New Site

Ok, so some of you may have heard that there is a new site being developed for CarSpottings.... and yes,there is.

I have spent the last 5 weeks on design, constantly chopping and changing. We now have a final design, and wea re now steadily filling it up with content. We predict this to take 3 weeks from now.

And a little teaser just to really annoy you -

Hehe, thats a very mean teaser, adam . Yeah it looks good and i will also let people know that the thumbs will be quite big on the page for photo's around 400X300 to be different from other websites and i also prefer big thumbs to see if i want to see the image in full high resolution! . So stay tuned for this big difference and i hope you will like the design of the new template. Congratulations adam for making this for me!

I may also add that the way the site will work for me and adam seen as we live at the other side of scotland from each other is

I will take pics and edit them all in photoshop and probably every month send off the disc to adam who will then upload them to the server because he can do 1 pic in 10 seconds and it takes 2 minutes for one pic for me . Thats how the site will work. - Just thought i would add this

One thing I was wondering was, if the thumbs will now be larger, will there be a smaller limit to thumbs per post?

Im sure that after the site is refreshed, more members will come and contribute. Even if that isnt the case, I will still exclusevly share my pics on CSF!

Awesome Rob, you can move up the ranks from member to mod or admin maybe . I don't think there will be a limit. The image thumbs refresh very quickly. The images themselves take a little time to load but thats just how it is

Is this in the forum or the main page?

We can fit as many pictures on a pag on the website as we want - although me may put a 20 picture limit on each page, to speed up loading times.

Nopefully we will be implementing a VBulletin Forum in the near future, but for now we will be sticking with InvisionFree.

Hah, well 3 weeks turned into 3 months.

Teething troubles, not managing to do the site took up its time, so sorry about that!
