?"

"Well we managed to get some of them. We can handle some of the less tactful criminals, so we'll just be giving you the harder ones."

"Of course." Kaigi rolled his eyes and asked "Who are they are?"

"Get a better attitude Mr., we're the ones that pay you." She said as she cleared her throat and said "We already arranged you a book that has all the names, pictures, and biographies of them. It's right here." She said pulling a black book, about the size of a regular note book, out of her blouse, and handed it to him.

"Huh, so that's why they looked bigger then normal." Kaigi said smirking.

She sighed and said "And you get on to me."

"It's all about how you play the game." Kaigi said taking the book. "Feels warm." He said laughing.

"You're hopeless." she said putting her head on the table.

He patted her on the back and said "Oh don't worry. I'm gonna be gone for a long time. So you won't have to deal with me anymore for awhile."

"I know." She said sadly.

"Well, time to go. Thanks for the info." Kaigi said walking towards the door. He pulled the knife out of Mortis' pants leg on his way and said "Don't ever try to leave me alone with her. You know how she gets." He said walking off.

"Hey, i'm going with you!" Mortis said.

"I work alone."

"I have money to pay for your food."

"Welcome aboard mate." He said smiling and winking at him.

"You're hopeless." Mortis said sighing.

"Any OTHER guests I should know about?"

"Yeah. Lauren." Mortis said laughing.

"ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?!" Kaigi asked.

"Yes. She's the one who has the money."

"THEN WHY THE HECK ARE YOU COMING ALONG?!"

"Because it's MY money. She's just the one who's holding it."

"GET SOME FREAKING BALLS AND HOLD YOUR OWN MONEY MORTIS."

"..."

Lauren walked up and said "Well you boys ready to go?"

"Yes." Kaigi groaned.

"Alright, let's go!" Lauren said running off.

And with that, the three went off.

So, yeah. Still working on it, but here's the first Chapter and Prologue.

Chapter II


'I can't believe it's been ten years since my dad died ... I could care less, but that's a long time. I wonder how mom is doing ... She must be worried to death because of my job ... But who would waste my talents on a stupid job ... I guess my DAD would. Not mom though ... She just wanted me to be happy ...'

"Hey Kaigi, quit drifting out into space." Mortis said poking him.

"This is why I prefer to work alone." Kaigi replied, giving him a long glare and looking straight ahead. "Why is Lauren leading the way anyway? I'm the one with the book."

"Because she is ... well Lauren. You know."

Kaigi sighed and said "Right."

"What are you two conspiring back there?!" Lauren yelled.

"Nothing." Mortis said.

"We're conspiring to overthrow you, so that Mortis can get his money back and we can leave you back here." Kaigi said blankly.

"He's a sissy, there's no way he would even TRY to get his money back."

"Why am I always the one picked on?" Mortis sighed.

"Because it's just so much fun." Kaigi said, opening the book and looking at the first face that showed up. "Ryoki Saulen? Let's see ... He's a pretty tough guy, but he isn't very bright. He's suppose to be head of a gang in Kaikin. That's not too far from here, so we should go for him first."

"I agree." Mortis said.

"Hey, I'M the leader here. I make the decisions." Lauren pointed out.

"No, you're just a tag along like him." Kaigi said pointing to Mortis. "You guys are just with me because i'm broke and need food to live."

"Fine fine fine, we'll go there." Lauren responded.

"I think we should stop soon though, you guys look tired." Kaigi suggested, pointing to a close by Inn.

"Trying to get the girl in bed?" Mortis teased.

"If I wanted to, she'd already have been there." Kaigi whispered, being serious, and joking at the same time.

The three walked into the Inn, and walked up to the Inn Keeper.

"Hi, we need a room please." Lauren said.

"Sure thing." The Inn Keeper said, as Lauren handed him the money, and the Keeper handed her a key.

"Thank you." Lauren said, as they all went into the room.

"Kids these days, can't just stand for one." The Inn Keeper said sighing and shaking his head.

"I don't care where you guys sleep but I get the bed!" Lauren said jumping on the bed.

"But it's MY money, I should get the bed." Mortis responded.

"NO! You may have the couch if you like." Lauren said smiling.

"Better do what she says." Kaigi said looking at Mortis.

"Where are you gonna sleep Kaigi?" Lauren asked.

"Right next to you." He joked.

"No really, where?"

"I probably won't. I'll probably just sit in that chair over there."

"Everyone needs sleep Kaigi." Mortis responded.

"I'm nocturnal. But I can deal with no sleep. Not a big deal." Kaigi stated.

"Come on Kaigi, how stupid do you think we are? Humans aren't nocturnal."

"Look, i'll be fine you guys just get some sleep. We're going to travel a lot. Better make the most of the rest you will get. We're leaving at 8 AM. If you're late i'm taking the money and leaving you here."

"Alright alright, sheesh." Mortis said, as he laid down on the couch. "Wow. This is comfy." He said glaring at Lauren. "Give me a pillow."

"Oh, okay." Lauren said as she launched a pillow at him.

"Nice." Mortis said as he caught it, and rested his head on it.

Kaigi stayed in the chair silently.

'That man ... I wonder ... Is he a descendant from the Seishou? If only I could have seen what he did ... I would know. He could just be special like me, but something about him ... Ah, I should stop worrying.' Kaigi thought.

And with that, most of them had fallen asleep. Kaigi however, remained awake.


"Sir, we have found another."

"Another? Another what?"

"Seishou."

"My my ... That's an interesting development. But what evidence do you have?"

"We have a witness to his powers."

"Who might that be?"

"Me. Ryoki Saulen. He's just a kid, but he's powerful. I saw one thing he did with his hands, it was amazing. He just blasted me into the ground."

"Hm ... Tell me, what does he look like?"

"Well, he's got brown hair, blue eyes, and a necklace with a ninja star I think."

"The Shuriken? . . . Quick, we must move the base out of this range until preparations are complete. He could be a great ally, but I do not think he will join without some sort of initiative."

"Yes sir."


It was morning time, about 7:30 AM. Kaigi had already gotten up, and showered. He didn't pack any clothes, none of them did, so they would either have to wash them themselves and wear them wet, or not wash them. Kaigi would only wash them if they were dirty, so he just put them back on. He walked down to the lobby of the Inn, and sat on the couch, looking at the clock every now and then.

Lauren was just now waking up, and looking at the time. "Huh, looks like I should get ready." Lauren said getting up, and getting in the shower.

Soon woken by the sound of running water Mortis mumbled "7:40 ... I can still sleep another ten minutes ..." dozing back off.

Soon, a girl by the look about eighteen, walked up and sat down next to Kaigi. She had long brown hair, and cold blue eyes, very similar to those of Kaigi. She wore a Green T-Shirt, blue jeans, a black belt, and black sneakers. She looked at the clock as well, and then at the table in front of them. After awhile she looked back at the clock and noticed Kaigi's necklace.

"Hey, that's an interesting necklace you got there. Where'd you get it?" She asked curiously.

"My mom gave it to me when I was six." Kaigi responded.

". . . I'm Mikomi by the way." She responded.

"Kaigi." He said looking back at the clock.

"Waiting for someone?"

"Lauren and Mortis."

"Wait, did you say Mortis?"

"You know him?"

"Yeah, he taught me a few things about being a Meda-Bolic."

"So you're one to?"

"A traveling one. I go wherever there are a bunch of criminals I can cash in on."

"You came because of the recent break out I imagine?"

"Yeah. I'm gonna help out. What about you?"

"I'm leaving for the big fish that have ran out of the town."

"Aha. Well, good luck with that."

"I don't believe in luck." Kaigi said, as he looked over at the clock again. It was a minute til'.

Suddenly he saw Lauren rushing down the stairs, followed by Mortis tumbling down face first.

Kaigi sighed and said, "If you want to talk to Mortis you can go ahead, but we will have to leave shortly."

"That's okay. I need to go to. Bye Kaigi." She said running out the door.

Lauren walked up and said "Why must you always make the girls run away?" In a joking way.

"Very funny. She talked to me, and left on her own. All right Mortis, it's time to go." Kaigi said leaving the Inn.

And with that, the three headed for Kaikin.
